The Crab & Lemon in Gwynedd

This was a last minute booking but so glad we went. The set up is basic and there appeared to only be one server but boy did she do well. The menu is a bit different but all the dishes we chose were delicious. 2 Paella's, one Spanish prawns and one meatballs. Amazing flavours and very different from anything you will find in the area. Not a scrap left on any of our plates so that says it all. Dog friendly too! Give it a go if you fancy something different.

Lacked any atmosphere Starters .... garlic mushrooms and mussels very nice Main seafood pancake....just a stodgy mess. No fish hardly in it Sadly would not recommend and will not return

Terrible service and average food. Waitress forgot about us generally but also forgot part of our main and forgot when we came to pay the bill. Food, was alright but nothing to shout home about and very limited seafood, not even any fish on the menu whatsoever apart from the seafood pancake.

Relaxed , friendly restaurant with delicious food. Highly recommended . Excellent value for food and drink . I had the tasty meatballs and chorizzo which was flavoursome with right mix of seasoning and cooked in a rich tomato sauce accompanied by mediteranean vegetables which were cooked to perfection. Husband had the Gambas - prawns in a delicious lobster sauce with a side of crisp green beans. Background music added to the ambience as did the decor. Food was cooked extremely well - presentation was first class and the service warm and welcoming. A real little gem in Criccieth

Massive disappointment! We thought we'd stumbled across something special during our visit to Criccieth... nothing could be further from the truth. The decor... cold, dark and uninviting. Plastic plant on the table, a tealight would have helped maybe! The food... I'm not even sure where to begin! Basic! I've never felt the need to write a TripAdvisor review before now! We had starters and mains. The Langostino looked incredibly uninviting and because they had been previously cooked and chilled were really hard to get 'clean' after peeling. They came with half a lemon, a tiny bowl of prawn cocktail sauce and several slices of baguette. I really struggled to find anything Mediterranean about the whole dish. My husband had the squid which was probably the best of the four dishes we had but he said he'd definitely had way better. The seafood pancake! Swimming in lobster (cheese sauce) it definitely would have been easier to eat with a spoon. I struggled to find any actual flakes of salmon or smoked haddock, although I did find a few prawns amongst the mush! The pancake itself was raw, as in no colour, and just added to the overall mush experience. Taste wise it was fisherman's pie. Again nothing Mediterranean inspired in my opinion. The meatballs with chorizo! Chewy and tasteless in what we think was a very plain passata sauce... so no hint of garlic or herbs and definitely no seasoning. We didn't bother asking to see the dessert menu and in all honesty we wished we had cancelled our mains and paid and left after the starters. In our humble opinion this restaurant lacks love and a basic respect and understanding of what is good food. We both commented that it was very amateur, uninspiring and beyond disappointing.

What an amazing night for my birthday, they went all out, 14 of us really impressed with the service, food was excellent!!!thank you all for an amazing night, and everyone wants to come back and try something different. Diolch o galon am pob dimxxx

Great addition to the food scene in this part of Wales. Excellent mix of fish and shellfish and a heavy Mediterranean influence. My wife and I shared three Tapas (chorizo, feta and halloumi) as a starter. Mains were a seafood pancake and meatballs on a flatbread. All really well prepared and cooked. No room for puds. Would definitely come back if we were coming this way again. Would imagine it will be very busy when the season starts - certainly should be.

First time visiting and it won’t be our last. Very tasty food, especially the seafood pancake and the Lobster Thermidor. Would recommend.

We were really looking forward to our evening here after reading the reviews. The fish menu looked great, I think we made the mistake of going for the tapas menu. Had far better, was quite tasteless. The house wine was very good though. We asked for the dessert menu , a choice of brownies or sorbet. Won’t be rushing back

We saw this place as we went past on the train and decided to give it a go. OMG we were not disappointed. We couldnt decide what to have so we had 3 tapas between us to start and a delicious seafood meal each for mains. The restaurant is beautifully designed and tasteful, the waitresses were extremely efficient and friendly and the food... mmmm. There was also a great choice of local beer. We will definitely be going back. A real find.

A little gem in Criccieth! So lovely to have a new restaurant to sample and so glad we did! Lovely food run by a lovely family. A varied menu focusing on Greek and Spanish cuisine. Highly recommend the tomato and mozzarella salad as well as the mussels!! Husband absolutely loved his king prawn pizza!

Beautiful Lovely Relaxed atmosphere small family run Mediterranean restaurant just off the high street . Food amazing ! Best seafood fresh , tasty and good choices , reasonably priced to. Waitresses very friendly ,attentive . Will definitely visit again soon ,

We dined as a table of 4 celebrating a birthday. We received excellent service from start to finish, prompt waitress service and very tasty freshly cooked food. This place is a must visit in criccieth for a little taste of the Mediterranean with a relaxed ambiance. We will be back!

First visit tonight and it was so nice we booked again for the following night, we both had a starter and both ordered off the weekend specials menu I had the mussels and prawn in white wine sauce my mom had prawns in creamy sauce baked with mozzarella served with patatas bravas and both meals were delicious can't wait to go back.

Excellents tapas, tous plus savoureux les uns que les autres, un cadre agréable et une longue discussion avec le couple de patrons. Un super moment inattendu. Pour couronner la soirée : une facture très digeste!

What a disappointing visit, could only get a table at seven but was done by Eight. Had the bread and oils with the mozzarella- tomato starter, the bread was cold and the tomatoes were fridge temperature. Before I could even wipe my fingers the main arrived! She’ll on prawns were dirty the pata bravas had stood and were dry. Everything could have been cooked in a school lesson

Managed to get the last booking available on a Thursday evening. So thankful we did. Atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed in a unique cozy setting. Menu is simple but well thought out with plenty of choice. Food was absolutely stunning and cooked to perfection. Very reasonably priced. Perfect evening. Would highly recommend and would suggest booking early based on our experience.
