Finally went in and as hoped, had a wonderful experience. You won't find any processed food here, only freshly made traditional food we all used to know and love; real vegetables, bread made in-house and all cooked fresh to order. The food was wonderful. Had the veg discovery plate and every last mouthful was delicious. The restaurant is clean and homely - it's all about the food. We were offered plates and cutlery but chose to eat using just the bread to take the food. Staff very nice, lots of customers from East Africa enjoying a family meal and I will absolutely be back. Great food, also a good dining experience and reasonably priced. Fresh, home made food to be appreciated.

First experience of east african food, and had vegetarian platter with chicken wot. The bread was extraordinary and delicious complementing the other food. Piped ethnic music was pleasurable and staff and service were excellent. We will be back.

An absolute gem of a restaurant. The food and service were both outstanding. I’ve never eaten east Adrian food before and I was blown away by the flavours. We had the vegetarian sharing platter, a beef and a lamb curry. All dishes were delicious. Very reasonable prices and a very kind and courteous waiter. Can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!

This is a hidden gem of a treasure and we are delighted to have found it. The food, service and atmosphere are 5*****and the prices are very fair. A veggie sharing platter with loads of injera could feed 1-2 people for £12! We did add 2 extra dishes as we were 4 people and we were stuffed!! Don’t miss out on the family style roasted coffee served with a huge bowl of popcorn. We will be rushing back soon and often!! Veggie options and injera is gluten free- win win!!

Our fourth visit I think. Great service. Brilliant Ethiopian food at sensible prices. Choice of 3 Ethiopia/Eritrean beers..including Melotti style from Asmara. Now definitely our go to place when in UK. We..5 of us shared Doro Wat, fasting beyenetu and tibs.

Such delicious food and really good prices. We had enough food to leave two of us stuffed plus 2 beers each and the bill was £36! The food is fresh, tasty and the whole experience very authentically Ethiopian. Staff also very friendly and attentive. We'll be back again!

Great unexpected food and lovely people. Popped in here for a quick snack and was very happy that I did. Wasn’t quite sure from the outside but the food was excellent!

First time visit to this unimposing but cheerful and characterful restaurant in an unlikely location. The staff were friendly and very welcoming, also happy to advise on the small but varied menu. The prices very economical, 2 of us eat a generous and delicious meal with a beer for under £30. Perfect for a lunch time or evening meal, most certainly won't be our last visit.

I was waiting for a ferry and needed to do some grocery shopping. I found Aldi , parked there, did my shopping and then looked for a restaurant. There are several kebab shops nearby but couldn’t find an Indian, which was what I really fancied. This restaurant did not look the most appealing but I plucked up courage and went in. A nice welcome. Menu mystery but I chose a chicken dish and a beer. The food arrived quickly and was served on a large plate with a colorful basket cover. The food was served in a large pancake: chicken legs in a spicy sauce and was accompanied by rolled pancake which I used to scoop up the food - no cutlery. It was very well cooked and tasty with a blend of spices I hadn’t tasted before. I could see into the kitchen which looked very clean. Good food, friendly helpful service, good value
