I always take my kids to the wacky warehouse (at least twice a week) and I have to say Debbie is a stand out - always welcoming, friendly and entertaining! She makes the Wacky what it is with her energy and enthusiasm! She is a real asset and it wouldn’t be the same without her x

This place is perfect for big groups and families. I couldn't believe how fast the food came out and there was 16 of us! It didn't cost too much and the kids burnt some energy in their play area. All the staff were great, but the waitress we had beginning with Z was awesome. Thank you for taking care of us.

Took a group of 23 for the festive lunch. The food was excellent and served in good time. We were never rushed and we were made to feel very welcome. Big thanks to Jack who helped me to organise the event. Definitely coming back soon.

Me and my friend regularly use the sovereigns due to it's great location and choice of drinks.The staff are fantastic and Michael is a font of knowledge, both general and local.Pop in over Christmas and see the staff resplendent in their Xmas jumpers.

Just to mention had a great time at Sovereigns on Monday evening before boarding the ferry, Michael was a great host, very communicative, knowledgeable and sociable, and all round good guy. Will always visit for a beer and food when in Portsmouth.

Had a fantastic fun morning at Sovereigns for breakfast with Santa. The team; especially Lisa and Debbie worked hard to make sure it ran smoothly and making sure the kids had fun and made happy memories! Well done, we all had a fab time and a lovely breakfast too!

Very generic. Need I say more? Edit: once my food arrived I'd like to commend chef Mike for at least serving it hot. The bar staff weren't aware that I could order an Abbot until I physically pointed at a bottle. Cheap? Yes. Cheerful? No. If you enjoy hungry horse or 'spoons, you'll love it. If you want a pub, stay clear. The bar staff was extremely nice though, and that's the reason the stars were up

We were staying in the Premier Inn next door after our journey to Portsmouth by ferry from Spain. Got ourselves booked into the hotel and went to Sovereigns The restaurant stopped serving meal at 9 so we couldn’t eat there. What we saw from others t food was excellent Michael was in the bar and Anita was putting up the Christmas decorations. Very festive. Went for breakfast this morning and couldn’t fault. Hubby had full English the plate was overflowing. I got a bacon sandwich which I had pined for 7 weeks whilst in Spain. Again staff were very attentive. All in all a big thumbs up from both of us.

We always have a fabulous time and a big thank to mollie for all the help.

Lovely evening. Came here with the family for dinner and had a great experience. As soon as we walked in the door the staff welcomed us. Michael the barman and Anita the waitress were extremely friendly and helpful. Food came out all together, was fresh, hot and delicious. After a few minutes Anita came back to check everything was ok with the meal. The manager was also very polite and friendly thought the evening. Definitely recommend and will definitely be returning soon - thank you.

Met family for breakfast before they left for the airport, very convenient to get on motorway. We always stop and have a meal there before getting ferry at ferry port.

Service is always great every time we visit as is our local. We came yesterday all waitresses are very polite and helpful, Daisy served us and was very chatty and kind talking to my kids about what they was colouring. It’s a very family friendly environment

Lisa and the team In wacky warehouse are amazing!! We attended the Annual Halloween party this Friday and they have gone above and beyond for all the children!! Amazing entertainer providing games and competition for the kids with brilliant prizes! Sweets when leaving and a huge portion of food for the kids to enjoy which was handed out and cleared so quick considering the amount of people who attended!! For the price this was a brilliant event for all as you don’t get many places of value anymore!! The ladies and gent staff were dressed up and really went all out to make sure the kids had the best time!! Thank you and we cannot wait for the Xmas eve celebrations! Well done staff of wacky sovereigns!!

Had breakfast this morning. Can’t believe how much you get on the plate for the money. Leanna was very helpful guiding us through the menu as my eye sight isn’t what it once was. We will be back again soon.

We visit often for breakfast and Leanna is always welcoming and gives us a great service. The breakfast is the best around for the price.

Came in with my family yesterday, served by daisy if i remember correctly brilliant service and was very happy to help, food was great and can’t complain with the price.

Lovely family restaurant goods always great value. Bar staff are quick paced so never waiting long. Table service also great Maisie im particular. Great atmosphere

I took my daughter for a meal recently and have to give massive credit to the young server I believe called Daisy. She went above and beyond, was extremely helpful and friendly and her service alone would encourage me to return.

The staff were absolutely amazing! Couldn’t have done more to help. Food was incredible and brought quickly, we didn’t have to wait long at all and communication from the serves was perfect. The young lady Daisy who served us was very helpful and patient with us and it was a perfect meal. Definitely be back!

I took my girlfriend here for a roast on Sunday. We were lucky enough to be served by a lovely young lady called Daisy. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and she had an enchanting smile. The food was fine and priced very competitively, My only comment is that I prefer my roast potatoes a little crispier. We will certainly be back again and would be happy to recommend this establishment to anyone in the area looking for a roast dinner.

Stayed in hotel above, came down here for dinner. Ordered lasagne, Never in all my life have I seen such atrocity..it came out 4 minutes after ordering and was swimming in juice?! It's a lasagne! don't even wanna know what was in it. Absolutely shocking

I stopped here for a couple of drinks to kill time before going to the port. Ideally located for that, just a 2min drive. It is quite large so plenty of seating. Inexpensive place for food and drink.

I have to order of the non gluten containing menu, very little choice, requested the cheeseburger, informed no buns, asked if they would reduce the price as not full meal, told no by a very rude bar maid and I had to check several times about blue light card which said you but also needed prompting to scan the qr code. Meal came and had to send back as it then came with chips, so ended up eating after my friends.

great service, always friendly staff, would recommend this place where ever we go. i see they have recently added new deals and added new things to there menu which is great as we come here so often it’s nice to get a change and fresh options, Michael and jack behind the bar always greets us with a friendly smile and is helpful when ever we have come in.

We regularly meet up here with friends for drinks, and also with the family for meals. I have always found the service to be be excellent, all the bar staff from the managers down very friendly and accommodating. The staff are always willing to adjust the food on the menu to your personal tastes, the food is always good value and of good quality.

Conveniently located near to the international port so we headed here for a drink and some food before or embarkment time.

Great place to go for a good breakfast at a great price (especially if you have a DDS or blue light card as you get 15% off)

Michael was pleasant & very helpful in serving drinks & helping with food choice. His attention to detail was very welcome. The food was superb - the best fish & chips we’ve had in ages and beautifully prepared apple/berry crumble. All very welcome & deeply appreciated.

Come into The Sovereigns what can I say about this place was amazing food was top notch tidy and clean Jack who works there went above and beyond when I asked about allergies bent over backwards to help I could not fault this place at all 100% recommend

Had a decent experience, food came out quite quick however it’s gone downhill as of revently. Paid 1.50 for one piece of garlic bread? Did make a complaint however you can get a whole loaf of garlic bread from Asda for a pound.

The drinks were great, so were some of the food ordered. The southern comfort texas toast was amazing as well as the wings with the Fred hot sauce. The steak was cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, the Jerk chicken and wings was a let down and we had to order and pay for another steak . Overall, the staff were nice and the pitcher cocktails and mocktails are amazing.

Food ok but the toilets are full of flies - literally 30+ flies everywhere in the gents toilets. Needs a serious deep clean!

I came in with the kids to meet my dad for breakfast and then took the kids in wacky warehouse for a little runaround. As usual service was quick, food was lovely and the kids had a great morning running about!

Came in on a busy Saturday during victorious festival and it was lovely! Food came super quick and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Maddie was great at looking after us and making sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend!

Would have given 5 stars but there is no tampon/pad machine which for a pub is pretty unusual. Food is delicious and the staff are super friendly and helpful.

Got to the Travelodge behind this place later than hoped so popped in for a drink at about 10.30pm. The place was empty and had the feeling of being about to close and probably would have been if we hadn’t walked in and spoiled any chance of an early finish for the staff. The barman, a short guy with short black hair and a mood to match his appearance greeted me by saying “what do you want?”…. we were clearly an inconvenience, he had no chat, no pleasant interaction, in fact he had all the personality of a cardboard cut-out. The decor was shabby and not in a chic way! Sticky tables, worn seats, grubby walls, give this place a miss. We won’t be back.

Both Jack and Jonjo very helpful today. I was always enjoy visiting the pub with my family and friends. The food is delicious and comes out fast. The atmosphere is extremely family friendly

We arrived quite late as we'd just got back off holiday. We wasn't expecting anything fantastic because it was so late and chef probably tired but the food was amazing we asked the young man that served us to express my gratitude to the chef which he did so yes we was very happy 😊

Went for breakfast - what a treat!! Great choice on the menu with some unexpected items, that Cornflake Chicken Strips were really good 😊 Service was quick and friendly, will definitely be coming back.

We came for dinner before graduation ceremonies @ the University. Food was delicious and served in a timely fashion. Michael made us some great drinks and the staff were very attentive. Will come again!

The staff were friendly knowledgeable very helpful and genuine people The food was some of the best I've had in a hungry horse pub. We were a group of 6.. all food arrived together and was hot. I had the kofta flatbread which was super tasty. Special thanks to Michael Neet and Molly. You are a credit to the company!!!

I go to Sovereigns quite often as I am always so impressed with the consistency of the food. Out of many green king pubs I visit , this one never seems to miss the target for good food and atmosphere. I come many times for breakfast as I work nights and the quality of food and speed of service is fantastic. The team are extremely friendly and helpful , especially Jack, even when it's at its busiest still finds the time to have a quick conversation with me without dipping out on service to other customers. The only squabble is , I miss the old style halloumni fries , they were amazing but have unfortunately been replaced with probably a more cost efficient product that sadly really misses the mark . But alas , no fault of the pub. The pub is very family friendly and in all my years of being a customer , I have never seen any drama or issues in there . Would deffo recommend for a quick bite and a cosy beer .
