Absolutely delicious food in a beautiful location. We had the fish and chips, butternut squash quiche with chips and salad, and kids fish and chips and chicken strips and chips. It was all perfect. The only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of cheaper options. There were no paninis being served so the cheapest adult option was £15, which isn’t ideal when you’re just popping in for a light lunch. We spent £54 on four meals and one drink which my husband and I shared, because we couldn’t justify spending much more than that on lunch. (Tap water available from the outside tap!) The staff were friendly and there was a relaxed vibe We will definitely come again for coffee and cake, the cakes looked incredible. We couldn’t afford another £25 today for coffee and cakes!

I too enjoyed the amazing chowder, and the rest of the walking group with me were equally impressed with the offerings at this wonderful gem. Runwayskiln is a fabulous place. This little gem serves the most delicious cakes, variety of coffees and teas, together with equally delicious lunches. We had smoked haddock chowder which has to have been the best we had ever eaten. And all this served by delightful staff, so friendly and welcoming. It's the sort of place you wish you could pick up and take home with you. Please make certain to visit if visiting Marloes, a place of equally fabulous beaches.

This restaurant was recommended in the visitors notes at the Saint brides Castle. This is a café near to a famous beach. The inside is quite plain but is cosy . It is a long way from the main road. There is only parking in the National Trust car park. It I a short menu. Sec code the Haddock Chowder. We were not disappointed as it was excellent. It is a shame you don’t see this dish on hardly any restaurant menu. The wine list is very limited comprising one white, one red, and one Rosie. We had the white which was French and less than £20. Heard about this place by word of mouth and as it was only about 10 minutes from where we were holidaying, we decided to pay a visit. Lovely quirky place surrounded by sea and countryside with plenty of outdoor seating with great views. Our food came really quickly and some of the best fish and chips we'd had in a very long time. Waiting staff were quick to bring our order and really friendly. A nice offering of drinks including some local real ales which my husband appreciated. I just wished we lived nearer so we could make this a regular haunt. We now regret we didn't buy some cake to take away as it looking amazing. A few points to note - check the cafes website/Facebook page carefully for opening hours - sometimes both the cafe and kiosk are open but sometimes just the kiosk which has a more limited offering. Parking is a short walk away in a free National Trust Car Park but if you are a blue badge holder you can drive down to the track to the cafe and just past the cafe, on the left, are a couple of blue badge allocated spaces.

The location of this café couldn't be better - perfect for walking down to the beach, and the most amazing views across the fields and coast. We stopped for breakfast before walking down to the beach, and it hit the spot. The breakfast rolls were super tasty - good quality ingredients, fresh and delicious. The cake was knock-out too, and the coffee was great. I am sure it was an off day, but the staff didn't seem particularly happy and were a little off with us.

Unfortunately we did not realise the restaurant was only open from Thursday in week and turned up on a Tuesday, but went instead for the kiosk food. Soo good! I had the tuna melt deluxe pannini- I didn't think I liked pickles but these were a pleasant surprise in this recipe. Other half had the hummous one which also said lovely. Tried a bit of the craft cider which again was really tasty and what more could ask with views from your lunch table like this, after a swim in the sea and a small walk back to the kiosk.

What do you get when you combine delicious, imaginative food with friendly, engaging staff, a stunning coastal setting and a cosy, charming interior? Runwayskiln. This is, without doubt, one of my favourite dining experiences - made all the more memorable by being so utterly unexpected. I was anticipating a cute cafe in a remote spot - I got the most exquisite, top quality cuisine accompanied by Gascogne and Vaucluse wines by the glass. Stars of the show were harissa aubergine, smoked mackerel with saute potatoes and brioche bread and butter pudding. The cakes (bara brith included, obviously) are fabulous too. Be sure to book. One of us tried a Dark and Stormy cocktail - also good. The plum frangipane tart and Algerian love cake made a great end to the meal. The service was pleasingly enthusiastic and efficient. We visited this lovely little cafe as my partner's grandfather was born here when it was a farm - we had visited briefly in the Spring but decided to call again after lockdown, and bring a couple of friends for lunch. I ordered the fish and chips whilst the other three had the Sewin and salad. As an exiled Yorkshireman I rarely order fish and chips south of Sheffield but feeling in a rebellious mood I had decided to risk it. I can honestly say that the fish, which I think was probably hake, was the best battered fish I have tasted in the last thirty years (outside of Yorkshire of course!) It was thick and flakey and cooked to absolute perfection. The batter was very thin and almost tempura but had "scraps" all over it so was nice and crunchy. The chips were without doubt the best I have had anywhere - and I include Michelin star restaurants in this. A suggestion to the cafe - if an order is taken for fish and chips along with other orders it would be nice to provide a small additional pot of chips to prevent the salad munchers stealing all of the chips. Will definitely be back again.

We have visited this lovely cafe twice during our two week stay in Pembrokeshire. Today for breakfast and lunch with a walk in between! On both occasions we were blown away by the fantastic food. The menu although short had something for everyone. Each dish was of exceptional quality, using good ingredients and the flavour combinations were amazing. I personally like short menus as it generally means the food is of higher quality. On our first visit we sampled the burger and lamb kofte, which came with the most beautiful whole grain tabouleh. Today it was the fish and chips and the sea trout on tapenade with new potatoes and watercress salad. The dishes looked amazing and tasted even better! The service was fabulous time was taken to make sure that we enjoyed our food. We felt very welcome by all the staff. Thank you.Personally I liked the queuing system and I felt it was effective and very fair.We would love to return!!!!

We were disappointed to discover this on our coastal walk and find it closed. On ringing the next morning to try and book a table for a family lunch that day, we were told that they do not take bookings, but were advised that there were plenty of tables and even if they were busy and we had to wait, they would be able to fit us in once a table was available. On arrival at 2pm, we were told that they were not accepting any more orders but if we wanted to come back later before they shut at 5, "we could see if there was anything left". Naturally we didn't bother and wont again. There was an empty table, which we would have happily sat at and had a round of drinks whilst waiting and most of the tables seemed to be people who had either finished their meals or were just having a coffee.

Food good quality however not a lot for vegetarians, only sandwich was bacon. Cake was yummy though. C'mon ...what about a cheese sarnie!

We went for coffee and cake, it was so lovely we went back the next day for lunch. The staff couldn’t do enough to help. No table available inside so we went outside, when it started raining we asked if they could do our meals as takeaway. Only too happy to oblige. All enjoyed our meal one of the best of the week.

This cute little place was absolutely fantastic. Runwayskiln has great food options and were very COVID-secure. I ordered a mushroom burger which turned out to be the best vegetarian burgers I have eaten in the UK! The coffee was great too :) would highly recommend.

Ate here with my husband tonight… the quality of the food is just incredible - lamb shoulder was melt in your mouth and hens egg to start was full of flavour. I couldn’t fault the service, lovely waitress and amazing value for money. Wish we lived closer! Thank you !

Fantastic coffee in a convivial setting. We went in here because where we had intended to go was shut. What a happy accident! The coffee here is absolutely brilliant. Thank you!

I love this place. It's so small but so cute. There are some tables at the back, we had lots of fun playing with the travel trivia cards on the table! The coffee is lovely and staff are very friendly. It's a hidden gem!

Not much to say other than this place does delicious ice cream, set in a traditional farm environment. The cows on the farm provide all the milk for the ice cream and it is all made in house. Well worth a visit. I'd post a picture of our ice creams but we were all too eager to eat them to take photos. It was so delicious that we went out of our way to visit a second time on the last day of our holiday!
