The best restaurants serving British food in Portsmouth South East

what a delight for my sweet tooth, great cakes great coffee, grea, we certainly enjoyed ourselves... will be back

The food was ok, but the service was embarrassingly slow. When we arrived there were 3 other tables with guests. We waited over 40 minutes for 12 pieces of sushi. Tasted fine but having waited that long, most food would! We then needed to wait another 20mins after that for fish and chips. Staff apologised for the delay and gave us copious tap water. Once food was served no one checked to see if we were ok or needed anything more. There are better places to go for a dinner of that standard.

Incredible service wonderful staff and really nice drinks 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the area. Are also dog friendly and serve dog ice cream for our four legged friends

Today I visited the southsea positive eats on Palmerston Road. From first entering to leaving the whole experience was brilliant. So fresh & clean in there and the girls working were so friendly and gave me advice in what to order etc. I had a boost juice & a build your own bowl which was so worth the price. All fresh ingredients and so much flavour. Will definitely be visiting again!

Had breakfast baguettes with coffee. Tasty and freshly prepared by a friendly member of staff. A welcome result having been let down by the premier inn breakfast!

Beautiful restaurant staff very professional

Very thankful for the team squeezing us in during a busy Sunday brunch service. I had the Ultimate BLT which lived up to its name, and then some. We were also glad we ordered two of their "Southsea Buns" on arrival (think zesty raspberry coulis and toasted almond butter in the style of a cinnamon swirl), as they'd all gone by the time we'd finished our brunch. Excellent coffee, very flavourful Earl Grey tea. Will definitely return (with a table booking!) on our next visit to Portsmouth / Southsea.

I went there for breakfast it was lovely the service was fast, less than 10 mins and the food was perfect I wish I had more.

Came here last Sunday for lunch. Initially was a little disappointed as wasn't aware the smokehouse menu wasn't available on the Sunday (it is only Sunday dinner ) I had the roast chicken and it was delicious , everything cooked to perfection , and flavours very nice! We usually opt for a carvery if going out for Sunday roast but this exceeded expectations and portion size was just right (regular) Look forward to the next visit & may try a Saturday to test out their other food :)

We came with our family on Christmas Day just wanted to say thank you for making the day really special for us all .

Pie and Vinyl is one of a kind - I’ve popped in to browse the record collection / visit with my daughter who is a music nut, with my Son to watch and listen to Dan Croll who played an acoustic set. Couldn’t believe it when Wendy James from Transvision Vamp fame sang to a small intimate group recently. It’s a friendly and unpretentious place. I still can’t get my head around it. Such a unique and quirky visits; sitting eating pie, browsing records and Castle street and the location is fab too. Do visit you won’t be disappointed.

Great night out was served by Lewis throughout the night and he was absolutely quality. Everyone drink he made was amazing, Great drinks and great prices

This spot proved to be great for an annual family lunch. Although they were really busy the staff were very attentive and skilfull. I cannot remember having better service anywhere .
