Celtic Cabin in Gwynedd

This is such a great spot to grab a quick coffee whilst walking along the prom and soaking up the view. I managed to resist the cakes but they look awesome!

O-M-G!!! Absolutely amazing! Not only is the food amazing (I will come back to that) but the owners are very friendly, polite and professional. The weather was not great so they told us to go and sit in the car and they would drop it over to us, which they did! 🤗 Back to the food... great quality, fresh and tasty ingredients pulled together to make amazing dishes. We had the pulled BBQ pork wrap and the sweet potato falafel wrap, and tried a bit of both! Both were so tasty! I can't actually decide which I liked the best! My partner is not a fan of 'slaw but ate the lot, saying he liked it very much! 😁 So after being very full from our large lunches we decided it was only right to go and get some cake for an afternoon snack 🤣 We had the orange & lemon muffin and the dark chocolate brownie. Both were very tasty, fresh, light and moist inside! Yummy!!! The only complaint I have is on us, that we only went there on our last full day here so now won't have time to go back.... anxiously awaiting our next visit to the area, and this will be the first place we go to! You must try it and soon! 💜🤗💜 Ps - I forgot to take some photos because I was too busy eating!! 🤣🤣🤣

Absolutely delicious hot mackerel wraps adapted for gf with no wrap followed by a luscious brownie with berry compote and a scoop of ice cream. Beautiful views over Barmouth beach. Who could ask for more??

Lovely atmosphere, nice music to listen to and seating available. Great food, drink and ice cream. Nice and quiet too.

The day that we went the couple did not have their meal van, so were serving drinks, cakes and ice cream, there was a good choice. Everything was super, the van was spotless, and the couple providing the food and serving us were delightful. We had a lovely half-hour sitting at their tables enjoying the sun, seaside and passing holidaymakers.

Unfortunately there's no falafel anymore only sweet food...

Shame the staff couldn't get off the phone to serve me.

The mobile 'canteen'😉 came to our caravan site today in Tywyn. I'm glad it isn't everyday as its the best food we've tasted in a long time. Mackarel was delectable,salad was amazing and the flavours all together were simply the best. Watch this couple,they can produce excellent food in real time cooked for you as you order. Knocked out by this.

Fantastic, fresh and unusual food served with care and tasty extras . Didn’t miss the opportunity to taste. The walnut and banana bread was the best I have ever tasted . Later sampled the mackerel taco - Superb.

Stopped here after cycling the Mawddach Trail. Delicious coffee and cakes. Chocolate brownie, sticky ginger cake and toasted banana cake were all the very best.

Stopped for dessert on a hike - the ginger cake and ice cream is top tier. Can’t to try savoury next time

first visit here always wanted to try it and so glad u did! really friendly and the cake is delicious, all the better for being homemade, great offer to. And a great view to go with it, definitely somewhere you have try if your in Barmouth

I called in at the Celtic Cabin today and left with a delicious selection of traditional homemade cakes, Lemon sponge, stem ginger, chocolate brownie and courgette and lime. They were all absolutely mouthwatering, so tasty, moist and full of flavour, they made a lovely addition to our afternoon tea! Many thanks 🙏

We just love this place. Fantastic food in a great location made by lovely people who care about what the do. As for the view! It’s a gem.

I have been reading reviews of Celtic Cabin over the years and been so excited to visit. On my most recent trip to Barmouth, I was able to go twice and it was well worth the wait!! The lunch menu and the puddings/cakes are really some of the best I've had in ages. It is a beautiful location and really fantastic fresh produce and flavour combinations. It is a really great set up and I wish them every success as it is very well deserved. I can't wait to visit again :)

This might be a little cabin on the sea front, but the food they serve is absolutely amazing, it is full of flavour and so colourful. Well worth a visit. The couple that work there are so friendly.

I cannot rate the food and service here highly enough! I had missed them whilst on holiday the year before, but I finally got there this year, and how glad I am! I had the pan seared mackerel with prawn, chili and lime fritters and I just can't believe how TASTY the entire meal was. Toasted banana & walnut loaf for dessert finished it off nicely. I will definitely be visiting again 👍

Called here on Thursday, we both had quesadilla it came with a lovely fresh salad and chili sauce. Just wished we lived closer to call again.

Beautiful, fresh and tasty food by the seaside. We had the slow cooked pulled pork and the sweet potato falafel tortillas. We highly recommend.

Stopped for lunch. We had a sweet potato tortilla and a BBQ pork tortilla. Both very good. Also had a cappuccino which was nice. Sat on the benches provided which was very pleasant. The staff are very friendly.

What an great little place. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked beautiful and our tortillas and quesadillas were lovely. Good coffee too.

Right on the front with seating, ordered food didn't wait long and it was delicious highly recommend.

THE BEST food I’ve had in north Wales. The Pork Tinga was fall-apart, melt in your mouth amazing. The mackerel was fresh and so well prepared. So much flavour! Service with a smile and tables for people watching. What more could you want?

I ate here on Thursday ( it's closed Mon - Weds ) before leaving Barmouth after a 3 night stay. My pulled pork & cheddar quesadilla was delicious, as was the side salad. In future, I'll be organising any trip to Barmouth around the opening hours/days of this brilliant establishment and I'm looking forward to trying more of the menu.

A real gem of a place. We all enjoyed our choices which were freshly prepared and beautifully presented. Highly recommended.

We were lucky enough to stay a 1 minute walk from this gem of a place! Located away from the main beach, this unassuming cabin is in the perfect location for serving really tasty, restaurant quality food. We sampled the BBQ pork, sweet potato falafels and a couple of the quesadilla's - all so good. Do try the sweet options too - the toasted banana cake with brittle and ice-cream will be held as an example of a perfect pud for a long time to come! Vegan/veggie options available too.

My wife looked at the reviews for the Celtic Cabin and we decided to pay a visit. We both had the BBQ Pork Tortilla. I can honestly say it was the freshest, tastiest take out meal I have ever had. All made with fresh ingredients, presented lovely, a real treat. Definitely recommended.

Well worth the extra walk up the front. The menu is limited but interesting. The food is fantastic and worth the price. Friendly and efficient service. The oily seating is outdoors - but when the sun shines on the front it is great. Recommended

One of the best reasons to visit Bermo. Bakes and wraps are amazing and packed full of flavours. Forget your chips and doughnuts, Celtic Cabin is your go-to place.

The Tripadvisor top rating was absolutely on the nail. The food was fantastic, and served up quickly. We had a mix of wraps and quesadillas, and each one was a picture.

We visited on two days, one for coffee and cake and the next for an amazingly good lunch of pulled pork tortilla salad. The weather was great so there was no problem eating at the outside tables.

Delicious healthy food would highly recommend. I had the sweet potato falafel with salad feta cheese olives and hummus will definitely go there again on my next visit to Barmouth.

After a few days of hearty Welsh meals, I was craving something a little fresher and lighter, so I found Celtic Cabin on TA. Hard to find by car as it is right on the promenade (probably easier just to walk 5 mins north past...

I’m sure that the coffee used to be barista style rather than push button machine generic? A little lack lustre and at £5.80 for 2 small lattes, somewhat disappointing I’m sorry to say. The food is usually great, unusual, different and well priced so hopefully the push button coffee idea is short term? Or am I remembering wrongly…..either way, wouldn’t do the coffee there in a hurry 🙁

Lovely food, freshly cooked, well presented and delicious.

We had both tea/coffee and cake and lunch from here on separate days. Both excellent. Nice to have something a little bit different on the seafront and it's a little away from the hustle and bustle too. And if all the tables are taken and you want to sit down there's a very convenient sea wall to sit on.

We had tostadas, mine pulled pork and Cheddar and my wife's pulled pork with tomatoes, bothwere very tasty and served with a delicious salad. My espresso was really good as well.

Friendly service, great coffee and homemade cakes and flapjacks. This has a wonderful location, being towards the outskirts of the immediate tourist seafront, but not too far to walk. It has great views and I would definitely recommend

The Celtic cabin was such a good find through trip advisor. We were walking along the beach and spotted the cabin up on the walkway. The main meal, the pudding and the coffee were exemplary . Cant recomend it enough.

The owners are really friendly and try hard to serve you in good time. It's only a small cabin with outside seating but it gas a lovely feel. The food is nicely presented, the prices aren't ridiculous either. A good idea with a different selection of food when you don't want chips or burgers. We highly recommend it.

Visited with my husband and as he was going for the pulled pork, I decided to go for the fish. Mine was just so delicious! The little fish cakes on top were scrummy and I loved all the different salads and accompaniments that kept adding...

Best chocolate brownies by far- and we have tried soooooo many. We found this place a couple of years ago and were very pleased to find it again and the brownies are as good as ever. Well worth a visit, lovely food, lovely staff, come and eat here, you won't be disappointed 🙂

The owners shop, prep from fresh, cook and serve all the food themselves and their hard work shows. The food is fresh, extremely tasty and healthy. Their fish is locally caught and changes according to what’s been caught. Everything is thoughtfully served in recyclable containers....
