Oystermouth, Swansea
13/12/2018: Customer Service was very good, the restaurant was very clean and the product (vanilla ice cream) was fairly priced.
12/12/2018: Joes is famous in the Swanesea / Gower area and it does a vanilla ice cream with a unique taste. Its chocolate ice cream is good too. The other flavours are just about ok bjut the main thing I regret is the cheap plastic decor and furnishings, and that if you sit inside, they will serve your ice cream on disposable plastic. The whole place feels plastic, when it could be a classy ice cream parlour instead. So, it's a wasted opportunity in that respect and unfortunately, it contributes masses of waste plastic when it needn't. Still damn good vanilla though...

Madame Fromage

Cathays, Cardiff
18/12/2018: I visited here on 17.12.2018 with work. We had a colleague from a different office so decided to take then for some food in Cardiff.
11/12/2018: Expertly cheese journey explained along with a variety of cheeses and accompanying drink. Fun quiz as well. Recommended.

Shaam Nights

Plasnewydd, Cardiff, <20£
15/12/2018: Family and friends went to the restaurant as if left late to book on Saturday night in Cardiff! Found it easy enough and greeted at the door by a friendly member of staff. The food was incredible and the price was great too. No alcohol is sold on the premises. This is a photo of the mixed platter 2, more than enough for 2 people. Next time I'm in Cardiff I'll be back!
09/12/2018: We visited the restaurant for an early dinner before going to the Motorpoint Arena. It’s beautifully decorated which makes it stand out from others in the street. The food was very tasty and generous servings meant unfortunately we couldn’t order dessert but we will definitely go back again. We would recommend the polo drink ( mint and lemon) which was really refreshing.

Red Lion

Rhigos, Rhondda Cynon Taf
16/12/2018: We booked a table from 14.45 we arrived at 15.00 no one considered to call us to live if we arrived we are from cardiff and a lot of traffic arrived we tell them we are closed remember customers are your frend family and job I know you food i5 star but you are no Jamie Oliver you are business family not considering customers I'm a restaurant manager and I've been working in restaurants for 25 years dont forgot customers when you started thanks
15/12/2018: Stopped here for lunch on a day out. A lovely traditional pub that has apparently been refurbished - and if so they’ve done a great job. Cosy, fires burning, ales on cask, friendly and attentive service. Only had a light lunch (one course). Food was good, especially the cawl, but I thought probably a tad on the expensive side. There were LOTS of reserved tables when we arrived, so I guess this reflects that although it seems a bit out of the way, they get good trade. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

Nant Restaurant

Taffs Well, Rhondda Cynon Taf
14/12/2018: Our first visit was truly exceptional. Menu choice was very good and did not disappoint. Stylish presented food and beautifully cooked . Staff welcoming and very attentive . Looking forward to our next visit .

07/11/2018: We visited Abergavenny for the day and came across Cwtch Cafe around lunchtime. The food is lovely, as are the drinks and the staff are pleasant. All in all, we spent a very nice hour, sat by the window, eating, drinking and watching the world go by.

Britannia Inn

Gower, Swansea, 20-30£
16/12/2018: Another visit to our favourite restaurant. This time on a very busy Saturday lunch time in the build up to Christmas. The front-of-house team were quick, calm and so pleasant. The food was superb. I had cockles and laverbread starter - one of my favourites and always a delight. My shoulder of lamb was just fantastic the meat so tender the accompanying mixed vegetables cooked perfectly and the potatoes with caramelised onions - I could have just had this for a main course it was so nice. Dessert was a large chocolate and hazelnut brownie with Ice cream and I ordered what must be the nicest hot chocolate in Wales!! This restaurant achieved what was perfection for me - on what may be one of their busiest days of the year.
13/12/2018: We met up here with friends who live on the Gower. It offers a friendly welcome and pleasant ambience. There is a wide choice of good quality and imaginative dishes as well as nice ales. Service is friendly and efficient. Well with transiting the Gower to enjoy. Easy parking. Recommend!

Fullbrook's Bistro

Pont-y-clun, Rhondda Cynon Taf
12/12/2018: We met friends in this lovely restaurant. One of my friends is vegetarian and vegan. The menu was very comprehensive with lots of choices for our friend.

De Courceys Manor

Pentyrch, Cardiff, 45-60£
18/12/2018: Held our wedding here on the 15th December absolutely incredible, perfect venue and staff. Food was as good as any top class restaurant i’ve Eaten in, bearing in mind they catered for 90 people. Our guests took all the on site cottages and commented on the high standard of decor and comfort. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone getting married in South Wales.
14/12/2018: We went to a 70th birthday lunch party which was fabulous from start to finish. The venue and setting is lovely which was a great start. We were served a 3 course lunch and had to pre-select our menu choice. There were 10 of us on our table and we all had an outstanding meal. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. The staff were delightful and the service excellent. A good time was had by all.

Sunrise CAFE

Blaina, Blaenau Gwent
01/12/2018: Just had another return visit to the sunrise cafe in blaina, they started doing festival rolls so we have to try them out. Turkey and stuffing roll was amazing and the gravy really finished off the meal. great price again food is piping hot and fresh will be returning in the future
28/11/2018: Excellent food and prices. I travel from Merthyr for a breakfast here. Love it. Friendly staff always with a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

The Cricketers

Riverside, Cardiff, <20£
16/12/2018: 4 of us ate here last night (15th) and it was superb. Very busy night but the staff were very attentive and the food was unbelievable. Can't wait to eat here again.
13/12/2018: Had visited with work colleagues and had been drinking large white wine lemonades. All was fine and my other half had gone up and ordered our drinks (during shift change) Came back and the “white wine lemonade” that he brought back was either lemonade that had just been changed or soda water. Took back to the bar to which the server was brilliant however had to check with manager what to do... I was then told because the drink was poured fine I would have to buy another.... I disagreed and it was agreed I would get another but not a large only a medium... Same taste again. I took it back to the bar why I was then told “it was in my head and either I drink it or go without” by the manager on shift!! Disgusting service. It’s a shame because been here before and always been amazing!!

Annette's Restaurant

Grofield, Monmouthshire
17/10/2018: 8 of us aged from 43 to 88 had lunch here today. Scones and jam, salad, beans on toast, poached egg on toast, baguettes etc. All food was lovely and fresh. Service was friendly and quick.
10/10/2018: We had the best cream tea ever at this cafe - big, warm, fluffy, home made scones with jam and proper clotted cream. Staff helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

Lion Inn

Trellech United, Monmouthshire
13/12/2018: We called in for a late lunch after a morning shopping in Monmouth. What a find! I had the duo of game - excellent quality meat which was cooked to perfection - while my husband had the pie with Trellech tattles, which were delicious. Both meals were freshly cooked to order and served by the very friendly staff. We will definitely return next time we're in the area.
08/12/2018: Had lunch there again as we were in the area. It has an extensive menu of home cooked food .We chose from the lighter menu, it was excellent and quite filling , I had the lasagna and my husband had scampi both served with chips and salad.

Clydach, Swansea
10/11/2018: Visited today with a friend. We had an absolutely delicious afternoon tea. Everything was freshly prepared and delicious. I can’t recommend enough. The cafe’s new location is lovely! It’s tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. It’s well worth a visit, there was a constant stream of customers which is a recommendation in itself.
15/09/2018: I visited Pantri’s new premises today, and was thrilled to enter the lovely bright new cafe on Vardre Road. There’s lots more space, with seating upstairs as well, but the quality of both coffee and cakes remains high. I’ll be back!
