Excellent food, spotlessly clean. Don’t let the location fool you - this place is very well run with a wide selection of breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes. Value for money and quality ingredients.

Love Breaktimes! Myself and colleagues always come here for a cheeky breakfast or get together at lunch time.... If we don't have time for a sit down, then we have a takeaway. Whatever it is, always 5* service and food, the kitchen team are lovely too when we pick up for a takeaway. Very clean and warm welcome. Full English here is highly recommended... Bangin!

Open on an Easter Sunday, what a god send. Had the most amazing breakfast cooked to perfection. The restaurant is lovely and clean. We will definitely be returning again.

We all agreed with the other reviews and only wrote this as an up to date version. We visited Breaktimes today and had an amazing breakfast. The service was great, the place was clean and well presented. Yes, it’s in an industrial state but don’t let that dissuade you from visiting.

Breaktimes is a great place to have food. The staff are professional and welcoming.

Thick bloomer bread, thick bacon and nice creamy yolk in the fried egg, what more do you want? Others had full breakfast and they looked just as good and plenty on the plate. Diolch

Totally brilliant place for breakfast. The "popular" one, it's amazing Possibly far too much to eat, will definitely highly recommend without hesitation. Especially if you're staying in the travel lodge, its just round the corner

Popped in for breakfast. Clean. Shown to table. The prices are OK. Top end for what you get. Plus you have to go upto the counter to order your drinks and food. For the price they should come to you to take the orders. The food was nice. Good quality. Didn't wait long. It was busy.

I've always had difficulty finding a good place for lunch (in Porthmadog) so Breaktimes (despite being on an industrial estate: glad I didn't let that put me off) was perfect: great food, friendly service, pricing good for nowadays and for the quality of the food. It's also licensed which is a real bonus after shopping in Porthmadog or coming here for a day out by train. We were also able to take our dog but I think we could only sit outside (?) so I'm glad it was a good day. Our waitress immediately brought her a bowl of water which was such a nice touch. Our food was excellent (Penang sweet potato curry for me, and a very good beefburger for husband). I've since told friends about/highly recommended Breaktimes and look forward to my next Porthmadog outing just for lunch 'out'!

Fine apart from the butter, why would you send butter out that can be spread because it's to cold!! Couldn't butter toast until id finished my breakfast! Plus not dog friendly!

Great place for a breakfast, whilst staying at the Travelodge, only a 2 minute walk to this place. Been there a number of times.

Great food, pleasant service and excellent value

Excellent food and variety. My only negative might be to have a section for workers wearing dirty clothes or overalls, but it was very clean and welcoming.

Such a hidden gem. Due to the location, i assumed it would be a small place. But the interior is so warm and welcoming. Staff and friendly. Didn't expect the portions for the food. The toats were the best I've ever had.

Nice place, a cut above the average Cafe on a trading/industrial estate. Food was top quality, i got the all day breakfast. The hash browns were excellent, large and perfectly cooked, sausages were good quality, the beans come in a little pot which is nice for those who don't want the beans smothering the rest. The tea is all Twinings, the best you can get really and they have a good range. A good size plate, i couldn't eat it all because my stomach has shrunk a bit from pneumonia this last week. The place is clean, nicely decorated, the staff are nice and the service is excellent, it's as good as a place you would find on a waterfront somewhere but it's tucked away on the trading/industrial estate behind Sports Direct.

What a hidden gem amazing place hidden on industrial estate next to lidl! Amazing quality of food and fantastic service would definitely recommend if you’re in the area! Well, the food, an incredible menu that can fit any persons interests, it's hard to choose and from someone who's had almost everything, it's absolutely delicious. A good resturant is nothing without it's staff, and this is the reason why we are so proud to go here. The owners are some of the kindest people I've ever met, so incredibly welcoming and friendly, not to mention every other staff member. You should all be extremely proud of the place and home you have built that has such a kind and genuine feeling to it. For all the reasons above, we 100% recommend eating here! Great cafe, could be a little cleaner, visited 2 days ago, got seated straight away which was great, no wait, there was food left under table which wasn't cleaned and table itself was in need of a little wipe over.

Hidden gem! Our first visit yesterday and highly recommended. Hoped to return New Year's Day but unfortunately couldn't . The menu is the most extensive breakfast choice I have seen. The staff were excellent, in particular Cari who was delightful; engaging, professional and very efficient. We will return, and did I mention that its licensed! Came here for breakfast this morning, had 'The Best' with additional tomatoes and mushrooms. It lives up to it's name, it's possibly the best cooked breakfast I've had. All the constituents were top quality, and cooked perfectly. Excellent service too. If you want a great breakfast, I highly recommend it.

Despite being a little tricky to find, this establishment is a cut above the rest in town. The range of breakfast choices is vast. We opted for breakfast baps, which contained high quality back bacon and sausage.

Second day of starting the day having breakfast at Breaktimes. Fabulous friendly, attentive staff. Top grade, reasonably priced breakfasts. Highly recommend.

This place is a gem. On the same estate opposite aldi and lidl, and travelodge which is where we were staying, not what you would expect, gorgeous food and staff and spotless.

This was a very nice place to eat. The service was really great and the food was very delicious. Would recommend if you're in and around porthmadog. Would definitely go again.

Family run breakfast and brunch eaterie. Excellent food which was well cooked, presented and good value. Money has been well invested, eg state of the art ovens and staff training. Do NOT be put off by this being on the edge of a small industrial unit, it is far removed from the greasy spoon image. The menu is varied, from traditional breakfast to eggs benedict, yoghurt and fruit parfaits, etc. Well worth a visit as very welcoming and nothing too much trouble. Accessible for the disabled. My one tiny niggle is that the accessible toilet was accessed by a keypad, which necessitated me having to ask for the door to be unlocked every time, instead of me using an accessible key. Slight loss of dignity. Having said that, the toilets were were exceptionally clean.

If I could give this place more stars I would. This was the best Nutella and Strawberry pancakes I’ve ever had. Not only was there more pancakes than I expected there to be, they weren’t shy on their Nutella spread and strawberries. The strawberry jam was to die for too. Not only was the food delicious, the service was spectacular. Every person I spoke to was so incredibly nice. They also brought out the food so quickly, which is amazing since my group ordered bigger meals. I was so close to licking my plate clean, it was that good.

The best breakfast in the UK we have tried so far, and we’ve been here for 3 weeks. I think it will be very hard to beat for the remaining of our travels! Absolutely delicious food and drink. Super friendly and kind staff here too, it felt local and authentically Welsh. We really appreciate your hospitality!

I called in earlier today and as we had the dog with us, wanted to see if we could have a take away. Ordered a nap to take away and staff were very kind to offer some pancakes with Nutella for my daughter. They were bought out to the car which was fantastic and kind. Bap and pancakes didn’t last long and so tasty. We will be returning and thank you for looking after us.

If you are visiting Porthmadog you must go to this family run establishment for breakfast &/or lunch. When you enter you will find a moving tribute to Anna - a co-founder - then receive a warm welcome from one of the excellent staff. Your meal will be freshly cooked & delicious; the bill reasonable & a small tip gratefully received but not expected. As for the Westwood family they are so friendly & are now joined by the start of the third generation as baby Holly was born to Connor & Kirsty on 25 August. Congratulations to that lovely couple.

A fabulous facility, well hidden, but very busy with those who find it. Word of mouth brought us here, and we were very impressed by the high standards of service, menu and professional presentation. Looking forward to my next visit. Well done, keep it up!👍

Had the all day breakfast and couldnt finish it as so much..great place, friendly staff and value for money

It’s ok; definitely not a 4.8-star, like Google said at the time of visit. Food is nice enough, but nothing outstanding (the cream and guacamole of the chilli con carne felt as artificial as it gets). The manager was super nice but the rest of the staff lagged far behind. Ambience is generally clean (although there’s water all over the place in the toilet) but it’s not as cozy as other places.

Service was excellent . Restaurant was busy but very clean and tidy with an open kitchen so you can watch your food being prepared. Staff were friendly and polite . With a smile as well which is rare these days. Food was very good especially the sausage . Overall a great breakfast and experience . Definitely recommend

Came to Breaktimes for breakfast with the family and was very pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem! The food was delicious with high quality ingredients and for a very reasonable price. The menu has a great variety of food done well. The sevice was beyond impressive we were greeted at the door by a lovely gentleman and everyone was very friendly.

We're on holiday in the area, and wanted to find somewhere local for lunch. This place came recommended and it didn't disappoint. The food was tasty and the portion size was good. It was decorated in a relaxing and welcoming style, the tables were nice and spaced out so you weren't cramped, and the staff were super friendly. If we come on holiday here again, we'll definitely come back here 😊

We used this lovely café for the 2 days we were in the area as we were so impressed. The food was lovely, service very good and the place was spotless.

Called in for breakfast, decided on the 5" gourmet bap with bacon and sausage. Asked for the bacon crispy and that's exactly what I got 😀. The filling was plenty and hot, just what I needed for the start of the day. Staff were attentive and friendly. The whole place looks immaculate with tasteful decor. Will definitely call in again when passing.

Visited here for breakfast with my boyfriend and his parents as our hotel didn’t offer a real breakfast. I won’t lie I didn’t have high hopes due to the location being quite industrial, however, I was VERY surprised and impressed with this place. Firstly there was someone to greet you at the door and seat you. The inside was very very nice, visually appealing and more importantly CLEAN. All 4 of us got “the best” (a traditional breakfast) the food was fast even though it was busy! The food was very nice, the sausages were big and you get a lot of food for the money. I will say I wish there were mushrooms with the breakfast but I can’t complain about that. Staff were amazing, they make sure everything is okay. Overall I would 100% recommend this place if you’re ever in the area.

Greeted at the door of the cafe, and shown to the table. Clean and airy inside, with lots of seating. Great food, well presented, reasonably priced, and friendly staff. The cafe is used a lot by the locals. A bit out of the way from the town centre, but worth the walk/drive.

Fabulous food! Fabulous welcoming staff! Well priced, good hot food with so much choice, whatever I would have decided on, would have been the wrong choice! I chose a 'popular' choice breakfast, which was amazing, but then saw the Egg Benedicts and wanted them alongside a Greek Yoghurt Parfait! Deliciousness whatever you choose.

We ordered a large quantity of items and the quality of each one was amazing. Connor couldn’t help out enough and really appreciated our custom. The whole team were a joy to deal with and made the experience great.

Nice breakfast. The previous menu looked better to be honest. I was disappointed to see that the menu has changed to this new one as I had seen pictures of the previous menu on Google maps reviews and they looked much more flexible with the options. The food was OK and place was very clean. Cutlery needs an upgrade as the knife was not cutting well.

The menu I saw at the restaurant was updated so the prices were higher than expected. We ordered the egg florentine and the Nutella pancakes, which tasted just fine. Staff were kind and helpful, and the atmosphere was great.

We ordered 50 breakfast baps for a post wedding breakfast last week and they were so good!! Connor who organised the pre order for us was so so nice and helpful. Everything was on time, hot and so tasty. Our hungover wedding guests were very pleased 😂 we tried elsewhere before finding Breaktimes but either got rude responses or quoted loads more. Delighted that we found these guys and will definitely be back. Thanks Connor!

Fantastic cafe. Highly recommend. We turned up with 5 adults and 3 children and the menu and staff couldnt do enough to assist and seat us. Food was 2nd to none with one of the best all day breakfasts we have had in wales! Great prices and excellent service. Would happily return in the future.

Came to stay in Porthmadog for the week and found this gem. Genuinely one of the best breakfasts i've had. Service was excellent, lovely friendly staff and delicious food. 100% recommend if you're anywhere near here.

Very impressed with this café. Do not be put off because of its location just off the main streets on a commercial estate, as it is easily located by car and there is free and convenient parking right outside. There is plenty of seating inside with a choice of tables for 2, 4 and 6. Very spacious inside, and it is clean and light. The welcome and service was very good. There is a varied menu which caters for most tastes, whether for breakfast or lunch. A range of teas, coffees and soft drinks are available, alongside alcoholic beverages too. Definitely recommend, and would visit again in the future.
