Bistro Bermo

Abermaw, Gwynedd, 20-30£
14/03/2019: We were staying just outside Barmouth for my in-laws 60th wedding anniversary and we booked Bistro Bermo for the celebration meal. There was 12 of us and they did us proud. The food was lovely and the atmosphere was great. I would definitely recommend.
01/03/2019: Call in mid Feb for evening meal, menu has different twists on foods you find around, Very tasty, lovingly, prepared and presented meals in a lovely friendly, cosy atmosphere. Only small, 6 tables, which gives the intimate feel. Thoroughly recommended.

Coastal Cafe

Moelfre, Isle of Anglesey
10/03/2019: After a long train journey, what better than a glorious piece of Haddock cooked in a very lovely light batter. My friend and I were really impressed with the fish and chips here. The place is warm and inviting with lovely owners and staff. Thoroughly enjoyed a late lunch here with a good cup of tea.
09/03/2019: Great food and service, definitely coming back!!!! Best fish and chips we've ever had. Very good price.

Breaktimes Cafe

Porthmadog West, Gwynedd
12/03/2019: Nothing more then fantastic, nicely set out with space around you (I hate cramped spaces) breakfast was served nice and fast. Tea and coffee was also top dollar. (Even if I did brake the tea bag) lovely staff and I think manager. All polite will definitely be back here soon thank for you for the lovely breakfast. On our way home :-)
11/03/2019: Breaktimes offers a big choice of quality breakfasts, open from 8am to 2pm. Tea / coffee refills included in the meal price. Sharon Westwood's team served me a super black pudding slice, and offered alternative items for part of the breakfast that I did not want. Vege and allergy-free items were advertised.

Dolgellau North, Gwynedd
14/03/2019: Stopped here on the way back from a very wet and windy walk up Cadair Idris on the recommendation of our B&B.; The building is really interesting and the cake is amazing. Also good tea and coffee. Will visit again if we’re in the area.
13/03/2019: Visited on a wet and windy day. Not much evidence of heating which was a shame. We would have enjoyed our food, that was delicious, much more if we had warmed up whilst we were there.

The Rabbit Hole

Mostyn, Conwy, <20£
11/03/2019: You'd have to be a Mad Hatter to miss this place. The cafe is a social enterprise set up be Aberconwy Mind, a charity helping people experiencing mental health issues, and is run by Rav, the chef with the help of volunteers. You can see the passion Rav has for freshly prepared food. I have eaten here quite a few times now and can't fault it at all. Plenty of options on the menu, vegatarian and vegan! I had one of the vegan options last time I ate there and it was delicious. There is a daily specials board too, which again has very good options.
09/03/2019: Dropped in for a hearty veggie breakfast. Beautifully curated but not overpoweringly themed cafe in a bright spot. Well priced. Accommodated a request for a takeaway with no fuss. Left full, content and happy. Happy to heartily recommend.

Llandrillo yn Rhos, Conwy, <20£
19/03/2019: Would highly recommend Marmalade. Lovely food, good service in a beautiful place. Excellent varied menu and not over priced.
17/03/2019: This was a great choice, we didn't book for lunch but they managed to fit us in. Normally lunchtime can be a struggle with a 20 month year old, but I was happy to see that they had a few toys, which kept him occupied whilst we could eat (a pleasant surprise). The service was great and fast, also to make things even more enjoyable the food was awesome. We finished our meal with some home made macaroons which were delicious.

Tafarn y Gader Tapas, Bistro & Bar

Dolgellau North, Gwynedd
13/03/2019: Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. Have been several times. Service is always great, never feels rushed or hurried. Can never do enough for us. Have often made special desserts for us for special occaisions. Food is always top class. I have been with many groups of people and the only complaint is that there’s too many nice dishes to choose from. There is something on the menu to suit every taste.
10/03/2019: This restaurant gets better and better. No surprise that they have been receiving awards for years. We had a few large tapas dishes with patatas Ali oli followed by vegetarian paella, and a couple of bottles of great house wine. Food was perfectly cooked and flavoursome without exception. Service was excellent with friendly staff who were there if needed but not intrusive. Easily the best eating experience in Gwynedd.

Tremfan Hall

Llanbedrog, Gwynedd
17/03/2019: We booked a late Sunday lunch at Tremfan after recommendations and were not disappointed. You arrive to a cosy bar area with a real roaring fire for a ore dinner drink. Then on to the beautiful dining room with views over the bay and snow covered mountains behind. We set off with a range of starters - the chicken live pate was obviously home made and delicious. The menu had loads of choice and most of plumped for the traditional Sunday lunch of beef, Yorkshire’s (huge and very tasty ) and a beautiful selection of fresh al dente vegetables- so hard to do for so many covers. One of the party had the hake - a very picky American who declared it the best hake he’d ever had. The beef was stunning - perfectly done and so tender and juicy.
15/03/2019: We booked to go for my birthday meal - March 7th. When we arrived at the restaurant, it was beautifully lit with candles, the fire was roaring and we were welcomed by the Manager Sandra, at the Bar. However there was no one else there. We asked if we were the only ones there...and she said yes - we open for one booking as we often have last minute bookings however today it is just you. What an amazing experience! We had the most amazing meal, we took our time, each course was absolutely delicious. And of course we had the best service ever - thank you Sandra! The background music was just perfect - and created a chilled atmosphere. We certainly didn't feel like we were the only ones there but had the best Millionaire Dining experience. It was great to meet the Chef too who had produced our fine dining. It has been a few years since we have been there - but we will definitely add it to our list when we are back. Its a must do when in Abersoch! And in the summer /lighter months - a great view. I can't recommend this place enough - book ahead as we have often not been able to get a reservation in the busier months.

Fouzi's Cafe Bar Pizzeria

Llangollen, Denbighshire
24/02/2019: We stayed in Llangollen for 2 nights for my partner's birthday and on both nights we came here to eat. The food is delicious and so fresh. Staff are friendly and attentive, and the service is quick. Small little restaurant so make sure you book over the weekend. A must go to place if your in the area.
20/02/2019: Lovely place to take the family, seafood risotto was delicious, kids food was great quality , lovely friendly staff, we’ll definitely be back.

No. 46 Coffee Shop

Criccieth, Gwynedd
09/03/2019: A cold, wet day in Criccieth. Hungry, tired! 46 Cafe, the order solution. Friendly cafe wth comfortable seating, good view of the castle, warm and welcoming. We both had jacket potatoes, which were perfectly cooked, fluffy, flavoursome and deliciously filled with Welsh cheddar, me, and homemade coronation chicken, him. The homemade coleslaw with a hint of crunchy apple was the perfect accompaniment. As a gluten free vegetarian I eat a lot of jacket potatoes and this was one of the best! Fabulous choice of teas too. While we were finishing our drinks the owner cane and told me about their range of gluten free cakes. So rarely are they offered, I hadn't thought to ask. He brought me a heavenly orange and almond cake with chunks of real orange in it. Way above your normal polenta style cake. This was light, fluffy and delicious. Hubby has the enormous scone, just as lovely! Such a friendly welcome. Highly recommended.
04/03/2019: Me and my lady friends go here for our lunch quite often as the food is delicious, the service is great and the owner are so kind and lovely. The food is always top notch and their homemade coleslaw is yummy. Can’t wait to pop in again soon!

The White Horse

Llandyrnog, Denbighshire, <20£
01/03/2019: We chose the White Horse on the back of the reviews on trip advisor- and it is truly deserving of the fabulous reviews on here. From the warm welcome, through to the delicious food, we had a lovely evening.
02/02/2019: I’ve had a few meals at some top places BUT this has by far been the best experience I’ve had with some amazing gorgeous food love in a long time!!

Castle Inn

Criccieth, Gwynedd
19/03/2019: Had a lovely meal here. Wonderful service from all the staff and both mine and my friends meal was exceptional. Highly recommend eating here for the 8 weeks left before owners move on.
07/03/2019: This lovely little pub is hidden away down a side road next to Criccieth train station. It's decorated traditionally and is really cost, as well as being dog friendly. The staff here are so friendly and welcoming, you feel as though you're popping round to dinner with an old friend. The food is incredible - I can highly recommend the beer battered haddock and my fiancé sang the praises of the seafood pie - he is a chef so notoriously hard to please but he says it's the best fish pie he's ever eaten. We managed to share a Ferrero Rocher cheesecake which was absolutely divine, before stumbling home. Be warned, the portions are ENORMOUS - worthy of a Man Vs Food challenge, so make sure you're hungry when you arrive!

The Ship Inn

Morfa Nefyn, Gwynedd
28/02/2019: Been going to the The Ship for years. Never had a bad meal. Always plenty of choice and the Specials are ‘Special’! First place we head to when ever we’re down in Nefyn or Morfa Nefyn. Staff are friendly as is ‘The Boss’. In the evening we find it nice that kids under 10 don’t go in. After a long day with grandkids etc. Nice to be child free!
27/02/2019: We went here based on Tripadvisor reviews as our first meal out for honeymoon in North Wales. It far exceeding our expectations. The quality of the food was fantastic, thorough menu choices and a relaxing atmosphere. We loved it so much we went back the next night. Recommend going early- we went 5.15 -5.30pm both nights to get the best seats as it packs up later on in the evening.

W. T. Roberts Bakery

Beaumaris, Isle of Anglesey
19/03/2019: Great friendly atmosphere and always full of smiley faces, plenty of selection for all tastes. Wonderful cakes and breads. Great local produce at a fantastic price.
03/03/2019: What a great find right in centre of Beautiful Beaumaris, just up a side street.

Castell Deudraeth Brasserie

Penrhyndeudraeth, Gwynedd, >100£
25/02/2019: We had lunch. We were served exceptionally well by the staff. The venue is impressive and inspiring. The food was attractive and delicious. We had a wonderful visit.
24/02/2019: Had a meal with friends to celebrate a special birthday. I had the three course set meal as well as some of the other people in my party. I had chicken strips starter not very nice!! Thick batter which was also very greasy!! Unfortunately I expected them to be breaded chicken as I also ordered cod as my main meal which again had thick greasy batter!! Much too much,, batter. However, the fish was lovely. But I must say although we had a lovely afternoon, I did expect something more of quality!! At Castell Deudraeth!! Won’t be rushing back!
