Good food, Excellent service, but the 'Wacky Warehouse' part draws families with young children, frequently resulting in the sounds of crying kids during your meal.

Good pub grub nicely presented and resonabely priced. We had evening meal on Sunday so reasonably quiet. Nice steak cooked how we asked ,very enjoyable. We would have had breakfast there but late delivery of bacon and mushrooms ....shock horror so had to walk up the road. Situated in complex with Travel lodge upstairs so ideal for overnight stop-over.

Hhm, haven’t been in for a while, refit looks ok but table location in some areas a bit iffy- big group blocking exit and bar- not their fault to be fair but tables need shifting! Food - we ordered “ mini” mixed grills- it was okay, chicken seemed odd, like it had water added to it ?! The rest was ok, eggs were runny- so that’s always good! Plates were collected- my husband said thanks to the young man who took them- his response- yeah right! No check back on food, no real sense anyone cared :(

Had a superb breakfast with our granddaughter in Wacky Warehouse. Always a warm welcome and Debbie and Jess are so accommodating. Our granddaughter loves the arts and craft corner where Jess interacts with enthusiasm and care with the children. Please keep this area going. Well done guys!

Had a fantastic breakfast here on Saturday morning. Staff very friendly and polite. Great price too, and they accept Blue Light Card. The only disappointment was one slice of black pudding for 79p. Would have expected a couple of slices for that price. Otherwise, great!

Been in a few times recently with friends for drinks and a meal, food is also tasty and fresh, bar staff are always lovely.

We visited Sovereigns for Lunch as a Couple and my Partner and I were thoroughly impressed. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, plus the food arrived in good time and was PIPING hot. We both ordered from the Monday £9 Grill option but had the 8oz Smothered Steak Sizzler (which was an extra £2) and the Full Monty Mixed Grill which was the same, so altogether it was £22 for both Grill meals which is a bargain!!! We also had 2 for £10 on the Cocktails. The Steak on the Smothered Steak Sizzler was cooked to perfection and was the best cooked Steak my Partner had ever had (she likes her Steak Rare) and my Mixed Grill was super tasty, the Chicken was juicy, and the Steak was cooked perfect for me (I like it Well Done) We will be visiting here again, and you certainly should too! It did not disappoint and hats off to the staff!

Decent priced breakfast and good service plenty of tables not be of a evening so can only review the morning atmosphere

Refurb is so much brighter and more comfortable. My twins absolutely love it here. It’s a safe environment with lots of space. Food is good and hot drinks were refillable. Debbie and Jess always so friendly, engaging with the kids, keeping the place really clean and seem happy to work here. Would recommend !

Fantastic refit. We visit here a couple of times a year when we stay in the Travelodge next door on our way to France. We were last here in October and the place was looking a little tired. Not surprised as it's a very busy place. Really pleased with the refurb this time. It makes a huge difference. The staff, as always are great, always pleasant and friendly. The food is good value and plentiful. The surroundings are now really good. So pleased, looking forward to a return visit in a few months time

Room clean staff all excellent (Kim and colleague especially helpful. room key useless for two days despite staff eventually coming up to try it. Breakfast poor (5/10) not hot and leather toast. Not living up to photograph evening meal of fish and chips very good but chips needed longer cooking time. Good value for money in general.

The Sovereigns has just been refurbished and this is my friends and mine first time back. It is looking very nice and the staff are as friendly as before, but most of all the food is very delicious 😋

Fabulous Karaoke venue. Lots of stars shining tonight. Great DJ friendly staff. We felt looked after .

Revisited Sovereigns after their refit and it looks amazing! Same excellent service from the staff who are always so helpful and friendly. Johnjo, Leanna and Ali are so welcoming and always ensure the customers are well looked after. The food is always good would highly recommend.

We love Soverigns, the service is impeccable, staff are always friendly and welcoming. Food is exceptional value and menu variety is vast. Since the refurbishment it is open planned and it feels more welcoming.

Today was greeted by 2 ladies Debbie and Jess, who were very welcoming and happy to be open, was excellent to see the wacky back in full swing, kids able to run around play and be free in a happy safe environment. Jess was very helpful as another family were eating and had a young baby with them upset Jess managed to entertain the baby while the family were able to eat there meal hot, was very warming to know they will help all.. Toilets now been refurbished which is excellent. Service was great Was a wacky time with the wacky staff

Refurb - wow! The place looks incredible and so clean. Really excited for the weekly entertainment, they have gone all out! Hope people now respect the place and keep it lovely. Emma, Jack, Mike, Jonjo and the team are amazing as always, always hospitable and good craic!

The refurbishment of the sovereigns is really lovely, clean, bright and spacious. Staff polite and helpful, definitely worth the wait of it closing down for couple weeks. All the best for continuing success

Good pub, currently a Hungry Horse. Has a childs play area at the back and some sweet machines. Good value for money and staff are normally really friendly

I had a good experience at this pub. The food was tasty. Our server, Bailey, was excellent. They were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to get such personable service, and it really added to the experience. Overall, a solid meal with great service. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

Had to give that score cause we got off the ferry on a Sunday evening to find the pub closed at 10.10pm, only wanted one drink to finish the night off. When google said it was open till 11pm quite dissapointing, especially as we had visited in Jan and had a good visit. When you have ferries docking at that time of night business sense seems like you should stay open, at least a little past 10 at least! Nevermind, pub next door got my coppers and will get my good review!

We had a great time here over the three days we were in Portsmouth. Its about to undergo renovation so it could soon be five stars all round!

Such fine dining, such elegant surroundings, such refinement, such service, such a perfect location. No wonder Gordon Ramsay goes there with his family, it's a wonderful place

Just came back from one of the worse meals ever. We had arrived at the pub to the manager arguing with the staff about a sign for kitchen staff wanted. Hindsight a great thing and should have left there and then. We ordered food. Sizzling steak which was anything but. Steak warm and tough, vegatables not cooked. at least the chips were ok. however, believe it or not,my steak knife was full of water in the handle and leaking to my food. Far play to the waitress, she replaced it. My wife had the Katsu banquet, which was worse. it seemed to have been reheated after a couple of days and the rice was the worst we had ever tasted. The place was dirty and in very much of a refurbishment and TLC. left hungry and very disappointed. Wouldn't come back.

Had steak and roast dinner in there this week and was lovely. Cooked to perfection. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Went back here after not having been for a while, had a great meal, service was great too… Emma was really helpful - nothing was too much.

Arrived off the ferry and checked into travelodge we went to sovereigns about 21.45pm the barman was very helpful made me a welcome mug of tea while my husband had a few pints , it was too late for food but he told us where the nearest chip shop was he really went above and beyond to help me as I had no idea how to order online.

Popped in for lunch and a drink before catching the ferry. Great selection of food and drinks. Food was very good, service great, and all reasonably priced. Michael went above and beyond when serving us, funny guy really made our day. Would recommend a visit.

Debbie is so lovely and welcoming everytime we come here. Always hardworking and deserves a raise.

Overall a good experience, Debbie is very friendly and always smiling. The overall place itself needs improving, did not find the soft play very clean and hygienic and dirt in lots of places. Toilets also need improving.
