Twnti Seafood Restaurant in Gwynedd

We booked this restaurant just before we set off on holiday, and were glad we did. After a long journey we arrived and were greeted by the friendly owner. The food was delicious, I started with the bisque which was outstanding, thank you. Main course was a selection of three different fish, also delicious and compliments to the chef. It's probably the end of the season now, but this place is well worth visiting if you enjoy seafood and friendly atmosphere.

This is a truly excellent seafood restaurant- top quality produce, beautifully cooked. Keith is a great host and his wife is obviously a talented chef .There is a very good choice on the menu - we had scallops and smoked haddock pancake for starters, and Lobster Thermidor and Halibut loin for mains - everything was perfectly cooked, and expertly seasoned. There is an excellent wine list and we chose a Louis Jadot Macon .Villages with our dinner which worked really well. We shared a beautifully light chocolate torte with a glass of Elysium Black Muscat which goes so well with chocolate. There are not many seafood restaurants of this standard in the U.K. so I would recommend Twnti to anyone who is fortunate to be within driving distance!

Consistency - great food every time - is the most difficult thing to achieve with a restaurant but over the now 20 years we have been coming to this one, it has managed to do that, mostly because of the chef -she is a wonderful fish cook. So this visit was the same as the last - simply great food and wine.

Had the Thai seabass absolutely stunning soft , moist full of flavour. This is an elegant seafood restaurant we have been frequenting for over 5 years,the best fish place for miles around . No gimmicks just individually cooked food no rush a perfect night out with perfect hosts. The scallops are to die for . Well done Keith and Maurissa my favourite place to eat x

Terrible over priced and worst experience ever could cook better at home scallops where chewy and over cooked and really greasy Thai style sea bass was horrible all soggy worst fish ever

We prefer to go out of season so we can have a bit more time with the proprietors, and as always Keith and Maurissa delivered. We were greeted with smiles from the staff and a short conversation in Welsh from the bartender, which is always nice. Keith, as ever, a wonderful host. He already knew the wine we liked to drink and had it prepared ready for our arrival, you can't beat a cold glass of Fernlands. After taking our orders and a bit of a chin-wag we were courteously ushered to the table with water and bread ready for consumption, eagerly awaiting the most fabulous food in the area. My partner said the Seafood hors d'oeuvres were to die for (I hope not literally). We had Dover Sole and the Seafood Platter, divine. A shame the King of fish, John Dory was not available. We were then treated to a fantastic home made Bakewell tart, simply superb. I implore anyone to visit before they retire. Hopefully they will be open next year for another round of fantastic food.

It was our first visit to the Twnti seafood restaurant after we had seen that it was in the final 10 of best seafood restaurants in wales, we were not disappointed. My wife and son had the fillet steak, which was cooked to perfection, I had the seafood platter, half lobster with garlic butter, scollops and king prawns, these were all succulent and cooked to perfection by an amazing chef who really knows her stuff. Keith our host gave excellent service, he told us all about the building and some stories from his 33 years at the helm of this fantastic restaurant. We had a fantastic evening and we can’t wait to go again soon.

Food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the scallops, they were fantastic. We also had the three fish dish which was cooked amazingly. Definitely worth the price. I would come back to the Llyn Peninsula just to visit this restaurant.

This was the third time we have been there and it was absolutely fabulous as always. The food was divine and the service was spot on. We would definitely recommend a visit here for seafood connoisseurs.

We had a enjoyable evening at Twnti Seafood Restaurant, We shared the seafood hors d'oeuvres, which was a good range of seafood with crusty bread & apple for two. Mains were duck & trio of fish, all excellent. Desserts also good. Service was excellent & friendly.

Just had a fabulous meal at Twnti, the first time we’ve been but won’t be the last. Starters were delicious and main courses superb - I had Dover Sole and my husband the steak, they were fresh, tasty and expertly cooked. Puddings were also lovely, sorbet and a lovely “eastern mess” which was delicious, not as sweet as traditional eton mess and with more interesting flavours. It was a lovely friendly place as well.

Our first visit back to Twnti since Covid and it was just as amazing as the previous visit Keith was his usual bubbly, charming self, a delight to chat with and Marisa's food was the best. We both had the baked king scallops to start, which were perfectly cooked and both chose the trio of fish fillets with lemon butter. Hake, salmon and sea bream served with a selection of veg and potatoes, every mouthful was a delight. We finished off with the sicilian trifle and sticky toffee pudding for dessert, a perfect end to a fabulous meal. We were so excited to be visiting again and we were not disappointed. We urge anyone to visit this amazing restaurant and we really hope we get the chance to go again soon. Les and Ivo x

It had been at least 20 yrs since i was last here and it was just a fabulous experience dining here once again. Yes it is more pricey than other establishments in the area but the food is cooked superbly and the owners are fabulous hosts and very attentive. It was all a super treat and we hope not to leave it so long until our next visit. Although the décor has not changed in all those years it is well looked after and a very cosy ambience. It feels special. I had the Seafood Hors D'oeuvres and the Grilled Seafood Platter and it was divine. Such a delicious feast! The flavours were fabulous and every mouthful was a joy! Thank you kindly to the owners.

Truly beautiful seafood, perfectly prepared. The mixed seafood platter was wonderful. Worth every penny - we will most definitely be back.

Without doubt the best seafood for miles! Still owned and run to perfection by Keith and Marisa. The decor is still the same 20 years on, but that’s what makes this place so unique. They concentrate on hospitality and good quality food. If you’re lucky enough to visit when Marisa’s shell fish bisque is on the menu, followed by the garlic butter lobster, then order that! You’ll then understand why this place is 10 out of 10! Keith may even turn the Motown classics up at the end of the night, and you can have a dance!

It is still here, which is important as there are so few good places to eat now on the Peninsular. It is expensive like so many places post-Covid and recession time but the wild seabass we had was superbly cooked and just about the best fish dish we have had in the last decade. Wonderful.

We decided to treat ourselves to what seemed like a nice seafood restaurant on what would be our last night in North Wales, and it did not disappoint. The service was excellent, caring and professional, the restaurant itself is quite lovely and quirky, but definitely atmospheric... and the food is simply brilliant! We had the bisque and the potted crab to start, then the scallops and trio of fish, all of them were delicious, fresh and also nicely presented. We also shared the scrumptious sticky toffee pudding, equally great. A little more expensive than most other restaurants in the area, but it is worth every penny. A must go for any seafood lover.

This is the best restaurant we have found on the peninsula. It’s not cheap, but it really is very good. I recommend the bisque, the sole and the creme brûlée. My wife had the scallops, which did not look so plentiful, and the summer pudding which certainly did look good. There is a good wine list (I’m not sure any were available by the glass though).

We booked about 3 weeks in advance, vegetarians are tolerated if you give advance notice. My husband had langoustine bisque and lobster thermidore both divine. I had a stuffed pepper, very tasty, but this is predominantly a seafood lovers restaurant. The service was excellent and all in all a lovely evening. Thank you

This restaurant is a hidden gem nestled just outside Pwllheli the food is phenomenal I had the seafood bisque and the monk fish it was out of this world my wife had the salmon and the fillet steak the steak was cooked just right the staff work very hard at making you welcome and it pays off I’ll definitely go back again.

Absolutely wonderful- fancied seafood on a quick break to Wales and found the reviews for this place on TA! Did not disappoint at all! We drove an hour from where we were staying and it was in the middle of nowhere but what a gem!!The owner greeted us warmly and told us a little about the history and then we ordered. I had Shellfish Bisque which I’d always wanted to try, I’m so glad I waited to have it here, it was delicious- tasted like the sea (in a good way!). My husband had his favourite, Scallops which were also divine! Then I had fresh locally caught lobster which was as good as any I’ve had in Maine or Asia - it’s always my go to luxury dish for fish and I was so happy.My husband had the ‘King of Fish’ Dover sole which he said was fabulous. Finished off with Creme Brûlée’s - simply lovely. Atmosphere and food were second to none, I wish this place was round the corner from my house! Hat’s off to the chef (the owners wife) you’re amazing!! Highly recommended!

We’re staying in the area for a getaway and wanted to have some seafood, and I stumbled upon Twnti on google. I am so pleased I did! We got to eat with them on the first night of the new season and the food was absolutely stunning. We tried sea bream for the first time, and had some scallops and king prawns and it was all so delicious. Even the veg on the side was seasoned perfectly. A great example of simple and fresh ingredients showcased very well. The service was great, the owner was very friendly and we’re looking forward to coming again when we’re back in the area!!

My husband and I visited on Saturday evening for the first time whilst on honeymoon and had the most fabulous time. As soon as we arrived Keith was so friendly and welcoming, chatting to us like old friends. We felt so relaxed and at home. We were brought the menus and told about some additional mains not on the menu. Talk about spoiled for choice! We both decided on the scallops for starters and can honestly say that we have never tasted better. The scallops were so perfectly cooked and combined with pancetta and chorizo, the flavour combinations were sublime. For our main course we selected the Turbot and the grilled seafood platter. Both dishes were exquisite and served with a selection of perfectly cooked vegetables. We followed up these two courses with three, yes three desserts, as we couldn't narrow it down to just two. We opted for creme brulee with poached plums, bakewell tart with creme anglaise and sticky toffee pudding. We're so glad we did as every mouthful was perfection. Marisa, who does all of the cooking is a master chef in our opinion and teamed with Keith front of house with his charming friendly manner, this really is a dream team. We have eaten here many times over the years and it has always been excellent. The building itself is beautiful and as soon as you go through the door the brilliant service from the owner starts so that you immediately know that nothing will go wrong and it doesn't. Everything [tian of seafood, halibut, creme brulee] is cooked to perfection and served by a cheerful and super efficient waiter.We had a great meal and will return when we are next staying nearby.

Nice place, good service, good food. Expect good home cooked food, but expect to pay £60 per head.Don't think overall that Twnti deserves a five star rating, but that is purely down to personal choice, as we left feeling slightly underwhelmed after reading all the good reviews - I am sure that the restaurant pleases many regular customers.

The place is very quaint which is part of its charm. Warm and welcoming service, knowledgeable waiters. Everything is freshly made and beautiful presented. A real gem.

Past the restaurant so many times, cant believe it's taken us so long to call in and eat. The food was fantastic, I had the bisque and then trio of fish. Wow! Went with my best friend and her gorgeous daughter as it was my Birthday and my hubbie wasn’t taking me out! I had Nw York chicken and hime made chios.... a HUGE hit portion!!! Lovely!!!!! My friends had rhe steak which was perfectly cooked and tender!!!! Good prices and a nice atmosphere!!!! Too full for a pudding!!!

My husband and I visited on Sunday evening and had a wonderful time. From the moment we walked through the door Keith was so friendly and welcoming. We were absolutely spoiled for choice by the menu. Eventually we selected the Shellfish Tian and Seafood Hors d’oeuvres as starters. Both dishes were beautifully presented and so fresh, absolutely delicious. For our main course we selected Grilled Fish Trio with beurre blanc and rocket pesto and Lemon Sole Florentine. Both dishes were served with a delightful selection of vegetables. The flavours of both meals were exquisite - some of the best dishes we have ever tasted! We thoroughly approved of Keith’s music selections which suited us perfectly. We were able to thank Marisa, the chef, in person at the end of the evening - a very talented lady! There was also an excellent selection of wines available. We would thoroughly recommend a visit. Thank you for a memorable evening!

You don’t get a lot better than this. A remarkable place with well-earned longevity by dancing that clever dance between locals, one-offs (such as ourselves), singles, couple and families, all achieved by weaving skilful hospitality with exceptional food. I could wax lyrical about the specific meals we chose but frankly feel that whatever we had chosen would have been as exquisitely executed. Simply a wonderful evening. Whilst visiting our friends in. North Wales the treated us to a meal at this establishment! This was nothing short of exquisite! Every course was well balanced and clearly the produce was fresh! I had the scallops for the first course and the seafood platter for the main! Both were excellent ! Well worth a visit if you are in the area and looking for some fine dining! A very enjoyable experience.

I am not going to write a book about this place, but the food was superb as was the ambiance, acknowledged as one of the best restaurants in North Wales , it really was an experience and lived up to it"s reputation , definitely 5 star. One minus was the lack of parking space , but we will be back .

We both agree this was best meal we’d had at the Twnti Seafood restaurant. The atmosphere is always spot on for us: it’s laid back and relaxing and easy. Keith is always friendly and charming and a great host. The crab salad starter was sublime. The flavours are just beautiful. Very very addictive. My favourite aljotta seafood soup wasn’t available so I stepped outside my comfort zone and ordered whitebait and wasn’t sure how it would be. I needn’t have been worried. It was probably the best I’ve had. Just reminded me of Greek holidays as a child. Certainly not the dish that gets ruined by pubs with thick rock hard coatings of batter or breadcrumbs. These fish had barely a hint of a light dusting and all the fish was visible and the coating translucent and unobtrusive. It was heavenly. Just how it should be. I must add we had some Sicilian house white wine. That was delicious too. Nice and light and a lovely taste of that’s the correct word. We normally order a heavier kiwi Sauvignon but preferred the Sicilian this evening. The main courses were flawless. I ordered monk fish as a change again and was slightly concerned it might be over cooked or chewy as a lot of restaurants spoilt it like that. I needn’t have worried. It was Cooked to perfection and so tender and moist. A deft touch indeed from a chef at the top of her game. The red pepper and roasted tomato sauce was just how I hoped it would be. My friend loved her lemon sole florentine (I think she had) and cleaned her plate. It was served in a hollandaise sauce. I tried some and it was delicious. The small sautéed potatoes and boiled potatoes and vegetables were just right too. I personally don’t think you can buy a better meal and have better atmosphere on the peninsula. We booked early which might be the best time to go. My dessert needs a mention; the crême brulée was also delicious with the poached plums but the short bread is definitely the best I've had - it blew me away - it was so so light and melt in your mouth. I wanted to ask for another piece but decided I shouldn't. This place is a real treat.

We had booked a table as the reviews intimated that it woukd be busy but it was very quiet and had no atmosphere. The starters were very nice but our Dover sole at £38 each was very small and looked more like a kemon sole it had very little meat which was rubbery. We were very dissapointed and nentioned this atbyhe tine but it was just dismissed. It is a fish we particularly enjoy but not on this occasion.

It has taken a few years to visit Twnti, a delightful seafood restaurant run by husband and wife team, Keith & Marisa. Both starter & mains were beautifully prepared and tasted divine. I had thai seabass 'en papiotte' my husband had the special which was turbot with brown shrimps. Amazing! Puddings are home cooked and my chocolate brownie was perfectly gooey. Check out opening times as the restaurant closes at the end of October until next March but the wait will be worth it!

Came here for my birthday meal, what can I say, the food is beautiful, we had a selection of fish to start which we shared followed by lemon sole and halibut, both cooked to perfection. All the puddings are made on site and plenty of choice, cheese board available if you haven’t a sweet tooth!

Had a meal here a few weeks ago with friends after we were given a recommendation. Had scallops for starter, and the thai seabass as my main. Service was excellent! Waitress and waiter were very polite, and the young man at the bar was very knowledgeable when suggesting wines to go with our courses. Overall great price too for a table of 6 of us. Great night had by all!

We went on Saturday night having not been for quite a while. We were a little worried in case it had changed but we shouldn’t have, it’s just the same, excellent. My wife had a seafood platter and I had the lobster, both fantastic. Best seafood in the area.

The food is excellent. The service fantastic. Very warm and friendly. The place was spotless. Well worth a visit!

We decided on the Seafood Platter the meal was delicious however the cost for what was served seemed in my opinion to be excessive, please don't pre judge based on my thoughts but what are the cost's involved to produce the meal. The total cost for two seafood platters and two beers £98.

Cosy, friendly welcome. Halibut main course is superb. Fillet steak tasty. The seafood platter is fairly good, although for the price I wouldn’t expect the lobster to be tough which is was. Desserts were lovely.

We have eaten here a few times over a number of years. The food is always delicious and although a little pricey when eating as a family the taste and quality are well worth it. The staff are always friendly and efficient. The environment is relaxed and comfortable
