Lovely pub 🍻 in a tiny village - good beer and good prices. We sat in the beer garden at the back - nice when the sun actually arrived. We didn't stay for food so can't comment on that but overall def worth a visit 🙂 🙂

I have noticed over the last few months that when there have been music gigs at this pub, there have also been tens of inebriated teenagers littered around the place that I KNOW are under the legal drinking age, so my question is are these kids being ID’d?? Are the bar staff aware that they are selling alcohol to children?? Do they care so little about their licence to sell alcohol that they will do it anyway regardless of the age just to get a couple quid? Its vile and disgusting and the bartenders and managers should know better

On arrival my friends and myself were given a warm welcome. The pub is very much a village pub relying on local trade. The menu was very limited. We had pie of the day. Well cooked and plenty of it. Very noisy as the locals were enjoying the football on the TV. Very small menu and not geared up for tourism. Pity as this could be a good eating house.

They had a delicious vegan curry on the menu that day, it was amazing! Would highly recommend to stop by on your way when coming starved from a hike in Snowdonia, lovely beer garden too and there was live music to start in the evening but we haven't stayed for that. Thank you for a lovely meal and lots of smiles :-)

Wonderful day spent at Phil Fest. Great range of music, something for everyone, completely joyous! Excellent value, full of friendly people of all ages and walks of life. Done with great spirit to raise money for a brilliant cause. Rumour has it that it was the last one, hope and pray it will go on in some shape or form. If you get a chance to go to an event in this pub it’s a gem, back garden, barn ,under cover huts, inside, outside bar. Attached Cuffed coffee cafe does fab food and a farm shop in spitting distance, well worth a visit or book an event.

Four adults (allegedly), two rowdy children and a boisterous dog all managed with a smile and a chat. Food was good pub grub, simple but filling after a day at the beach. If you're into food, forget this place. Matt's not trained, I believe. He destroys the beef which he cooks to death. ( He forgets to time the oven 'on' control. After 6 hours, it's too late!). The gravy is putrid and can only be described as "chemical factory grade". Veg usually dull to very dull. I won't be back but, bear in mind, the atmosphere is delightful! Decor looking bit dated and tatty, and I'm afraid to say the service was a bit hit and miss. Quickly seen to when we arrived, starters and mains came in good time, but we were walked past and ignored numerous times for half an hour once we finished main courses, so we knocked on kitchen door...paid and left even though we would of had desserts if offered.
