Came with a friend and our three little ones. Maisie was so friendly and extremely helpful! Can’t wait to go back. Dinner was so tasty and Maisie’s was very attentive

Lovely evening. Came here with the family for dinner and had a great experience. As soon as we walked in the door the staff welcomed us. Michael the barman and Anita the waitress were extremely friendly and helpful. Food came out all together, was fresh, hot and delicious. After a few minutes Anita came back to check everything was ok with the meal. The manager was also very polite and friendly thought the evening. Definitely recommend and will definitely be returning soon - thank you.

We were staying in the Premier Inn next door after our journey to Portsmouth by ferry from Spain. Got ourselves booked into the hotel and went to Sovereigns The restaurant stopped serving meal at 9 so we couldn’t eat there. What we saw from others t food was excellent Michael was in the bar and Anita was putting up the Christmas decorations. Very festive. Went for breakfast this morning and couldn’t fault. Hubby had full English the plate was overflowing. I got a bacon sandwich which I had pined for 7 weeks whilst in Spain. Again staff were very attentive. All in all a big thumbs up from both of us.

Absolutely love it here! The soft play is amazing for my daughter and the staff are always lovely and friendly and helpful. We also ate in the restaurant where all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful especially our server Michael was so unbelievably lovely and really went above and beyond for us and made us feel so welcome! Thanks for having us, looking forward to our next visit!

Excellent service with nice friendly staff. Very reasonable priced food that was freshly cooked. Very clean and tidy and well presented. Huge choice on the menu and good drinks prices

Come into The Sovereigns what can I say about this place was amazing food was top notch tidy and clean Jack who works there went above and beyond when I asked about allergies bent over backwards to help I could not fault this place at all 100% recommend

Had a decent experience, food came out quite quick however it’s gone downhill as of revently. Paid 1.50 for one piece of garlic bread? Did make a complaint however you can get a whole loaf of garlic bread from Asda for a pound.

The drinks were great, so were some of the food ordered. The southern comfort texas toast was amazing as well as the wings with the Fred hot sauce. The steak was cooked to perfection. Unfortunately, the Jerk chicken and wings was a let down and we had to order and pay for another steak . Overall, the staff were nice and the pitcher cocktails and mocktails are amazing.

I came in with the kids to meet my dad for breakfast and then took the kids in wacky warehouse for a little runaround. As usual service was quick, food was lovely and the kids had a great morning running about!

Food ok but the toilets are full of flies - literally 30+ flies everywhere in the gents toilets. Needs a serious deep clean!

Came in on a busy Saturday during victorious festival and it was lovely! Food came super quick and the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Maddie was great at looking after us and making sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend!

Would have given 5 stars but there is no tampon/pad machine which for a pub is pretty unusual. Food is delicious and the staff are super friendly and helpful.

Got to the Travelodge behind this place later than hoped so popped in for a drink at about 10.30pm. The place was empty and had the feeling of being about to close and probably would have been if we hadn’t walked in and spoiled any chance of an early finish for the staff. The barman, a short guy with short black hair and a mood to match his appearance greeted me by saying “what do you want?”…. we were clearly an inconvenience, he had no chat, no pleasant interaction, in fact he had all the personality of a cardboard cut-out. The decor was shabby and not in a chic way! Sticky tables, worn seats, grubby walls, give this place a miss. We won’t be back.

Both Jack and Jonjo very helpful today. I was always enjoy visiting the pub with my family and friends. The food is delicious and comes out fast. The atmosphere is extremely family friendly

The wacky warehouse is so amazing I highly recommend service smiles on their face was lovely amazing food at a great price welcoming would go again becoming my favourite place would recommend going there 🤗 AMAZING!!!!! We took a family day out and it was the best day ever the day I need, food was amazing glad my partner choice the right place definitely want to go there again amazing service with smiles on their faces and my baby was so welcomed it felt amazing 🥰🤗🙌🏻 highly recommend going their would love to thank Deborah of the wacky warehouse for making my daughters day so special

We arrived quite late as we'd just got back off holiday. We wasn't expecting anything fantastic because it was so late and chef probably tired but the food was amazing we asked the young man that served us to express my gratitude to the chef which he did so yes we was very happy 😊

Went for breakfast - what a treat!! Great choice on the menu with some unexpected items, that Cornflake Chicken Strips were really good 😊 Service was quick and friendly, will definitely be coming back.

We came for dinner before graduation ceremonies @ the University. Food was delicious and served in a timely fashion. Michael made us some great drinks and the staff were very attentive. Will come again!

The staff were friendly knowledgeable very helpful and genuine people The food was some of the best I've had in a hungry horse pub. We were a group of 6.. all food arrived together and was hot. I had the kofta flatbread which was super tasty. Special thanks to Michael Neet and Molly. You are a credit to the company!!!

Had diner at 6pm so early and pub wasn’t busy. Staff very attentive, order came quick and food was hot. Just wanted some quick food before ferry sailing…I’d come again for the same. Place could do with an update…

Went in for breakfast with my family Sunday morning and was served by a lovely young lady called Grace. She was friendly with a welcoming smile and nothing was too much trouble for her. Breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend

I go to Sovereigns quite often as I am always so impressed with the consistency of the food. Out of many green king pubs I visit , this one never seems to miss the target for good food and atmosphere. I come many times for breakfast as I work nights and the quality of food and speed of service is fantastic. The team are extremely friendly and helpful , especially Jack, even when it's at its busiest still finds the time to have a quick conversation with me without dipping out on service to other customers. The only squabble is , I miss the old style halloumni fries , they were amazing but have unfortunately been replaced with probably a more cost efficient product that sadly really misses the mark . But alas , no fault of the pub. The pub is very family friendly and in all my years of being a customer , I have never seen any drama or issues in there . Would deffo recommend for a quick bite and a cosy beer .

Always friendly & theres never been an issue removing food items i've an intolerance to from dishes. I just hope they get a makeover soon as they deserve it

Been coming to sovereign kingstone crescent with our ladies and gentlemen from my art group for a good few months and the service from jack and leanna is above and beyond always goes above for us would definitely recommend them thank you for our lovely service see you soon

Very difficult to fine,signposting was awful. Went with family to the playzone here and to eat. The food was okay, we had to ask for our desserts to be bought out. The play area is quite expensive for the size of it. There wasn't space between the tables when all the kids had dumped their coats and shoes on the floor. There should be somewhere to store these. No ambience whatsoever. There are better kid playzones I the area

The staff in the sovereigns are absolutely wonderful. Maddie and Jack cannot do enough for their customers. They are so friendly and helpful. My elderly mother was unsure of what to order and Maddie spent time with her made her feel comfortable. We would recommend this restaurant. 5 stars

Nice place and atmosphere went here for my daughter’s 16th birthday and we all enjoyed it the food was great. The member of staff Mike was very polite and very well mannered and very helpful when needed to ask anything.

This is our regular meet up point and we come at least 6 times a year. We are always really impressed with the friendly and helpful staff and the food is always excellent and good value. Today we received excellent service from Michael, who went above and beyond to help me with my order and had the patience of a saint. He even bought our coffees over to the table.

Food was just about OK, and the staff were pleasant. However, the whole place is scruffy and grubby and either needs a refurbishment, or a thoroughly good clean. Sticky menus and tables, and allowing kids to ride round on scooters inside are definite no nos. We won't be coming back.

Food was absolutely delicious three of us all our different meals and everyone was perfect atmosphere was lovely and the staff were lovely

Went back here after not having been for a while, had a great meal, service was great too… Emma was really helpful - nothing was too much.

First time at the sovereigns, food was lovely and great value for money! All staff were helpful and friendly, i think we were served by Jack who was a great help! Kids loved the play area, will be back for sure!

An amazing lunch, food was absolutely delicious. The waitress (I think her name was leanna) was very knowledgeable about the menu for a picky eater like myself. Very accommodating and clean restaurant, will be returning very soon. Food service was quick and efficient, can’t fault it. 100% recommend. Thank you guys for a pleasant and enjoyable lunch!
