Not worth the inflated price. Some of mains not up to standard. Extremely disappointed with minimalistic servings. Also, extremely difficult to access.
Stayed on the High Street and went here every morning of our visit. Really good coffee and excellent breakfast sarnies. The lads were particularly friendly 👍
Had an early table booked for dinner today, and what a good idea it was.It had been a beautiful day and the view from the Hotel that contains the Tonnau restaurant is truly spectacular. We had a drink from the bar and took in the view whilst pondering over the menu which is quite comprehensive for all tastes. My wife chose the sea bass on a bed of veg and I chose the Italian chicken with mash and veg. These mains were beautifully cooked and presented hot and fresh. The desserts were duperb also and we retired back to the bar for coffee.
The dining room is nicely presented with plush carpet and soft furnishings. The bar and lounge is also luxuriously fitted out and of course has the view. All staff were friendly and efficient and we had s really nice evening.
We are not vegan or indeed vegetarian but would rate the food in this restaurant as the very best we have every experienced. The food is of an outstanding quality, intricate, delicate and put together with love. I cannot praise the food highly enough. The manager is attentive, informed and great fun. We love this restaurant. I can't believe they can put together such a meal at this price.
The food, hospitality and drink were excellent! I had soup and garlic bread, all delicious. My wife had mushroom en croute and vegetables, which was similarly tasty. Recommend it heavily, cool posters too!!
l love this place and go there as often as I can, although I live a long drive away. I had a pre booked three course lunch there on my return from my car dealership in North Wales and enjoyed every minute of it. Unlike any other place I know there was a choice of four dishes for each the starter, main and dessert. The quality and amount of food is incredible and I know many meat eaters who like to eat there as well. Who wouldn't want to help animal welfare and fight global warming if we want to continue to live on what used to be a life sustaining, beautiful planet?
Fabulous Festive Afternoon Tea 🎄😊 the afternoon tea was amazing. Lots of it and absolutely first class home made food at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend this tea room. The proprietors are so welcoming and friendly.
The gift shop has all sorts too and is a great present shopping place.
Thank you 👍
The cafe staff happily accommodated our family group of 8 adults for a lunch. They kindly reserved a table for us so that we were guaranteed a space after our morning walk.
The menu included all day breakfast which several of us ordered. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared, hot and fresh. There was a specials board and those meals were very good too.
The cafe environment was clean, comfortable and airy. The cafe was attached to and part of the village community centre. We felt we were made very welcome and were happy to know that we were supporting the community centre. All in all a lovely experience.
Excellent coffee. Freshly ground. Lovely service. We turned up with a group of nine for takeaway. Coffees and luxury hot chocolates all round. Fabulous.
Amazing pizzas, we had some from the day's specials menu. The picnic benches nearby provided a beautiful location in which to enjoy them. The staff are very friendly (like everyone in Aberdaron) and there is plenty of choice on the menu, all cooked to order.
Smashing off licence/ wine bar/ wine shop in Dolgellau. Really friendly and a nice place to hang out for an hour. The owner couldn't be more welcoming, and we look forward to popping in when we are in the area. Wine's not cheap, but it's good, with plenty of rarities. Go on. Treat yourself. The Slate gin is great, and we had to come here on the way back to the Midlands since my wife had nearly chugged a bottle during our week in Aberdyfi.
