Been twice in two days. Was so impressed the first time that I went back the next day with my husband for lunch despite the number of cafes and coffee shops in town. Great coffee and hot drinks menu. The bacon sandwiches are freshly cooked, served piping hot in local sourdough. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Couldn’t find fault with anything we ordered.

We discovered almond croissants for the first time here - a gift we'll never forget! Lovely little cafe for tea and cake. Lovely a Earl Grey in a very special pot. It's small but you can use local public toilets nearby, and we didn't have any trouble getting a seat. Would definitely visit again if in the area. Get there early for the croissants.

A great little coffee place. They are awful chatty so you might be waiting a while for the person in front to be served. The espresso is worth waiting for as decent coffee is thin on the ground in these parts. Have an Eccles cake - the best I have tasted!

It was pure luck we found this tiny coffee shop whilst on a day visit to Dartmouth. It was only because the first establishment we tried didn’t allow dogs that we carried on walking, and thank goodness we did! Fantastic coffee, proper tea, dog friendly and some of the best cakes we’ve ever tasted (and we’ve tasted a lot!!) . It was all so good that we just had to go back again a few hours later for a further caffeine hit! Not to be missed!

Fantastic little coffee shop. I very much enjoyed my maple cinnamon latte which to my delight used actual maple syrup. I used to be a Barista for 6 years and it's rare I find a coffee shop that knows what they're doing. It was great to see that today's barista, properly purged the steam arm, properly cleaned the basket of the group handle and properly tamped the ground coffee. Highly recommend.

Awesome little independent cafe. Caters really well to non dairy options. Has Henny & Joes Chai as well which is our favourite. Great prices as well. Fabulous cookies.

We had coffee & cake for two on a weekday. Small cafe but seats inside & two benches outside. Excellent faultless coffee. Nice choice of cakes & what we chose was very tasty. This place did not disappoint. Nice attention to detail too, decoration on top of coffee, forks & serviettes with cake, cake on baking paper. Lovely & so glad we made the effort to find.

We entered during a downpour and we made to feel welcome despite having brought in some puddles. Fresh, well balance flat whites and a yummy apple crumble were just the thing for a rainy on-off day. Voyager coffee is used very well here. Nicola was welcoming to all who entered. Worth finding it in the town.

The best coffee in Dartmouth- Nikala clearly has a passion for what she does using the best coffee beans, various milks& locally (& home) produced cakes. Slightly off the beaten track but worth spending 5 mins finding her!

Authentic artisan coffee - love the ‘chocolate bark’ on my cappuccino! and it’s open on a Monday. Not more coffee free Mondays

Nicola was a warm and friendly server. The coffee was amazing, I had this excellent (and homemade!) plum and frangipane slice. All in all, a great visit!

Went in on a wet Tuesday afternoon in December and the coffee made me feel like I was walking through Rome on an early summer morning. The coffee was magnificent, full of flavour, and in a lovely location. They had lovely seasonal coffees to go along with their traditional menu. When I went in there was a lot of happy customers enjoying their coffee/tea, and the service came with a friendly smile. Can't wait till I make a trip to Dartmouth again.

We called in a few times whilst we were holidaying in Dartmouth. The lady who runs the cafe is lovely. The coffee is excellent and my wife said the almond croissants were the best she has ever had.

Great coffee shop with simple menu - very tasty toasted sandwiches which we sampled and range of cakes which, sadly, we didn’t.

Tucked away in a surprisingly quiet corner of Dartmouth close to the market. The menu is not extensive but the food is fresh and tasty and if you enjoy your coffee you won’t be disappointed. All topped off with warm and friendly service. Give it go.

Came across Bespoke on a leisurely walk around Dartmouth and popped in for an iced coffee, mocha, and kids hot chocolate. The iced coffee was amazing - very good quality and taste - and the owner was very friendly. I also picked up the last jar of Smoked chilli peanut butter which was made locally in Exeter! Great selection of cake which all looked very tasty.. we’ll be back!

Great coffee, lovely staff, super knowledgeable. This is a little oasis for coffee lovers in Dartmouth. Seek it out (only a few metres from the market), you won't be disappointed. In addition they have a great selection of cakes and treats, including gluten free options. A genuine gem.

SADLY I FOUND A HAIR IN MY CHOCOLATE BROWNIE. TOLD THE LADY IN THE CAFE WHO APOLOGISED AND SHRUGGED, BUT DIDN'T OFFER A REFUND OR A DIFFERENT PIECE OF CAKE. WON'T BOTHER TO EAT THERE AGAIN AS INCIDENT MADE FEEL SLIGHTLY NAUSEOUS.

What a delightful place to go for breakfast , we wandered in mainly because everywhere else didn’t open until 10am , We were very warmly welcomed , unfortunately I didn’t get the ladies name who looked after us , but she was friendly. Quirky nothing was to much trouble and the full English was freshly cooked ( we were told that because the sausages were freshly cooked there would be a wait ) Delicious local ingredients, the bubble and squeak was amazing . Wonderful coffee

We visit The Flavell for coffee and cake quite often, and are always happy with the service and food. On this particular day we had lunch, soup which was a bit thin and bread, but quite nice. While I was drinking a coffee after my lunch, I looked towards the preparing area and to my surprise watched one of the ladies making a sandwich, she picked up the filling with her bare hands plus the salad and put it together between the slices of bread. While you might do this at home, I would have thought preparing food for customers would necessitate wearing some sort of hand covering. This has put me off eating sandwiches at the Flavel, and will stick to coffee and cake in future. At least the cakes are served from their display with tongs.
