we were there for the weekend so only 2 pubs in the are we decided to call in. obviously a locals pub. not a bad pin & reasonably priced, staff were quite good & seemingly friendly. one point though one of the customers made me & my son feel a bit uneasy as we walked in with his strange & inappropriate behavior with my son regarding a shirt he was wearing. may call in again if we are in the area.

If you enjoy music and a good night out, then put the TV off and go to the Adelphi, in Amlwch. We travel from Holyhead, but I've spoken to people from all over the island and even the Mainland who just know it's worth the effort. Young and old share their love of music there.

Called in at this pub for their famous pies and mash..... we arrived at 8.25pm. We were told they had finished serving food....so even though I was disappointed I ordered 2 drinks. Mine was a vodka and coke, my friends was gin and lemonade.....the bar maid was fairly young and as I saw her pouring my drink I was talking to a chap at the bar and said how I disliked diet coke!! She served the drinks. I paid. Then I tasted my drink and it was diet COKE!!!! I'm 48 years old and know the difference between diet and full fat coke. So I said this is diet coke...she said no it's Pepsi max....I said it isn't it's diet coke! So she said that's all we have on draught....she was rude and was more interested in chatting to a boy in the other side of the bar. We shall not be returning to try their pies.

1st visit as a tourist. Locals got preferential treatment at the bar. Not a smile form either of the bar staff. I was busy. I own a hospitality venue but wouldn’t employ either of them. I was friendly & polite, which was difficult under the circumstances. Customers were lovely, made us feel welcome & were the only ones contributing to a congenial atmosphere. Enjoyed my half cider. Beer Garden was lovely & beautifully decorated with lights. Would've stayed longer if the bar staff weren't so obnoxious.

Always a pleasure calling here. This pub is going from strength to strength and is currently CAMRA pub of the year in 2023. We’re now up to 4 cask ales on sale and the landlord tells me hopefully there are two more on the way. Good and bad experience. The good; Great beer prices and friendly service. The bad; Driving hundreds of miles from Bournemouth only to be told that no food was available. This included the famous pies the pub is renowned for and the reason we included it in our tour of Anglesey, despite being available the previous day according to reviews. Sadly it seems we will be unable to comment on them, a situation made all the more annoying by the fact the pub and staff are quite wonderful. Our journey home will be a sadder time, not just because we are leaving this wonderful island but we are pieless.

Dined in on a Saturday night as part of a large group, so an advanced food order and reservation was made. My first time at Adelphi Vaults. Really friendly warm atmosphere with brilliant staff. Good selection of beers. All the food came out at the same time, in abundance and piping hot. Chips, mash, peas and pies and plenty of gravy. Easily catered for the dietaries of the group including vegans, gluten free. Very enjoyable evening and will definitely recommend to friends and return there again.

We dropped in for a late afternoon pint of Camden Ale which was served in the proper stumpy glasses and was very good. It's a local's pub with tradesmen coming in for a pint on the way home from work. Everyone is friendly including the barman who looks equally good in a dress shirt or sweatshirt. There are lots of big screens showing sport and I suspect it could be quite loud if there's a significant match or event on. It's also a convenient place to get a drink and wait for your order to be cooked at the next door chippy. Everywhere is clean and well kept and we were told a couple of times that the food is very good although we didn't eat here. The benches outside catch the late afternoon sun in summer and are a nice place to relax and people watch.
