Good pub, currently a Hungry Horse. Has a childs play area at the back and some sweet machines. Good value for money and staff are normally really friendly

I had a good experience at this pub. The food was tasty. Our server, Bailey, was excellent. They were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to get such personable service, and it really added to the experience. Overall, a solid meal with great service. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

Had to give that score cause we got off the ferry on a Sunday evening to find the pub closed at 10.10pm, only wanted one drink to finish the night off. When google said it was open till 11pm quite dissapointing, especially as we had visited in Jan and had a good visit. When you have ferries docking at that time of night business sense seems like you should stay open, at least a little past 10 at least! Nevermind, pub next door got my coppers and will get my good review!

We had a great time here over the three days we were in Portsmouth. Its about to undergo renovation so it could soon be five stars all round!

Such fine dining, such elegant surroundings, such refinement, such service, such a perfect location. No wonder Gordon Ramsay goes there with his family, it's a wonderful place

Just came back from one of the worse meals ever. We had arrived at the pub to the manager arguing with the staff about a sign for kitchen staff wanted. Hindsight a great thing and should have left there and then. We ordered food. Sizzling steak which was anything but. Steak warm and tough, vegatables not cooked. at least the chips were ok. however, believe it or not,my steak knife was full of water in the handle and leaking to my food. Far play to the waitress, she replaced it. My wife had the Katsu banquet, which was worse. it seemed to have been reheated after a couple of days and the rice was the worst we had ever tasted. The place was dirty and in very much of a refurbishment and TLC. left hungry and very disappointed. Wouldn't come back.

Had steak and roast dinner in there this week and was lovely. Cooked to perfection. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Arrived off the ferry and checked into travelodge we went to sovereigns about 21.45pm the barman was very helpful made me a welcome mug of tea while my husband had a few pints , it was too late for food but he told us where the nearest chip shop was he really went above and beyond to help me as I had no idea how to order online.

Overall a good experience, Debbie is very friendly and always smiling. The overall place itself needs improving, did not find the soft play very clean and hygienic and dirt in lots of places. Toilets also need improving.

I take my grandchildren, to Wacky warehouse every week, I just like to give Debbie a big shout out, for her amazing service, Debbie always go's above and beyond, for her customers, I see Debbie is a hard working.

We come to the wacky warehouse softplay regularly and we always have a lovely time. Debbie is always a lovely host when we visit, always makes us feel welcome. We would definitely recommend here to our friends and family.

Had the Sunday roast. Very nice food. The little ones played in the soft play area, and they had a very good time. Other food was brought out for the rest of the family. All looked good, and it must have been okay as there were clean plates with everyone. Kids' meals are good value

We will definitely be recommending sovereigns to our friends. The food was very tasty. The young lady (Zunita)that served us, was incredibly helpful in recommending a dessert.

After a fun-filled session at the Wacky Warehouse, we headed over to The Sovereigns pub for a bite to eat, and I’m so glad we did. Our experience was made even better thanks to the wonderful Leanna, who really went out of her way to make us feel comfortable, especially when it came to my autistic child. Leanna was incredibly thoughtful and patient. She took the time to explain the menu options in a calm and clear way, which really helped my child feel more at ease. She made sure to check in with us throughout our meal, always with a warm and understanding smile, ensuring we had everything we needed and that my child felt welcome in the environment. What really stood out was how Leanna made my child feel respected and valued, not just as a guest, but as an individual with specific needs. Take the kids here quite regularly as doesn’t cost a lot to play in whacky warehouse. Always buy the kids food as it is cheap and good quality! Had a really good time here today, kids enjoyed themselves. Food served with a smile - Debbie in whacky warehouse is so welcoming and the kids love her!

I recently visited Wacky Warehouse for a fun-filled outing with my little ones, and it certainly didn’t disappoint! The children absolutely loved the play area, which was great at keeping them entertained for hours. We also tried the Mix Up Meal, and the kids were thrilled with their chicken nuggets – tasty, generous portions, and excellent value for money. A special mention goes to Debbie, who provided outstanding customer service with a warm, friendly attitude that made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for a family day out!

Came for lunch in the wacky warehouse with my grandson. My grandson enjoyed the ball pits and Debbie was the most amazing host and looked after us extremely well. Thank you Debbie for an experience of a lifetime !!!! DEFO BE BACK!!!!

I always take my kids to the wacky warehouse (at least twice a week) and I have to say Debbie is a stand out - always welcoming, friendly and entertaining! She makes the Wacky what it is with her energy and enthusiasm! She is a real asset and it wouldn’t be the same without her x

This place is perfect for big groups and families. I couldn't believe how fast the food came out and there was 16 of us! It didn't cost too much and the kids burnt some energy in their play area. All the staff were great, but the waitress we had beginning with Z was awesome. Thank you for taking care of us.

We've been coming here since my kid was little and she and I both love it. Food good for value. We mostly come here for the space for the kids to play while I relax haha. Lisa is always wonderful and we look forward to seeing her ^^

Visited the sovereigns with family and must say I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the food was. The staff (lewis I think one of the gentlemans name was) were great and came over to check we were happy or needed anything. Will be visiting again for sure 👍

We booked Christmas Day Dinner as this was our first time eating out on Christmas Day I was very apprehensive, but I must say we loved our experience the service and the food was exceptional would definitely book again, a big hoorah to the staff they worked so hard to make sure we all had a lovely time.

Needs an update. Staff were great, always work hard. Food arrived promptly after ordering on the app.

Took a group of 23 for the festive lunch. The food was excellent and served in good time. We were never rushed and we were made to feel very welcome. Big thanks to Jack who helped me to organise the event. Definitely coming back soon.

Me and my friend regularly use the sovereigns due to it's great location and choice of drinks.The staff are fantastic and Michael is a font of knowledge, both general and local.Pop in over Christmas and see the staff resplendent in their Xmas jumpers.

Just to mention had a great time at Sovereigns on Monday evening before boarding the ferry, Michael was a great host, very communicative, knowledgeable and sociable, and all round good guy. Will always visit for a beer and food when in Portsmouth.

Had a fantastic fun morning at Sovereigns for breakfast with Santa. The team; especially Lisa and Debbie worked hard to make sure it ran smoothly and making sure the kids had fun and made happy memories! Well done, we all had a fab time and a lovely breakfast too!

Very generic. Need I say more? Edit: once my food arrived I'd like to commend chef Mike for at least serving it hot. The bar staff weren't aware that I could order an Abbot until I physically pointed at a bottle. Cheap? Yes. Cheerful? No. If you enjoy hungry horse or 'spoons, you'll love it. If you want a pub, stay clear. The bar staff was extremely nice though, and that's the reason the stars were up

We were staying in the Premier Inn next door after our journey to Portsmouth by ferry from Spain. Got ourselves booked into the hotel and went to Sovereigns The restaurant stopped serving meal at 9 so we couldn’t eat there. What we saw from others t food was excellent Michael was in the bar and Anita was putting up the Christmas decorations. Very festive. Went for breakfast this morning and couldn’t fault. Hubby had full English the plate was overflowing. I got a bacon sandwich which I had pined for 7 weeks whilst in Spain. Again staff were very attentive. All in all a big thumbs up from both of us.

Came with a friend and our three little ones. Maisie was so friendly and extremely helpful! Can’t wait to go back. Dinner was so tasty and Maisie’s was very attentive

Lovely evening. Came here with the family for dinner and had a great experience. As soon as we walked in the door the staff welcomed us. Michael the barman and Anita the waitress were extremely friendly and helpful. Food came out all together, was fresh, hot and delicious. After a few minutes Anita came back to check everything was ok with the meal. The manager was also very polite and friendly thought the evening. Definitely recommend and will definitely be returning soon - thank you.

Met family for breakfast before they left for the airport, very convenient to get on motorway. We always stop and have a meal there before getting ferry at ferry port.

Service is always great every time we visit as is our local. We came yesterday all waitresses are very polite and helpful, Daisy served us and was very chatty and kind talking to my kids about what they was colouring. It’s a very family friendly environment

Lisa and the team In wacky warehouse are amazing!! We attended the Annual Halloween party this Friday and they have gone above and beyond for all the children!! Amazing entertainer providing games and competition for the kids with brilliant prizes! Sweets when leaving and a huge portion of food for the kids to enjoy which was handed out and cleared so quick considering the amount of people who attended!! For the price this was a brilliant event for all as you don’t get many places of value anymore!! The ladies and gent staff were dressed up and really went all out to make sure the kids had the best time!! Thank you and we cannot wait for the Xmas eve celebrations! Well done staff of wacky sovereigns!!
