Had the afternoon tea for 2 as a cost of £25 Cannot fault the quality of the food - however was not expecting Micro Portions. When the food arrived I thought it was for one person and not two!!! Portions should be more generous for the price!!

Unfortunately my visit to the Bangor Cricket Club was for a wake. But that was the best food I've ever had at a wake. A large selection of tasty and well presented food. Highly recommended, don't wait for a wake before you visit!

We visit The Cricket Pavilion regularly, this visit was for the delicious breakfast which is a favourite of ours. Full Welsh / English , everything cooked to perfection as usual and plenty of freshly baked toast and butter and speciality tea or coffee. The friendly , helpful staff are always on hand to make sure all is well. Next time we are going to have the highly recommended afternoon tea , have seen it served at and it certainly looks tempting, dainty sandwiches ,cakes and sones, Perfect! The menu board of freshly cooked meals also looked very inviting, we will be back very soon for sure!

Just arrived home after eating afternoon tea at this establishment and feeling disappointed. We were in a party of 12 ladies who were looking forward to a nice tea after hearing favourable results. Every one of the ladies were disappionted with the meagre offerings - bitesize sandwiches and pieces of cake that you measured in mm all loaded together on a cakestand. This is definitely not the standard that we expected and felt it was a ripoff at £12.50 a head

This was my second visit as I was impressed by the previous afternoon tea a few months ago. How things have changed! Four of us had the afternoon tea to the cost of £50 between us, although the tiny portions of food were tasty and fresh was not worth the money this time. The scones were tiny this time, and although we were offered more tea or coffee, were not offered any more food like before, very disappointing!

I was treated to a lovely buffet from the Cricket Pavilion to mark my retirement from work. The fresh bread was absolutely fabulous (too good, I couldn't resist having several hunks), the meats varied and the quiche and salads very tasty. The Victoria sponge was huge - and agin, very hard to resist! Thank you to you all for the great and unexpected lunch.

I enjoyed a very delicious afternoon tea with my mum--in-law - there was no special occasion, we simply enjoy each other's company. I did wonder where she was taking me as she drove onto the industrial estate opposite Screwfix - but do not be fooled by the nondescript exterior. What lies inside the Pavilion is a thriving, beautifully presented, slightly quaint tea room full of atmosphere and serving delicious home-cooked food. It was very busy so we did have to wait a short while, but we weren't in any hurry so it wasn't a problem. Our afternoon tea arrived in 2 tasty tiers - a selection of fresh, soft sandwiches and mini sausage rolls, plus a selection of cakes - moist chocolate brownies, mini lemon posset tarts, meringues and fresh scones with jam and cream. The portion sizes are perfect - just big enough without being overfacing. There was more on offer if we wanted it, but we were nicely content. I can only urge you to book a table and see for yourself. Wonderful.

We called here after a morning of football and it was the perfect end to a wonderful day. We’ve been here before so we know how good the food and service is and on this occasion, it exceeded our expectations. The cricketers platter was sublime, so fresh and original, nothing like the bland platters you get in the various named restaurants that scatter the North Wales coast. And as for the soup, it was probably the tastiest I’ve ever had! Everything about our visit was perfect.

Having heard good things, we stopped for lunch with two kids. Meals were lovely, my only very minor criticism was that the plaice goujon sandwich is on bog standard brown bread, rather than something a bit fancier. Just me being fussy though! You will never just stumble across this place but if you are looking for it and you find yourself on an industrial estate opposite screwfix, be glad, your're there and inside you would think you were miles away. Quaintgarden themed decor , windows overlooing the cricket pitch. Staff very friendly but todaay were rushed off their feet so service was slow. I easily forgive them that though given the food. My son had chicken curry with rice and ( obviously) a side of chips. The chicken pecees were enormous and the portion size just about defeated him ( not bad as he has hollow legs) I had the sweet potato and carrot soup which was clearly home made and delicious. There are options for the food intolerant ( gluten free bread provided wht my soup and decaff soya milk cappucino on request)- just ask, they really are extremely freindly . THere is a selection of cakes and they now also sesrve a limited number of red boat icecream flavours. The pistachio was fab, not the usual pistachio flavouring but proper pistachio ice cream.

Booked a table here for my friend's birthday. She's always wanted to have an afternoon tea somewhere, so I booked here on recommendation... And we weren't disappointed! We were greeted by lovely staff who showed us to our lovely table. We had proper little teacups and a tea pot, then they bought out our food on a lovely little stand. We had 4 different fillings in the triangle sandwiches, two leek and cheese Sausage roll things, coffee and walnut cake, lemon drizzle, meringue, lemon posset and a freshly baked scone with jam and clotted cream. It looked amazing. My only complaint if you can call it that was that I'd have preferred a couple of extra savoury things, but that's just me as I can't have too many sugary things. We also ordered a bottle of prosecco which we took outside to enjoy in the sun. I paid £10 each for the food and tea, and £14 for the prosseco... A bargain price to see the smile on my friend's face.

Called today for lunch as we were in the area. Pastel shades decorate the cricket pavilion to give a light and airy feel. Orders are taken at the table which is always a nice touch. The menu is limited but that's hardly surprising, from what I can gather it is a relatively new enterprise and also being the beginning of February, I sure that it's hard to estimate your potential customers! Having said that, there were probably around 20 people already there enjoying lunch when we arrived.

Great lunch today at the updated Cricket Pavilion. Now light and airy with flowers decorating the tables and windowsills. The food was tasty, homemade and reasonably priced, the staff were helpful and we all had a nice time as the atmosphere was so welcoming. Recommended for a visit - I have still not tried the fish chowder so will have to come again :-)

Came for lunch. Had tried to come last week but couldn't find the place (for future reference it's opposite Screw Fix). The Cricket Pavilion has a chilled atmosphere and lovely food. Will definitely be returning.

Visited this morning. Gorgeous inside - decor is lush. Felt like I could even visit solo for a coffee. Staff really friendly, relaxed and helpful. Great coffee and delicious cakes! So good we stayed for an extra round!

Was told about this place by a friend who said it was lovely and she was certainly right. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. A delicious menu but as we had already had lunch we settled for just coffee and scones. Beautiful coffee and the scones were some of the best we have ever tasted. Incredibly fresh and light. Really lovely. The choice of cakes and pastries was superb and it was obvious that they were all home made which makes a difference these days. Will definitely go back again and try some of the other items on the menu. Plenty of space to park. The place was really clean and welcoming. If you are planning a visit to the adjacent Penrhyn Castle, I would suggest that you visit this café either before or after. Excellent value for money.

We found this recently opened cafe by chance... What a top class experience. We found that is run by two sisters and presented in a welcoming homely style. All the food offered is home cooked and delicious. I know they do a small varied breakfast menu with somethings unusual for but we dined in the afternoon. We had a soup a fish chowder and a cake... All were excellently presented and so fresh! All in all,you must call!

What a great find. Lovely new tea room/cafe recommended by garage owner while we were waiting for our car to be fixed. Totally amazed when we walked in, not what we were expecting at all. Amazing hot chocolate and latte, brownies and scones were out of this world. Lovely welcome from the staff, they couldn't do enough for us. Can't wait to go back.

Staying at the Celtic Royal again we decided to treat ourselves! Slightly put off by seemingly expensive menu but the portions were amazing and food cooked to a really high standard. And then, the puddings! Amazing choice and absolutely delicious! We’ll be back - I hope!

A charming little place run by James & Joseph, hope I got that right 🤔 It was interesting to listen to James telling their family story of how this small business came about, you always wonder don't you. It's spotlessly clean, & run very efficiently, with real tasty food, & at great prices. I've walked past this place many times, but not anymore. I'm coming back for you!

Had a two night stay here over the weekend of the 6th Sept and what a wonderful little place it is. Emma and Menno were the most welcoming, friendly hosts and we immediately felt like this was a home from home, our room was very cosy and complete with home made Welsh cakes that went down a treat with a cup of tea after the long drive. The breakfasts were amazing and with the added twist of a Dutch breakfast option courtesy of Menno. The tea rooms are currently closed allowing for a lovely spacious breakfast room which is decorated with photos and keepsakes from all over the world. Emma gave us pointers on the local eateries and places to go and even filled up our water bottles for us when we went out on our hike. This is a fantastic base for walking with easy access to both the Rydd Ddu, and Snowdon Ranger paths up Snowdon as well as having several lakes and close by to the Nantile Ridge. Ty Mawr is currently up for sale which is a shame because we would definitely stay again. Thank you Emma and Menno for giving us a really lovely stay.
