My children purchased ice creams here. They came back and said the portions were generous and tasted great(raspberry ripple) .

Staff for lovely friendly and welcome and the pasties are amazing

Stopped for a coffee on slapton sands. Very nice coffee and Carrot cake. A few table and chairs dotted around, and the kiosk takes Card. Great stop off location along the A379

Had various drinks and cakes whilst on holiday...All very tasty. However the ice cream was worthy of special note. I would say they were just as good as the Orkney ice creams we get up here in Scotland and second only to "Aunt Bettie" from Stonehaven...IMHO. It's not called the Lime Coffee Company any more. The owners need to give Maps an update.

Lovely little coffee place. We had an Americano, cappuccino, orange polenta cake and a toffee apple crumble slice. Excellent. Very friendly service too.

Wouldn't bother I thought I would come let the dog have a run round and get a bite to eat. I wish I didn't bother,, bacon bap £5 and the bacon was done in a microwave time I got back to the car about 10 foot away it was stone cold on a burger bun, I got a sausage roll bacon bap and a latte £12.50 could of got a full English, toast and coffee for that

Used to be fantastic coffee here, now Salcombe diary have taken over here it's not great £3:30 flat white is something that resembles a service station latte. At least the view is still the same.

I always use this place when at Slapton. The coffee is good and the flapjack is amazing.

The coffee was okay but the food is overpriced and prepared (microwaved) I had a bacon sandwich, the bap was curated in the stoneage and the bacon was cold and sad

Went here last year and it was Lovely. Appears to have been taken over by Salcombe Dairy which makes it so more corporate. But looks like it’s been renovated. Coffee was nice but not very hot on a fresh morning. Bit disappointed really.

Excellent coffee and cakes. It does get busy at peak times so there is a bit of a wait, but it’s well worth it. The coffee has a real kick to it - like it should - and the flapjacks were wonderfully moist and packed with flavour.

Terrible service. Forgot our coffees and just served people who had arrived well after us before.

We always visit for a halloumi and chilli bap and coffee when on holiday. Wonderful food, super friendly service and best view in the world to sit and enjoy. We will be back again and again. Thank you.

Great ice creams and sorbets. Coffee can't say, never use plastic cups (paper) which always make any, even good coffee, taste like Starbucks ****.

Gluten free delight! We jumped off the bus to explore the beach here and were thrilled to find a little gem. Not only decent hot drinks but as coeliacs the option for a gluten free, veggie / vegan lunch box was perfect. Lovely young chap behind the counter. Quick service. Tasty food. Thank you.

Stoped here to grab something to eat & drink before taking the dogs down to the beach. What a fabulous little place! Had a tasty cappuccino and delicious bap with falafel & chilli jam. The lady behind the counter was friendly, and happy to chat all things “spaniel” with me - which is always a good thing in my book! Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing beach cafe..great food, very chilled

A great find on our visit to Devon and we called by twice. The toasties were great, bacon roll was excellent, and the variety of cakes never failed to disappoint. NB: If you are expecting blistering speed of service, just remember there is one chap doing it all, and there is plenty of scenery to take in while you wait.

I have just had a Bacon , spinach and tomato bap. It was so lovely and great value for money. Friendly staff and great service. On an unseasonably warm day in November this was the perfect end to a wonderful walk.. thank you Lime Coffee company

Lovely little cafe on the beach at strete! Coffees, cold drinks food ice cream everything you need! The girls there were very friendly too! There are a few benches also so you can sit next to it also. Most items are ethically spiced and the cups they use are environmentally friendly!

Had a couple of coffees here whilst staying in the area. Beautifully sited on the Beach at Strete Gate car park. There seemed a good variety of cakes too. Staff were friendly and coffee was good.

Wonderful location right on the beach, my son had an apple crumble cake that was delightful, we jlallsobhad two smoked bacon spinach tomato bab also great, and to top it off the service was second to non, will be back, next week

Very friendly young lady. We purchased coffee and cake. Both were lovely. And the lady also gave us good advice on places to visit.

This was fun and welcome at the end if the beach. Good coffee, nice cakes and plenty of seating outside. Sat and watched the Navy who (presumably) were looking for small boats coming from France

Izzy dealt with a never ending Boxing Day queue today by herself with good humour, churning out lovely barista made coffees, speciality hot chocolates and chai lattes. Well worth the wait and priced totally reasonably for the standard of food and drink. As always.

Good range of food on the menu. Both veggie and traditional options - falafel and halloumi (not together!) sandwiches. Freshly prepared and tasty. Friendly staff. Great snack in lovely location with benches on the beach.

Perfect cappuccino and friendly service

The cafe is open all year round. Friendly staff. The coffee was excellent, lovely cakes and cookies. Did not try any of her food, but looked good. The cafe is set on an amazing beach, Strete Gate Beach, which is a small pebble beach. I have to say as an adult I much prefer this type of beach to sand. Also has a good selection of ice creams, perfect for a sunny day.

Salted chocolate brownie was amazing, a small but well stocked shack just near the entrance to the beach, ice creams, cakes, coffee and a small lunch menu. Love this end of the beach as much quieter but be mindful there is a naturist section a bit further on!

Torcross to Strete Gate is an all- time favourite of ours, with it's unspoilt, natural beauty. Lime is the little bit of icing on the cake. Really good coffee and cakes, served with a smile- hard to better this simple experience on a blue- sky day (or any other day for that matter). I hope the good reviews help to keep them busy and profitable, but not too busy!

Brilliant coffee (mocha) with plenty of milk alternatives! Girls are lovely and friendly. Only 4 stars as £3-20 for a small coffee seems a lot to me. But I may be out of touch with coffee prices these days...

After a long walk up and down the beach, we were so glad to have some delicious cake and a coffee.

Set on the edge of the lovely beach at Strete Gate/Slapton Sands sits this little treasure. It blends perfectly with it's surroundings and offers an amazing selection of cakes and sandwiches including vegan and gluten free. I was served by an exceptionally friendly young woman. The Decaff Latte and Gluten free lemon cake were just right. I sat at a very clean picnic table and marvelled at the view. Bliss!

We arrived on the beach what was meant to have been a hot sunny day according to the old bbc weather folks. However, it was far from hot and sunny, but more cloudy, windy and a bit chilly. Luckily this van was here to supply us with a hot drink to keep warm on the beach

At 5pm after having walked the beach from the far south western Torcross and running out of energy, wondering how we were going to manage it back again, what a welcome sight Lime Coffee was! beautiful cup of hot chocolate and marshmallows and a mars bar we’re just what we needed. very pleasant young lady serving, contactless Apple pay and nice empty picnic tables. will definitely come back

Just what the beach needs. Drinks, sandwiches, snacks, cakes and ice cream. Centrally located, easy access as nearly completely flat from the car par. Dog friendly ice cream (but had run out unfortunately) Perfect for needs of beach and close to toilets - thank you

Great coffee (Origin I believe) friendly service and great location but I had mine black as the I’ve never seen such a dirty milk encrusted steam knob! Takes 2 seconds to wipe it off.

This 'Beach Cafe' is a must no matter how far you have to travel for the experience. Excellent coffee, cakes to suit most tastes (plus GF, Vegan and Vegi) choice of savories, bacon bap highly recommended. Friendly helpful staff.

Lots of lovely cakes to chose from and a lovely cup of coffee. The staff were very friendly and there is a clean public toilet close by.

This is a small mobile unit on the beach just down the hill from Strete. At first glanceyou would dismiss it as a basic beach tea bar. DON'T. It serves the best coffee for miles around. The bacon naps are amazing as are the selection of cakes all homemade. The Gluten free vegan flapjack being a particular highlight

It was so nice so see the lime coffee company open and have an amazing mocha, to warm my hands whilst the dogs played on the beach. I have to say I think their coffees are the best in the area and always served with a smile

A blight on this area of outstanding natural beauty. Poor quality coffee and a very loud generator that can be heard from way down the beach. I am shocked that this is permitted here. Seems permanent despite being a mobile trailer.

We always have to come here when we visit the area. LOVE the beach, the view and the coffee. Lovely friendly service, and just the best Lemon drizzle cake ever. Sat for nearly an hour, just enjoying the weather and the beautiful view!

It's a bit of a captive market here as the road south beyond Strete Gate is closed, so we stopped to take a look at the beach before turning back. At first glance the Lime Coffee Company cabin looks like any other shack selling who knows what on any other beach, but this one's a bit different. It certainly takes its coffee-making seriously - ours were excellent - served with a smile, and if only we hadn't just eaten their food looked good too.

Best beach, best coffee, locals favourite! It now has sister coffee shop in Dartmouth called Bula on Newcommen Road next to Edward's Fudge Shop. That's got the best coffee, yummy smoothies, fresh OJ and healthy, delicious stuff.

Stopped here when the road was closed to Torcross. Benches and parasols on the beach and good coffee. Friendly staff. Dog friendly on the beach.

On a walk along the Devon Coast Path we came across this perfect little stop off point. A great spot for a quick drink on your way along the coast. We ordered coffee and a soft drink, though I had massive hot chocolate envy when a chap received his order with whipped cream and marshmallows - it looked amazing!!

Amazing unspoilt location, pretty little hut and nice picnic tables, simple selection of healthy made-to-order sandwiches, coffees and a great range of home-made cakes, plus friendly and cute singing staff duo.

It looks like a mobile shack and it is, but go round the front and there is a warm welcome, interesting cakes and gorgeous coffee. There was a large selection of cakes even late on a weekday afternoon. We had Lumberjack cake and a piece of lemon and pistachio polenta cake. Both were moist and delicious.

Lovely little shack serving a lunch selection, drinks and ice creams - including dog ice cream which our furry friends loved!!! Nice guy serving, very friendly and chatty. Would stop by again if in the area, and would recommend, worth the walk.

It was great to find the welcoming sight of a cafe on the beach. There was a delicious smell and the coffee was very good. There was also a good choice of food too. It was great to sit and enjoy the view.

It's our second visit in five years.. The coffee and friendly service just get better! A fabulous place to stop and take in the sights, even if no time for a swim or sunbathe!

They are situated in a trailer that from behind looks like a box, but don't be misled go round the front for a warm welcome and some of the best coffee in the area. The grandsons all rated the hot chocolate very highly (that's saying something) cake were great and I'm sure I'd have liked the bacon butty (sorry I think it sounded posher than that! ) if we'd had time. Maybe next year.....

What a welcome find at Strete Gate, Slapton Sands. Kim's personality shone from her refreshment trailer as she gamely stood up to the cold and wet on a changeable March Tuesday. We were a family of 6 walking two Labs and we all enjoyed our drinks, especially Grandmother and Grandchildren who had luxury hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. There were snacks available too but we had to save ourselves for later. Dog friendly and people friendly, right on the beach, with parking nearby - definitely worth a visit.

Stopped for a quick cappucino and a cake on the beach. Absolutely fab. Customer service was brill. ☺ Would defo go again.

After a long walk among the flowers of Slapton beach we were desperate for a coffee and we found this mobile beach cafe. Really good coffee, all types,and much else besides. All served by a most helpful lady.

We visit this beautiful area regularly. Slapton Ley is something of a seaside oasis. But nearby, even closer to the ocean, is this fabulous jewell of a place. Not so much a shack as a micro caravan/trailer - but this ' mobile ' cafe does PROPER coffee ...... and then some. Now located quite literally ON the beach. They do some very tasty accompaniments too. There is also now seating to drink in the view. Staff are great (a young lad served us). Minimal but brilliant with real character and a top spot.

Great place to stop for refreshments in a beautiful setting. Great coffe and good and not over priced. Lovely lady serving, she even helped me after my husband had a nasty fall with water to clean his wounds.

We visited this cafe shack today after walking our dogs on Slapton beach. The whole family loved the place and the very friendly lady serving. The coffee was fantastic I'm told while I had a lovely elderberry and echinachia tea. The toasted banana bread was epic. We will make this a regular pit stop.

Staying for a few days locally and have now made 3 visits.

Very good tea and excellent cakes, friendly service in a lovely location. Well worth stopping off. There are loos nearby and a big car park.
