01/06/2019: Enjoyed a lovely sunday lunch. Pate/poached egg bruschetta starters. Mains salmon / steak and chips / chicken in creamy bacon sauce mains. The veg was fresh varied and plentiful. Too full for pudding. Small bistro but not cramped at all. Really friendly staff. A real treat thank you

The Rabbit Hole

Mostyn, Conwy, <20£
04/06/2019: The atmosphere of this cafe is lovely, and the staff are very friendly. As well as this, I very much enjoyed my vegan welsh rarebit. That said, nearly £7 for one slice of toast and a handful of salad leaves is way over what I'd expect for a 'main meal' of that size. It was barely a snack. I think it would be worth visiting for tea and cake, as they have a modest selection of loose leaf tea, but definitely wouldn't reccomend for a meal.
26/05/2019: For almost £10 for breakfast including coffee, I would expect to have the food freshly cooked. Our order of two full breakfasts took less than 10 minutes to arrive. That is about the time it would take to poach the eggs and make the toast, which were the only things on the plate, or should I say toast because the plate was lined with the toast, that were cooked fresh. The bacon was like cardboard the locally sourced sausages were cooked to death and the portabello mushroom black and slimy. Also whoever had a poached egg plonked on top of a pot of baked beans!! Not good food, not good presentation and I won't be back.

03/06/2019: Well all I can say is FAN BLOODY TASTIC!!! Castle Inn

Criccieth, Gwynedd
30/05/2019: From up in the castle there is great views of the sea and the surrounding buildings along the beach, with great ice creams and fish and chips down the road
09/05/2019: Fabulous food. Brilliant staff. Amazing flavours. The chick pea curry was superb but in all honesty the Cauliflower wings were to die for. I cannot rate this place highly enough. Look out the new place it will be stellar. Good luck with your new venture

No. 46 Coffee Shop

Criccieth, Gwynedd
29/05/2019: Our start of the week was in the place, the quality of food and tea selection, not just coffee is great. The warm Cheese scone just wonderful, Pagan Pie awesome. Like many of the places in Criccieth local produce and homemade. Gets busy, if you go later in afternoon selection of cakes are less. Open 0830 to 1730
22/05/2019: Met a friends who lives in Criccieth we hadn't seen for years, and spent a couple of leisurely hours catching up at No. 46. enjoying delicious food.

Breaktimes Cafe

Porthmadog West, Gwynedd
02/06/2019: We enjoyed having breakfast at this small cafe near the Travelodge. Eggs were cooked perfectly and coffee was excellent. Prices were very reasonable.
02/06/2019: We walked across from the Travelodge (2 minutes) and were very pleasantly surprised. There was a sign up stating that 2 items from the meal could be changed-no problem. This was a lovely touch. The food was cooked to order so was piping hot and very tasty. The cafe was very clean and very busy. The meals were a good size and we really enjoyed them. The gentleman who took our order also came round during the meal to ask if we wanted our tea and coffee topping up, as these were free this was a lovely touch.

Tremfan Hall

Llanbedrog, Gwynedd
02/06/2019: We booked in advance and picked up a 2:30 slot, enquired about Veggie option and was told no problem as there was a seperate A La Carte menu there only to be recieved to be told three times there was only one veggie option on the set menu which my wife didn't want.
31/05/2019: We booked a table last minute, and the staff were more than accommodating. We have eaten here before and the quality never waivers. There is a lot of choice on the menu and we decided on lamp rump and fillet steak - both amazing and the meat cooked perfectly. 10/10 - lovely, welcoming staff and great food. Just make sure you leave room for dessert!

Salt Marsh Kitchen

Tywyn, Gwynedd
03/06/2019: Wife and i are holidaying up the road and found this place through an internet search. Small, it seats maybe 30 people max. Nice and clean and tastefully decorated. We hadn’t reserved but were found a table for two. As usual, we clock what others are eating. It all looked good. I opted for the mussels in white wine & cream sauce with bread and chunky chips. They were the best mussels i have ever had. That includes up & down the French Atlantic coast. Large and succulent. Turns out they were Shetland mussels as Welsh ones aren’t in season for another month. The sauce was delicious and it was all i could do to eat the main. No room for dessert. My wife had battered cod with chips and mushy peas. Again the fish was lovely. Perfectly cooked. The batter light and tasty.
02/06/2019: Delicious food found here although if the restaurant is full it can be a bit noisy! Make sure you book as the place is so popular! Scott is the perfect host and the fish curry is the most yummy thing I have had in a long time!!
