We had a recommendation to try the breakfast from a friend. I opted for the full English and my partner had the smoked salmon with poached eggs. You have to wait to be seated, but there’s plenty of space. There’s plenty of parking close by. We will have to return to try the high tea. The cakes looked wonderful.

Nice cafe with lots of seating. Clean and tidy, friendly staff Lovely selection of food to choose from. Very efficient cleaning after every table vacated ready for the next customers. You get a proper milky milkshake 💗 not those thick ice-cream sundaes that some places serve up. Delicious Hot Chocolate with cream if you want it.

Excellent! Food was fantastic, good service, hot chocolates were delicious. It's a small space if you eat in, so a little cramped and noisy fyi if you need space. But well worth it, would go again. The veggie option was different when we actually sat down to what was on the online menu but was really good all the same. Partner had a burger which was huge and they did really good chips!

We came to have the bottomless sharing platter, we were looked after very nice and the food was lovely and I was able to have a gluten free option. Definitely going to try again

Visit Portsmouth around 4 times a year for work, always make sure to sneak a visit here! Me and my wife came last week and as always we’re not disappointed. Smash patties are excellent, great crust and juicy. Side of chicken tenders were seasoned well. I think the value for money is absolutely spot on, portion size is reflected in price and quality. Surprised to see a couple of bad reviews… certainly worth trying for yourself!!!

Initial good visit marred by piss-poor customer service. Popped in on Sunday with the family for a quick bite and a couple of beverages after attending the King's Theatre Open Day. Initially impressed having not visited Porters in a while. Experienced marred by Chef's fiddling the stock by cutting portion size. Minor issue... Menu said 6 chicken wings specifically and was served 5. On raising with the server however the response was poor. "Chef's changing the spec" is not a noteworthy excuse when the menu clearly states something else. Server didn't fixed the issue (clearly under the guidance of misgyided Chefs). Manager also did not attend to fix the issue... unclear as to if they were actually informed. Dissapointing response to a small service issue that could have been easily solved... just lead to frustration. Shame as food was good and bear choices excellent... won't be returning however as just can't trust the menu will be honoured. Suggest patrons check what dishes include in detail before ordering and paying.
