Absolutely delicious food! My husband had a pasty and he really enjoyed it. I had a ham, avocado and brie sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. Nicest sandwich I've eaten out in a long time. Coffee was really lovely too. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a bite to eat!

This is a take away so no atmosphere to talk of If you fancy some nice food sandwiches, pasties or pastries to sit by the sea and watch boats go by try here.

Visited here twice for excellent Prawn Marie sandwiches. Great service with a modern twist of get given and alarm when your order is ready. We also brought some duck pate and coffees too… all very good

Absolutely fabulous baguettes today. Really well filled and tasty. Had to wait a few minutes outside for them to be freshly made, and absolutely worth it. We'll return again during the week.

Considering these are freshly made sandwiches I was hoping for a better quality bread from a deli, rather than pre sliced processed bread, however sandwich was tasty and well wrapped. Would have really liked the crab baguette but at £13.65 it felt £27.30 for 2 of us was just extortionate! Be aware the Deli is not open on Wednesdays.

Highly recommend the baguettes and sandwiches from Deli. We always swing by here to get lunch before setting off on a long walk.

We couldn’t find anywhere in Salcombe that was open or that we fancied for some lunch during a visit there. So when we spotted this deli, we thought we’d give it a try and have a take away instead. What a brilliant find. !!!!!! The food was exceptionally good and great value, we thoroughly enjoyed our sandwiches, looking out over the harbour on a nearby bench. The gent who served us was very polite and friendly. Highly recommend.

Super find. Fresh, tasty Sandwiches and salad. We had two crab sandwiches and prawn salad and Brie salami one too. Lots of filling, fresh ingredients and so much better than a pre packaged deal you find elsewhere. It’s a take away not eat in, so we walked down and sat overlooking the harbour. Lots of varied deli type wonders can be found here. Highly recommend.

What a great find!!!. Delicious fresh healthy salads ( they make lots of other things as well ) made while you wait, full of really tasty ingredients. The staff are really lovely. I would highly recommend giving them a try.

Had an air bnb very close to the deli. Popped in before going to the beach. Two amazing sandwiches. Freshly made, gorgeous produce, delicious! So good that we ended up visiting two more times, including taking sandwiches for the journey home. Huge sandwiches, more than enough to share, well worth the money. Some delightful items in the shop too! We encountered several members of staff, all super helpful and friendly. Highly recommend, we’ve left the menu on the pinboard in the accommodation for others to enjoy!

Popped in just before 3.00pm for lunch but kitchen was just closing .Staff went out if their way to offer us a platter from the deli counter instead. It was absolutely delicious. A mixture of salads , quiches, scotch eggs, sausage rolls .Beautiful presented too.Many thanks. Excellent

What a great place this is! We had the freshly made sandwiches (and I do mean freshly made!) which were fantastic. If you have a better sandwich than this I'd like to know where from! I had Mozzarella and my partner had Goats Cheese, freshly made whilst you wait (they kindly give you a pager so you can wander round) We came back and had the same a few days later which was just as good. The pasties & sausage rolls etc all looked very tempting but I couldn't manage one as well. Great little place well worth a visit, but you may need to wait a bit whilst the make it :-)

Have gone here for years to get lunch on the way to the beach. It is very expensive (like the rest of the town) but the food is great.

Cannot fault this place, the sandwiches and salads are freshly made, so you can take them out with you. Nothing is too much trouble! Thank you.

The four of us bought our lunch from here at least three times over our weeks stay in Salcombe. A great find. Between us we had various sandwiches, baguettes & pasties. The sandwiches are FULL of delicious fillings, prepared to order. Would definitely recommend.

It might not be the cheapest sandwich you have bought, but there is a good chance it is one of the nicest. Wide selection and utterly delicious.

We made a stop here for a quick lunch. We ordered several traditional pasties and one gluten free pasty all of which tasted amazing! (Best gluten free pasty we’ve tried) The gentleman serving was very knowledgeable about gluten free practices ensuring that the risk of cross contamination was minimised. Will definitely be going back!

We visited this Deli when we had a day trip in Salcombe because we saw how highly rated it was from looking at previous Tripadvisor reviews. There is a huge selection of different sandwiches available, as well as pastries and other savoury items. I decided to have a crab sandwich and it was delicious. The bread and fish were so fresh. I would definitely re-visit this place in the future. I have heard that the Deli gets very busy and foods sell out quickly, so I would advise getting there as soon as you can or pre-ordering your food online before you visit to avoid disappointment.

Crusty bread, loads of white crab meat. Could have been heavy or stodgy or chewy but was none of those things. Despite it being peak Saturday lunch, wait time was the ten minutes that they said when we ordered. Thoroughly enjoyable and highly recommended.

Best sandwich or Baguette in The the UK. Top class ingredients served to you by such friendly and pleasant staff. The owner is such a very kind and wonderful man. A must if you are ever in Salcombe. Oh and it is such a great price. 👍😁

You could tell from the queue it was popular and it was worth the short wait. Both our baguettes were overflowing with very generous fillings. Coronation Chicken in one and Ham and Mozarella in the other. Both delicious and a reasonable price.

Sooo good. We visited here yesterday and the food was tremendous. We all had something different and unusually these days everything we ordered was correct! I had the Salcombe Deli baguette which was Milano Salami, Emmental, Gherkins, Lettuce, Tomato, Mayonnaise and wow how good was it. Highly recommend this place and 1-2 mins further up the road were a couple of covered seating areas with a lovely view over the bay.

A fantastic little sandwich and cake shop. We went twice, firstly for pasties and secondly for a baguette. The prices were good, the baguette looked amazing and was filled well. We were satisfied both times. The server even called me by my first name many times, which added a personal touch!

Despite having a list of sandwiches you can order a mix of ingredients, as long as they are on the menu. Very friendly and helpful. All sandwiches freshly made. Also sell fruit and drinks.

This is a delightful deli with such friendly staff, a great selection and they make the best sandwiches. Very nicely presented too and excellent value for money. Would strongly recommend.

Cheeky five star review. Marks for very friendly service, in the teeth of the marauding crowds. Also marks for the great range of GF cakes and snacks - by no means a token gesture, they are excellent in their own right. Coffee good too. Very highly recommended amongst lots of competition in the town.

So pleased we found this deli early on in our week in Salcombe. Fabulous freshly made sandwiches. Their crab sandwiches are the best I've ever had. The fresh, ready to cook pizzas are excellent too. Service is brilliant, even in these difficult times. Highly recommended.

Made a point of returning to this Deli from a visit made last year. Was not disappointed. Bought a prawn sandwich and a coronation chicken. Both were freshly made, had packs of filling and were very tasty. Ate them overlooking Gara rock bay in the sunshine. What could be better?

We visited on a sunny, busy day in Salcombe. The server was on his own as he had been let down by his co worker - he was working flat out. It did not diminish the product or the friendly service. Delicious sandwiches/baguettes - we enjoyed the Loire, the ploughmans and the New Delhi - all superb.

Two vegetarian and gluten free tarts to choose from, including a roasted tomato and smoked cheddar tart and a feta and roasted vegetable tart. It wasn't the best gluten free pastry I've ever had, but the fillings made up for it. There was also a gluten free bacon tart and a gluten free meat pasty. Staff were friendly and kindly heated up our quiches for us to take away.

On this occasion were weren't looking for their excellent sandwiches but something for an evening meal. We have bought pastys there before and they remain a good buy. I am surprised by some of the negative reviews.

I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt but you can’t sell coffee like that. Weak and watery at best, perhaps you have a problem with the machine today. We were at the other end of the town otherwise we’d have brought it back. Cakes were nice though.

Mixed feelings on this deli. The adult selection was lovely and good quality, really enjoyed my sandwich. The cakes are lovely too. However, the kids sandwiches seemed rather overpriced for what they are. Also choice is granary or white, would be nice to have a brown options as kids often don’t like ‘bits’ in bread! So, recommended for adults-prob not for kids.

Visited during Covid. Excellent hygiene arrangements and we felt very safe. Now the food - This is not just any old takeaway - this is Sandwich perfection! Delicious fresh sandwiches, coffee and all beautifully presented.

Good service and a wonderful selection of salads, sandwiches and baguettes using local ingredients. Sympathetic to allergies, they offer your choice your way, assuring no cross contamination. The Salcombe crab salad was just delicious, so fresh. The avocado was perfectly ripe and melt in the mouth, the cherry tomatoes bursting with flavour and the lettuce and rocket crisp. The crab! Out of this world! I can taste fresh crab and this was fresh cooked, hand sorted crab. Worth every penny!

Wide variety of what appeared to be home made cakes and pastries which of the ones we tried were delicious. Similarly a wide variety of teas and coffees available.

My wife and I stopped by here today whilst in Salcombe. Fancied a sandwich for lunch, but had 2 superb freshly made while you wait baguettes. We then took these and ate them on a quiet bench overlooking the boats. The baguettes were stuffed with filings. Very happy.

We had previously walked past this place knowing that we would revisit when we were hungry. The sandwich menu was extensive with so much choice, we had prawn and avocado, crab and cheese and ham. All were delicious and were definitely worth waiting as they were made up from scratch in the kitchen. A small gem of a deli that sells all sorts. I would highly recommend this place and will def revisit when I’m back in Salcombe!

I ordered a chicken salad mayonnaise sandwich and my husband coronation chicken. Chap serving was v helpful and friendly and someone behind the scenes made the sandwiches to order. We also partook of the yummy ice cream and Luscombe drinks! Total £17 but the sandwiches were stuffed with chicken. Lovely. Would definitely recommend

Popped in and bought lots of little pots of food - houmous, carrots, peppers etc. Sat and ate outside watching all the boats. Much nicer than being in a restaurant!

Visited at 1pm on a busy August Wednesday. Ordered within a few minutes, given a ticket and freshly prepared food with us 8 minutes later. Nicely presented prawn baguette and a very fresh brown bread chicken and avocado sandwich. Took them to Cliff gardens and enjoyed lunch with the best view in the UK. Highly recommend this Delicatessen and sandwich shop.

Popped into the Salcombe Delicatessen and Sandwich bar today during my weekend in Salcombe. Glorious weather all weekend and the ice cream we bought was just the job. There are all sorts of other tasty offerings for a light lunch too!

We were mugged by the Salcombe Seagull Gang and my wife had a roll taken out of her hand by a gull that swooped in from behind us. The meant we still had a little hole to fill. High up on the highlights board was "Gluten Free Pastries and Products" so being Coeliac we had to go in. We bought two quiches to keep for our evening meal and takeaway coffee and ice cream to have immediately. Lots of other choices for special diets and very helpful staff. The ice cream was so good we didn't buy any more that week as we knew it could not be so good.

An incredible choice of food considering its a tiny shop! you can pre order and collect an imaginative range of salads and sandwiches, cheeses and other nibbles and treats. Vegan, GF and veggie options. Local ingredients. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

We had 3 sandwiches 3 days in a row from this place. Each one was consistently as good as the last. The prices were realistic but also well worth it, a reason we handed our cash over so willingly! Packaging mostly recycle-able. A good idea if you’re planning a long walk but don’t have catering facilities if camping for example. We’ll be back.
