Sisters Cafe in Portsmouth

Lovely cafe, staff welcoming, menu diverse and well priced also has a good ‘vibe’ (great background music and not to loud not to quiet) My friend and I had the nicest of times and our food (and wine) was delicious, fresh and tasty. We will return. Can recommend 10 stars!

We regularly visit sisters for Sunday lunch or breakfast. The food and service always great with a friendly atmosphere, background music just right so overall good vibes!

Real gem of a place, been a good few times now with friends, family and for special occasions. Always lovely food, we keep saying we need to visit in the evening, as there’s lots of things going on. Always made welcome with our dog who gets a treat on his visit. Staff are attentive and special diets catered for. Definitely one of our favourite places to eat !

Decided to try an event night here, Jazz event with Alice Milburn. Alice was amazing. The small plates menu was delicious and large portions. The salt & pepper squid has to be the best we’ve ever had, just so tender and well cooked. Also the ribs, falling off the bone. Was almost full but the service was attentive and friendly. Will absolutely be back on event nights again. Have previously been for lunch & breakfast which was very good and loved the fact it is dog friendly Well done everyone involved for a lovely evening. Lovely bacon sandwich, decent tea and coffee. Nice interior to the cafe. However our waitress was rather miserable and this had a negative effect on our overall experience. Don't what the problem was but she couldn't smile nor partake in small chat. The girl who took over at about midday was much friendlier and cheerful. Shame Pleased that there were no dogs inside the cafe this time. Dogs are fine, but not inside restaurants, cafes and bars. ..and especially if there are young children there at the time.

Always an absolute delight to visit Sisters and have visited multiple times throughout this year. Have introduced many people to this lovely place and have always been served delicious food! Consistent, friendly staff make it a pleasure to visit. Dog friendly, clean and vibrant - I would highly recommend a visit!

The best English breakfast in Portsmouth in my opinion. We ate here for the first time today and were very impressed with everything. A very slick and well run restaurant. Thankyou.

Really lovely lunch, food was first class, we had fish finger sandwiches. The service was good and staff very friendly. We will definitely go back when in Southsea next.

Late breakfast for 3 adults one veggie and the dog! Delish... Great food, service & atmosphere. The clientele were enjoying an assortment of brekkie, drinks & lunch there was a really lovely atmosphere.

Lovely restaurant and a fabulous place for breakfast. Good coffee and an excellent breakfast menu - really well prepared food good and friendly service and an excellent play list including a great Cher track that I hadn’t heard for ages !

Came for Mother’s Day lunch, booked in advance and received an email saying they’d moved bookings around to fit us in. Already felt a bit like an inconvenience and it felt slightly rushed when we were in there, despite not all tables being full. Appreciate it must be stressful on such days but it spoilt the experience slightly. Otherwise the food was really delicious and lovely decor! Perhaps would come again at a more off-peak time.

Gorgous family run. Lovely selction of freshly made food. Dietry requests taken care of. Cosy. Bruch is fab! Nice friendly staff.

Excellent breakfast and service. The vegetarian breakfast is excellent really well prepared and cooked also excellent coffee with really friendly service.

We have been here for breakfast a few times and are never disappointed! The breakfasts are delicious and very reasonably priced, all the staff are lovely. We will definitely be returning!

Wow, wow and wow. Efficient, polite, professional, and phenomenal service from the moment we arrived and for our entire visit. In fact,every aspect of our visit was faultless. The food was outstanding. Top quality produce and cooked to absolute perfection. I strongly advise everyone to try Sisters, you will never want to eat anywhere else again. Love EVERYTHING about this place, and I will be returning very soon.

This is the second Sunday roast I’ve had here in three weeks - and both times the whole experience was wonderful! The first time with my friend and today with my Mum (we usually come here for breakkie). Both times I had the pork as it was so lovely, similarly adding the cauliflower cheese as a side which was mouth watering. The veggies and roast potatoes are both cooked to perfection, similarly the Yorkie was amazing, and the food arrived quickly considering hoe busy it was. The Malbec was beautiful and on today’s visit I was too full to enjoy the lovely sticky toffee pudding I had the other week - next time! The service is always friendly, polite and efficient. Highly recommend!

Amazing food and great amosphere. The roast are great. Lovely fluffy potatoes and the meat was cooked to perfection. Get yourselves booked in over christmas. You won’t be disappointed. We will defiantly be returning.

We came to sisters cafe and bar today where we were greeted by the amazing staff here. The food was absolutely lovely. It was served freshly cooked and the quality was amazing. The customer service was brilliant and really good value for money. Will definitely be returning very soon. 💗

We booked and had a wonderful Sunday roast which was great value for money. The staff were kind and always made sure our glasses were full! The gravy and roast potatoes were especially great. Couldn’t recommend the place enough. I would defiantly recommend to book before you go as it’s so popular.

I’ve always loved breakfast at this cafe but today we tried Sunday roast. Absolutely delicious. I had brisket and soooo much of it. Lovely proper veg and lush roasties. Huge yorkie too. Cauli cheese was extra but worth it to share. Reasonably priced too.

I accept I went at lunchtime on a Sunday when ever other person was ordering the roast which looked superb, but they were still offering their brunch menu so I ordered scrambled egg and sautéed mushrooms. The eggs had been microwaved (inexcusable) and the mushroom were almost black and chargrilled than sautéed. When I complained I was told that’s how their customers liked their eggs. Soft, fluffy scrambled eggs with a dash of cream and chives take only a couple of minutes to cook and mushrooms not much longer. If it was too many ch trouble to come ok brunch items at lunchtime simply stop serving them - Simple’s. If you are going to offer them at least cook them properly. That said staff were excellent and nice ambiance

Been to Sister's Cafe and Bar a few times for evening meals with music and its a gem that is not to be missed. Katie Rogers was signing Jazz/Swing to a super high standard and we had a selection of small plate meals and a number of bottles of a very good Malbec. Great evening venue. Nice atmosphere and the usual high standard of quality and innovative dishes. DONT FORGOT TO BOOK, as the evening events sell out quickly!

Very tasty breakfast I had the vegetarian service was good and good coffee. Atmosphere was very pleasant .

Non pretentious bistro style cafe. Breakfast served without fuss despite the pressure of heavy visitor numbers due Victorious. Friendly staff calm and patient.

Popped in for lunch, to a warm welcome. My spicy buffalo chicken sandwich with red cabbage and Stilton was delicious. My wife’s fishfinger sandwich was excellent too. Nicely presented and a pub quiz game on the table … which was fun. Good music in the background as well.

We visited Sisters Cafe for breakfast as we were visiting Southsea for Victorious festival. Service was friendly and prompt. We both had the full English breakfast, it was fantastic. All ingredients were fresh and great quality. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts, and they definitely set us up for the day! I wish we lived local to visit frequently but will definitely visit again if we are in Southsea again.

Another great breakfast ... scrambled eggs to die for best i have tasted....but saying that there full english is also delious ... highly recomended also great meeting place such a relaxed atmosphere

Very lovely meeting place with friends. Had scrambled eggs with toast and mushrooms...absolutely delicious!! I'd like to go back and try more of their menu in the future! Staff and atmosphere lovely.

My sister and I visited Sisters cafe and were amazed at not only the quality of food, but also the service. We had the full English breakfast and a latte. This is easily one of, if not the best breakfast we’ve ever eaten in Southsea. Cannot recommend this place enough! Such a warm and welcoming environment with fab music too.

We had a table of 9 for mothers day and my sons birthday. The roast beef is amazing and melts in the mouth with enough veg and gravy to go round 2 dinners each! I would recommend the cauliflower cheese to go with it. Most of us had the crumbles for desert, there were 3 to chose from! And again, so good. Not only is the food top notch but the service is really nice and friendly with a super cool sound track playing. This was our third visit and will definitely be returning soon 👌
