Heritage Coffee Shop in Isle of Anglesey

I love Sam and Charles. It’s worth turning up just to spend time with them. All said the coffee and any food I have chosen has been utterly delicious. Turned up last week and shared a table with someone who had a spare chair as the cafe was busy. Laughed till I cried with a new friend. I can’t not stop if I am driving past as laughter and great food guaranteed. Always. I view Sam and Charles as my good friends now but then I think everyone that goes feels the same way.

Absolutely amazing food and service. Polite, friendly and inviting. So much so that we ended up sharing conversations with the whole cafe. Great food too. A day brightening experience. Thank you.

Been to this coffee shop multiple times. The owners are really friendly chatty people! The coffee is lovely and the food is delicious 👌 soft fresh bread and thick bacon for the sandwiches and the cake is good too! You can sit inside or outside and both areas are clean and pleasant to sit at Especially outside on a nice day. I went in one time with my baby in his pram on a particularly sunny day and while I was waiting for my order I was offered some water ❤️ (I hadn’t said anything to initiate this offer) I thought it was a lovely gesture and much appreciated. Highly recommend if you’re in the area especially while out on a walk ☀️

Enjoyed several lunches here during our stay close to Brynsiencyn. The staff/hosts are lovely people who provide a lovely and friendly service and atmosphere. The food is excellent and the menu is amended regularly, so new items become available to savour. All the food is absolutely wonderful with unique recipes provided for your pallet, so you have to try them! The cafe/coffee shop is small but this all adds to the ambience and atmosphere, and there is additional seating outside which is great for looking over to Snowdonia. We love it! What a great find, had a great lunch here. The food, coffee and atmosphere was so good. Really lovely mother and son serving, couldnt have done more for us. Amazing views over the mountains, a lovley outdoor seating area to compliment the indoor seating. A real find, will be coming back very soon.

I decided to try this coffee shop for lunch & certainly wasn't disappointed. The latte was lovely, the smoked salmon & cream cheese on warm bread with a delicious chutney served with crisps & salad certainly hit the mark. I finished with warm apple pie with fresh cream & it was very good indeed. The service was polite & friendly. Recommended

We popped in just for coffee and hot chocolate but ended up having toasted cheese sandwich and a beef sandwich couldn't fault it and although we only get in there once a year they even remembered us A lovely place very friendly and welcoming with excellent service and food

A lovely clean cafe run professionally by a friendly and welcoming family. It's always a treat to visit Heritage as the menu is varied, the coffee is excellent and the bacon sandwich with maple syrup is irresistible! Car parking can be limited but it's well worth the effort of finding a more remote space and walking in. It's a nice spot and the view from the terrace are across to Eryri and Caernarfon Castle. Heritage is a firm favourite with local folk and they have a faithful following. A nice place to meet up with old friends and make new ones too. Prices are fair, service is friendly and food delicious. How do they do it? I only wish they would open every day!! An easy 5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I always try and visit the Heritage cafe whenever I’m on the island. The menu changes all the time depending on what’s seasonally. My only criticism is it’s only open three days a week. Best cakes by miles.

We were so happy that we found this little gem on a wet and windy day recently after a morning at Newborough. It was busy but there was still space outside under their little canopy covered seating area. Everything was spotless, the bathroom outside was immaculate, while the bacon butty on the sourdough bread was hands down the best one all three of us have ever eaten (the bacon was top quality and the sourdough was so nice!). The cup of tea was the best too, and we can't quite put our finger on the exact reason, but it was! (other than the water must be top in the area). The younger man who served us was brilliant, friendly, chatty and the service was excellent too. We'll be back every time we come to Anglesey :)

What a great find. Had a marvellous lunch here, food was amazing and the staff so friendly and attentive. You couldn't ask for a nicer venue, great views and you can eat in or out side. I dont think I have ever been to such a clean and well laid out cafe before, there has been real attention to detail here. Would highly recommend a visit. Perfect place to start or end a walk.

I downloaded Trip Advisor solely for this review. We’re local and were on our way to Ynys Llanddwyn from Bangor. We were hoping for some breakfast then came across this cute little hut, we received a warm welcome from the staff and were served more or less right away. The three of us ordered the Sausage Patty with cheese and pickle. We received three patties in this bap! Two of us got milkshakes and the other got a fruit smoothie and a mocha. It was the most beautiful experience ever. I must say it was Cheff’s Kiss 😚👌🏽 Thank you, it was such a great experience. Cheap too!! I payed £12.15 for the milkshake and the patty. It filled me up and was well worth the money. I just want to emphasise once more how amazing the sausage patty was, as well as the coleslaw. Don’t think i’ve ever had coleslaw like that before. We ended up here after an abysmal visit to Anglesey Model Village and WhistleStop Cafe. We had some lovely coffees and delightful bacon rolls on sourdough. The service was brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. A gem indeed.

This lovely coffee shop was recommended to us by Halen Mon ( the sea salt company near by ) . Couldn’t fault at all. Clean, lovely menu and friendly staff. Will definitely call again if in the area.

Excellent coffee shop in an area generally lacking in places to get a bite or a drink. Its tiny, but more than makes up for this with a view over southern Anglesey to Snowdonia, which in good weather can be viewed from their terrace.

Was referred here by the team at Halen Mon (Angelsey Sea Salt) (which is also a terrific place to go). What a delightful cafe, with super energy, and fabulous coffee and meals.

Came here today for cake and hot drink with my husband after walking at Newborough and returning to Beaumaris where we are staying for a couple of days. Passed this cafe by chance and so glad that we stopped, it was just what we needed. Delicious cakes and tea and coffee. Spotlessly clean and lovely, friendly staff. Definitely recommend.

Visited on the 29th September 2022 for lunch and what a terrific find this place is, definitely the very best coffee on Anglesey and the surrounding areas! The food on offer is of the highest quality and they will cater for any intolerances that you may have be that Gluten Free or Dairy Free, vegan dishes are also available. The cakes on offer are also wonderful! Called in again on the 30th in the morning to have a quick Coffee and bacon roll and was just as great! Lovely Owner and Staff who really go the extra mile to make sure everything is just right. Definitely a 5 star Cafe!

Just the job - if you want wonderfully fresh food, great coffee and lovely people make sure you stop here. The menu has so many tempting dishes, plus freshly made cakes - it has a really good feel about it - lovely find.

Called in whilst out cycling for the day. Coffee stops are few and far between on Anglesey and this has to be one of the very best you will find. You should definitely call in.

the costumer service when it first opened was very good but now, its terrible. the owners are very rude. at first dogs were allowed in but 3 days later you would get told off for bringing your dogs. also no children are allowed without an adult which is also ridiculous. some kids are troubled but not all kids but instead of banning the troubled kids, they banned the whole lot of them. i'd say they would get the most money from the mornings as the children wait for the bus but no, cause they arent allowed there. i'd go there to support local businesses but not anymore unfortunately. i always wanted a cafe in the village but certainly not this one. its sad because its a beautiful cafe but thats the only good thing about it. i wouldnt he surprised if they went out of business because nothing was being sold. would not recommend this cafe.

An excellent find! We were looking for some lunch in the middle of Storm Dennis and were in the area. Don’t be put off by the full car park, because walkers etc also use it. Heritage Coffee Shop gave us a warm welcome from the outset. We had home made soup and toasted deli breads. The children were made to feel welcome at all times. They did a smaller portion of soup for my daughter and milk came in a cup with a lid to prevent spillages. We also sampled the cakes and the coffee/tea. Everything came quickly, was piping hot and tasted delicious. They had taster portions of food to help you decide. Lots of lovely touches like the heart shaped butter and the little biscuit with your hot drink. The cafe is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and everything is immaculately clean. The toilet facility was spotless too. We would absolutely return again and recommend you visit. Thank you for welcoming us and we wish you all the best with your business.

Small welcoming cafe. Food is all home made and served fresh. Definitely recommend the bacon butty. Staff are friendly and obliging. Don’t be put off by the car park being full walkers often park there and don’t use the cafe so check there is a table - it’s definitely worth it.

Small, unassuming cafe with a warm welcome, simple menu, excellent food and best coffee in the area. The few items on the menu are done really well and the cake selection is was novel and tasty.

Lovely café with good coffee. Such a rare find in the area. Can recommend the flat white if you like the lingering flavour of coffee after you have left the table. Bright and friendly café and we will visit again.

We have passed a couple of times and meant to try it. So made a point of stopping on our way to Newborough Warren for a walk. The car park was over full. I popped in to reconnoiter. It was chocker. So we drove on. We tried again on the way back. Again the car park was quite full (3 spaces). Inside there are 5 tables suitable for a couple, ie with 10 chairs; but a random 3 extra stools which shows a sensible approach. By then we only wanted a couple of drinks, both of which were spot on (Earl Grey tea + Mocha). The cakes looked lovely. There were a few items including bagels and paninis, which looked interesting. We shall undoubtedly call again to try one. But be advised that parking could be tight, and if it (and the road alongside) are full, probably the 5 tables will be in use. (This was mid October)

We had a warm welcome with carefully prepared and super tasty food. The teas were quality. You could eat in the toilet it was that clean! We found it bright and yet cosy with lovely views. Everything has been thought of to make the customer feel relaxed and looked after.

After failing to find a nearby farm shop thanks to Google maps putting us on the wrong side of town, we parked up in the public car park surrounding Heritage Cafe and decided to breakfast there instead prior to our hike along the Menai Strait. The first thing we immediately noticed was how immaculately clean this small, but very tasteful cafe is. The second, was the friendliness of the lovely staff - we felt at once welcome with conversation flowing. The owners have elected to keep the breakfast menu simple and manageable and our bacon sandwiches made from delicious and ample local bacon on fresh local bread were perfection. I had the maple syrup on mine which took it to another level. Coffees are made carefully and expertly, our flat whites probably being the best on the island. No corner-cutting here - this is seriously good coffee. Many coffee shops in our home city of York would struggle to match this. It really set us up for a great day's hiking and left us in a good mood. We took one of the cafe's chocolate brownies on the hike, which was superbly made and delicious. We wish this cafe well. The owner's hard work is paying off and they richly deserve success.

Surprised how lovely this place was inside as is small building off the road. Very reasonable prices for great coffee and cake etc. wonderfully clean and fresh feel inside . Nice and peaceful seating outside too with view out our towards snowdonia . we were on our way to do a walk at newborough so was great to have pit stop here before we stared.

Not open long, this new cafe with pleasant and welcoming staff is a very nice place to stop off. You can park right outside on you way to many local attractions or go from there for a stroll down to the Menai straights, along past the Sea Zoo and back again via the farm lands to the village.

We nearly didn’t stop here as there were lots of cars in the car park and we could see it was tiny - but when we went inside there was only one other couple - so don’t assume it will be full when you see all the cars outside! We had paninis and bacon sandwiches - all were excellent. The accompanying salad was clearly freshly prepared and the coffees were really good. It is immaculately clean and we were given a very warm welcome.

We called in for a snack after a circular walk. It is a lovely little cafe which does great coffee, milk shakes and snacks. Very friendly Owners. Will definitely come again. They also display some really keenly priced art work for sale.

Just dropped in for coffee and a cake today - but also had to try out a Bacon sandwich on the strength of a previous TripAdviser’s recommendation. The sandwich was great - thick fresh bread and plenty of bacon. Coffee was good too. They also have a Loyalty card -so no doubt will be back soon.

How can a panini be this good? It tastes so different. Such delicious food in quirky ex toilet block. Smart and shining. Worth seeking out. And don’t forget the new toilet next door!! Or better still, use the loo then enjoy a meal. Win,win

We dropped in here for a late lunch snack and enjoyed freshly made ciabatta with a good side salad. Excellent coffee as well. The premises were small but immaculate and care of detail of our order spot on.

We have been visiting Anglesey for years and know this corner of the island very well. The Heritage coffee shop opened in winter 2018, and on Thursday 30 May 2019 this was our first, but definitely not last, visit.

We were passing this little cute coffee house on our way to the Halen Mon sea salt factory. This coffee is highly recommended. My friends and I had a lactose free coffee and a gluten-free granola with seasonal fruits. The owner was very friendly.

We passed through on a road trip, not knowing the treat we would be in for. A very warm welcome, great coffee and 4 delicious granola made our day. Highly recommended! It is also very clean and in a good location!

Having just enjoyed the Dunes walk at Newborough we were ready for a spot of lunch, the Heritage coffee shop was perfect. Knowledgeable, welcoming staff together with freshly prepared, beautifully presented food - we sat outside at comfortable tables, excellent views and water for the dog!

On the south west of the island on the main road with a big car park. The inside is classy clean warm and cosy. The staff are very friendly and it gets better from there. Coffee (cappuccino and flat white were excellent) . Nice range of quality food. Looking forward to our next visit.

We’d driven from Rhosnigir looking for a decent cafe for a cup of tea. We’d nearly given up when we found this. Great cafe, welcome, cup of tea and scone with cream and jam. And all at v affordable prices. Hope you enjoy it!

We live locally, and decided today to give the heritage cafe a try. So glad we did. We were made to feel welcome the minute we walked in the door. We had a look at the menu and quickly decided what we wanted I ordered the cheese ham and fig jam panini and my mum had the bacon sandwich with maple syrup and if that wasn't enough we both had a slice of lemon and pistachio cake The cappuccino was delicious with a lovely decoration on top Honestly couldn't fault anything Delicious food and friendly service. We can't wait to go back
