Spare of the moment decision to pop in for a meal! I ordered the Hunters Chicken. It wasn't a long wait, looked nice and was one of the best I've tasted. Chicken not overcooked and sauce not overpowering - lovely. Tasty coleslaw and nice salad garnish.

Lovely welcoming and friendly staff, my partner and I had the house wings and cheesy garlic ciabatta as a starter and burgers for the second, everything was perfectly cooked and full of flavour, and their coleslaw was so creamy and delicious. We will definitely be returning soon

Stunning food, presently beautifully too, the menu is so inviting it's hard to pick what to have. Full pancakes have to be the best breakfast around.

This hidden gem is located in the village of Johnston, and even though I am local I hadn’t gone in till I heard from word of mouth how good it was, and I wasn’t disappointed! I was greeted by friendly staff and my food arrived promptly and of a high quality and reasonably priced. I definitely recommend the Hunters chicken and sticky toffee pudding, both of which are gluten free. This little place needs to be celebrated, my family and I frequent there as much as possible, because of its positive attitude and atmosphere, but most of all the FOOD, with is tasty and beautifully presented! If you’re wanting to try something new, pop along, bring your family (there are toys and books for little ones), bring your dogs, and bring a healthy appetite! Great place!

Really delicious breakfast made with quality ingredients. Proper sausages and bloomer bread, and beans in a dish, perfect!

Have visited many times now every time food has been amazing service great and always with a smile. Clean and welcoming and also great as dog friendly. Also amazing beer garden for chilling on a sunny day.

Always love to visit the Larder in Johnston. Lots of choice on the menu. I had the most delicious chicken and bacon salad today and couldn't fault it. Tasty and plenty of it! I have two Coeliac children and we have been here several times as they are excellent at catering for their specific need. If you want to visit somewhere with lots of choice nice clean and friendly environment and go home with a full belly then this is your place to go! Thankyou

Had breakfast at the Larder this morning. Pancake stack and the full Larder. Fresh home cooked food that was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be returning.

This is an excellent breakfast spot. We both had the full pancake stack, huge portions were served to us for a reasonable price. There's great attention to detail; hot plates, so that your food is warm when it arrives at your table, crispy hash browns, maple streaky bacon, delicious sausages and fluffy pancakes. The staff were friendly and efficient as well. I will definitely be visiting again. Update: My mother and I both got food poisoning from this breakfast. I reached out to the restaurant to explain this had happened and they made no apology or comment, so I am updating my review to reflect this.

Me and my wife and I had a lovely meal and good-sized portions, and the staff are fabulous.

Lovely, relaxed and friendly. The food is excellent and comes with generous portions. The music and bingo nights are also really good. I go to the larder quite often with family and friends and would recommend it.

Had a nice meal there last week portion size was good and food was nice can't fault trying new places.

The larder is a pub restaurant. This was my first visit here for lunch. The car park is large and appealing for cars needing disabled parking as well as those needing normal considerations. The entrance is inviting. At the entrance, we were met with a lovely and very helpful young lady. She showed us in, gave us menus, and invited us to pick our seats. The first stop was the men's toilet. It had two stalls and a sink and was clean. I went order drinks and paid £6.40 for a pint of diet Pepsi and a 1/2 pint of lager and lime. For lunch, we ordered a burger without many of the additional condiments and a Southern Fried Chicken Burger with American Cheee, BBQ Sauce, Smoked Bacon, Red Onion, and lettuce on a sourdough bun. Both dishes included chips and Cole slaw. This cost £30.45. The food was large and very tasty. We could not eat everything on the plate. We did order another 1/2 lime and lager for £2.80. As we conversed, the helpful young lady cleared our table so that we could talk unimpeded. It was a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere.

Breakfast was good tasty food, coffee was adequate tea could have been brewed a bit longer but otherwise a nice place

Had a take away Sunday lunch had vegetarian sausage dinner the sausages were very soft and sloppy cudnt pick them up on fork but the did taste nice just needs to be oven cooked until cooked n crispy on outside cabbage and carrots were cooked perfect but the mash not sure if it was sweet potato or carrot n sweet mash it was like puree or baby food no texture or no taste what so ever disappointed in mash and gravy was very thin and didn't coat anything like water tbh if those bits were sorted out it would of been a very nice meal

Stopped in on a Saturday early evening after visiting the Camrose Rally. Was quiet only a few people in, everyone looked to be enjoying their food. Greeted by friendly staff. Ordered a few drinks as I was not driving 👍 ordered the special burger. It arrived and definitely did not disappoint at all. Left very stuffed and happy. Had a good chat with the staff, really nice to see a place doing well. Really worth a visit people for sure

Stopped in with the family for a quick lunch. Surprised to find they have now got a drinks licence. The food was excellent and the service was very good. My wifes burger was great, i had whitebait which was also very good. Good value for money and a splendid location. Will pop in again soon.

Great quality produce excellent service and delicious breakfast

Friendly, helpful people serving breakfast. I had the "small" breakfast which came out piping hot and seved on heavy, thick plates which kept the food hot until I finished. A good choice of food and drinks, including fruit juice which was included in the price of the breakfast. The best breakfast in the area and all for £8.50. "I will be back".

Great birthday lunch for my wife organised by our children! Burgers were great and so was the lasagne! But the waffles... out of this world!!

Looks a little bit derelict on the outside, but ignore that. The food is delicious and staff very friendly. Highly recommended

We've visited before when family were over from Australia. The food is really tasty on this visit just as previous, eventhough we only had a sandwich each and a portion of fries - plenty to eat including side salad, coleslaw and crisps. The large Latte came in a bucket.... 🤔😂 My only gripe was that the toilets need a bit of an update and repairs (mens anyway)

My mate picked us up a takeaway beef burger and chips on lunch. Was absolutely amazing! 5 stars from me and the boys.

Lovely lunch here a couple of weeks ago with my husband. I then met a friend for toast and coffee, this was lovely too. We have decided to try the breakfast next week.

Called in again with my 1yr old daughter for lunch. Went for cheese, ham and red onion chutney toastie alongside a cappuccino. Lovely coffee, really nice and tasty food, and even gave my little girl her own piece of toast which she loved eating/throwing/playing with 😁 Friendly staff and nothing's too much bother; the staff had put out a highchair before I'd finished taking my jacket off. Live semi-local and love calling in here and trying something different each time.

I'd been meaning to come here for so long. I don't go out for cooked breakfast that often and when I do, it's usually hangover medicine. I'm so glad this wasn't the case today. We just decided to randomly pop in and try it out. I've had annual leave this week and the theme of my time off has been about eating anywhere other than at home. Fresh made ground coffee and undeniably top quality ingredients, cooked beautifully for the breakfast. Black Pudding was the best I've had anywhere around here, the sausages, bacon and hash browns were also excellent quality. A grilled tomato (essential) instead of the tinned plums or none at all that so many other places serve. To summarise Excellent value Undeniably good quality ingredients Cooked beautifully (not greasy either) Friendly staff Fresh ground coffee Looking forward to coming back to try out some other things from the menu

Visited around Easter time. The coffee was really nice. When the staff were there, they were fairly pleasant but not completely approachable which wasn’t great. It was like we were inconveniencing them by ordering more than once. Also, the kids Easter option was a bit misleading which again, we would have overlooked but it just comes down to attitude. Haven’t been back to give it another chance so just an average score for now. But to be honest, nothing is calling me back either. Shame.

Has really gone down hill. Won't be going back

Lovely Coffee shop that has alternate milk options other than soy milk! They didn't have any vegan cake options but had other lovely cakes lined up. Nice atmosphere with a cute little shop attached to it:) Would definitely recommend!
