Today I visited this place after finding it on Uber Eats, and I can honestly say that the experience was amazing, one of the best I’ve had in the UK. The food was incredible, and the customer service was top (Rosa is amazing and lovely). It’s a very warm and welcoming place, you’ll truly feel like you’re in Venezuela. We had Caracas Arepas, Ávila, and Sifrina, as well as tequeños, empanadas de carne, and for drinks, the typical Polar beer and Chicha.
I highly recommend it 100%. I’d come back to Portsmouth just to eat here!

Gem of a Turkish takeaway. Excellent meat quality and their Turkish bread is absolutely fantastic. Very fast delivery service. Would certainly recommend this establishment.
Having been to Vietnam over the summer, we have been trying to find somewhere with authentic food and this place did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious and my personal favorite was the green papaya salad which instantly transported me back.
We did have some issues, hence the 4*. Service was slow, with starters being sat finished in front of us for almost 15 minutes (bearing in mind there were only two other tables there and one waitress was seen sat on her phone scrolling). We waited 15 minutes for our banh mi to come out and mine was served with the bottom burnt - cue a further wait for another to be served. We did appreciate the staff apologising for the wait.
I'm sure we were just unfortunate based on the amazing reviews we saw prior to booking, we'd definitely still try this place again!
Had a lovely brunch, with my family, at Melodys today. Portion sizes were very generous, and the food was delicious. So nice to see a genuine independent cafe, still run by a local person who cares for her community.
Since my first visit in March I have been several times, in fact every time I pop over to Southsea! This place surpasses labels, and is pure, unadulterated excellence. The surrroundings and the vibe exude well-being, and are the perfect accompaniment to the mind-boggling food and refreshments. If you want to feel cared-for, come here!
Everything I have sampled has been a revelation in taste; perfectly-combined flavours in no way overwhelming or heavy. The subtlety of the cakes, coffees and buscuits is second-to-none and even the "pupcakes" look mouthwateringly tempting!
All staff are superb; contributing calm and nurturing atmosphere which clearly must origionate from the top...

Eastney Coffee and Breakfast serves a fantastic burger! It was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, with fresh toppings and a soft, sturdy bun. The crispy crust on the side was a great touch. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a perfect spot for a casual bite. Highly recommend!
Best cafe around. Don’t be fooled by Kye’s cafe being in a builders merchant that you’re going to receive a greasy horrible breakfast. All good ingredients and great service.
Wonderful freshly cooked food and served with a smile. Very accommodating for my vegan friend and spotlessly clean. Food is delicious and full of flavour and worth a little wait whilst they cook it. The Venezuelan shandy was super refreshing as were the juices.
I didn’t even know this wonderful shop was here. They closed at 3 but I was desperate for a colouring gel and the lovely owner stayed open until 3.45 for me to get there. Amazing shop amazing owner. Thank you…you have gained a new customer in me and my friends 😊
The food was ok, but the service was embarrassingly slow. When we arrived there were 3 other tables with guests. We waited over 40 minutes for 12 pieces of sushi. Tasted fine but having waited that long, most food would! We then needed to wait another 20mins after that for fish and chips.
Staff apologised for the delay and gave us copious tap water. Once food was served no one checked to see if we were ok or needed anything more.
There are better places to go for a dinner of that standard.
First experience of east african food, and had vegetarian platter with chicken wot. The bread was extraordinary and delicious complementing the other food. Piped ethnic music was pleasurable and staff and service were excellent. We will be back.
