We booked this restaurant just before we set off on holiday, and were glad we did. After a long journey we arrived and were greeted by the friendly owner. The food was delicious, I started with the bisque which was outstanding, thank you. Main course was a selection of three different fish, also delicious and compliments to the chef. It's probably the end of the season now, but this place is well worth visiting if you enjoy seafood and friendly atmosphere.

A great local chippy just a 20-minute walk from the town centre. Popped in one midweek afternoon. Good service and very good fish & chips. Reasonably priced and delicious too! Recommended.

A fabulous place, such an amazing atmosphere. Beautiful views across the bay and to the castle. The team were fabulous, can’t rate them highly enough. It was our anniversary and they made it really special. The food was delicious, local and beautifully presented

Just about the most amazing fish&chips we have ever had. The chips are a combination of crispy and melt in your mouth perfection, and the fish really tastes like it was caught an hour ago. Trust me, ignore the rest and take a walk one street back from the seafront..you won't regret it!

What an amazing transformation…the restaurant has found its spark! We went for drinks on the terrace and the team were all happy to help. Sean was very attentive and assisted in amending my Easter Saturday booking. Look forward to eating there very soon.

We visited a few times during our long weekend in Pennal and received a warm welcome each time. We had a delicious meal one night and were spoilt for choice with the menu including a specials board promoting local meats (would recommend booking a table for dinner). A great selection of beers but we opted for the very tasty Welsh beer, Largo, and enjoyed a Shiraz on another visit. Clearly popular with the local community and very welcoming to visitors too, we’ll definitely return to enjoy the food and the beer garden again.

La comida era increíble. Pedimos pescado con papas fritas y salchichas gigantes. La masa era ligeramente esponjosa y crujiente, deliciosa para comer. El servicio era amable y nos cuidó mucho.

Well picked this as very good reviews on TripAdvisor... so wish l had gone elsewhere. Queued in the shop as expected only to finally be pointed directly at by the man frying the fish and stated 'what do you want'.. where's the yes madam what would you like to order... I was startled but politely asked if they did large cod... only for him to wave at the menu board behind him saying just what's on there.. so l then asked if they had any haddock in.. he rolled his eyes and said yes in a rather short manner. So l asked for 1 cod & 1 haddock... As you would hope everything is cooked to order and 2-3 customers then placed their orders. Whilst waiting we had a friendly chat with the lovely 2 ladies serving the orders. Then suddenly he rudely snapped at them... have you taken their money, why would they as no one had got as far as actually getting to the point of their food being cooked, wrapped, or even reached the till..... l felt sorry for them to be so rudely treated by whom l guess was the boss/owner of this fish & chip shop. Plus the others in the queue looked embarrassed for them. Well l was politely served and bought our dinner home, the chips were good, not over cooked and a nice colour... however my husband left half his small piece of haddock as he said it was so dry and not at all flakey... in fact rather over cooked. As for my cod oddly one end was lovely the other you could hit it and my fork bounced off it like it was rubber. I know it was midweek but surely a fish and chip shop with a supposedly excellent rating could serve up food better than this with fish in a descent portion size by a more agreeable man.

This was a last minute booking but so glad we went. The set up is basic and there appeared to only be one server but boy did she do well. The menu is a bit different but all the dishes we chose were delicious. 2 Paella's, one Spanish prawns and one meatballs. Amazing flavours and very different from anything you will find in the area. Not a scrap left on any of our plates so that says it all. Dog friendly too! Give it a go if you fancy something different.
