Fforest Pizza Tipi

Aberteifi/Cardigan-Teifi, Ceredigion, <20£
15/04/2019: Fresh, delicious pizza with a good pint of local ale. We sat around the fire in the tipi and had our pizza and chatted while watching the fire burn. Great atmosphere and cozy Cwtch on a cold Sunday afternoon.
14/04/2019: We had pizza by the fire as it was still quite cold this April. Love the concept, relaxed and friendly. Good selection of drinks and pizzas are absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.

Bosun's Locker

New Quay, Ceredigion
15/01/2019: Situated in New Quay, small but welcoming place. Lovely menu for home style food. Good price and value
09/01/2019: Celebrated New Years Day with a lovely meal on the last day of Jayne and Brian’s tenure of the Bosun’s Locker.

Aberystwyth Canol/Central, Ceredigion
06/04/2019: The food was really excellent quality for a greasy spoon and with some excellent service. Would recommend their Monster breakfast, great value for money
24/03/2019: Very busy at 10, we waited 10 minutes but it was worth it. I couldn't finish my monster breakfast but hubby did! Recommended x

Pen y Cae Inn

Tawe-Uchaf, Powys, <20£
17/04/2019: My sister and mother and I went to the Pen Y Cae Inn for lunch earlier this week. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, in lovely grounds.
17/04/2019: Nice food, lovely pub, lovely serving staff but too long waiting for food sat down at 7 didn’t have main meal until nearly half 8.

Cosy Corner Restaurant

Builth, Powys, <20£
30/03/2019: A friendly couple who took time out to engage with my young grandson,a warm informal atmosphere, custard was like ambrosia of the gods, cottage pie with meat so tender and tasty,my fish was light and crispy, chips were almost designer chips and even the salad forged from Gods good earth was divine,as us Geordie's say it was a canny dinna.
17/03/2019: The food is vegetarian friendly and extremely delicious! There are vegan options too. We've had lunch and dinner here both times service was wonderful, Hard working owners who really value your custom! Only warning is if you opt for the alcoholic milkshake, make sure you like booze! Can't wait to go back, so lucky to have you in the neighbourhood.

The Nags Head Inn

Berriew, Powys, 30-45£
19/04/2019: Booked a week in advance for 8pm, got taken to our table at 8.20 and was put in a tiny corner on a small round table which looked like it had just been squeezed in between two larger tables, couldn’t move, my husbands steak was so tough and chewy I ended up cutting mine in half to give him , nobody asked if food was ok as they usually do. Looked to the bar to see a member of staff pulling the seal off a carton of milk with his teeth , wasn’t a cheap night , bill was just under £60 , very disappointed and will not be returning
19/04/2019: Great food. Decor lovely. Service great. Good recommendations. Can not rate high enough. Staff were very helpful and accommodating.

Red Lion Inn

Old Radnor, Powys, 20-30£
10/04/2019: We stayed here, bed and breakfast. The room was comfortable, freshly decorated with new shower room. Breakfast was very good. Staff friendly.
29/03/2019: Friendly place, great food, will visit again next time I'm passing

The Old Barn Tea Room

Talybont-on-Usk, Powys
16/04/2019: Lovely cafe. Attentive staff & delicious sandwiches & soup. The cakes look tasty, but we didn’t have them as we only had lunch. Popular with walkers. Be aware that when we write this, it was cash only as there is no WiFi.
16/04/2019: Visited the Brecon this weekend supporting the Mountain Marathon and was desperate for a drink. Stumbled across this little gem of a tea room. Problem was we didn’t have cash and only had card to pay with. When we asked if they took card they said they didn’t but we could take their bank details and pay with mobile banking when we got a signal. Wow. What an amazing service to offer.

Creme Pen Cei

New Quay, Ceredigion, <20£
11/04/2019: Just had a pulled pork baguette with the best coleslaw ever thanks to the mayo! Definetly recommend!!!
31/03/2019: Visited while we were wandering around New Quay. Service was excellent, the choice and quality of gelato was great. We also had an allergy sufferer with us and very good advice of what we could and could not eat was provided.

Latte-da Tearoom

Crickhowell,Llangattock, Powys, <20£
14/04/2019: Fast and friendly service despite being already busy; thank you. Visited for Brunch. Good choice of food, well presented and very flavoursome. Highly recommended. Will re-visit.
13/04/2019: Excellent food with friendly service. The poached eggs were perfect and also nice cake to finish. They also served soup, sandwiches and icecream.

Bara Menyn Bakehouse & Cafe

Aberteifi/Cardigan-Teifi, Ceredigion
14/04/2019: Local produce, great food, great staff and good value. Would definitely recommend people to try it out,
19/03/2019: We had picked up some fabulous sourdough from here and read on here that there was an “annex” for dog owners. We didn’t venture out to the garden as it was too cold - the annex was a very small area between the cafe and the garden - felt like we were in the naughty cupboard - not a nice place to sit and enjoy the coffee/muffin we’d already purchased.

Rich Way Cafe

St. Mary, Powys
10/02/2019: Popped in for a quick lunch today. Lovely food cooked to order, good portions, good value, well cooked and piping hot. Very friendly lady, we'll be back.
03/02/2019: Went in for breakfast and a lady came in with her dog. The girl serving went over to the dog and started stroking it and then never washed her hands. When we finally got our food, I found a dog hair on the plate. Absolutely disgusting. And she spent most of the time before starting to cook our food talking to the other customers

The Glengower Hotel

Aberystwyth Gogledd/North, Ceredigion
18/04/2019: I had to eat at 16.30 for a later appointment elsewhere and what a find. Great beer, absolutely stunning food outstanding atmosphere I cannot sing this establishments praises highly enough shall definitely be going back there and as it stands at the time of writing anything from the specials board some money is donated to to the R.N.L.I. Win win all round. SUPERB
18/04/2019: Stayed at The Glengower a few years ago and loved it.

Banwy Bakery

Llanfair Caereinion, Powys
31/03/2019: Came here with my wife for breakfast. Clean and well presented cafe, tasty fresh food cooked to order and, as you would hope in a bakery, great toast. Good value and a simple pleasure / treat.
28/03/2019: We called here yesterday for breakfast, on our way to the coast for a day out. Our husbands had the full English and we had a bacon bap and bacon and egg sandwich. Everyone commented on how lovely the bacon was, all the food was cooked and presented beautifully with generous portions, all served with a smile. Apart from an ice cream in Barmouth, we didn't need to eat again until we got home. The building itself is very quaint, many original features have been retained so that we felt we were sitting in someones house which made for a very friendly feeling. The toilet was spotlesly clean too. Altogether it was a great start to our day out, we thoroughly enjoyed the Banwy Bakery experience and have already decided that this will be a future stop off on the way to the seaside. Thank you to all.

Town Hall Cafe Deli

Lampeter, Ceredigion
23/03/2019: A beautifully decorated establishment, with a variety of high-quality, local ingredients. The staff are always friendly, and whilst the prices may be slightly higher than some of the other local cafes, it is worth it for the quality of food you receive. I frequent here every few months, and the food is always of the same high standard.
14/11/2018: I am quite a frequent visitor to this cafe. Its light and airy with a pleasant atmosphere. The food is good quality and the standards are high. The prices are reasonable and there is a nice range of choices from filled baguettes to meat platters. There are always quirky little things to tempt you on the shelves either for yourself or for great gifts. The staff are efficient and professional as well as being friendly.
