The best restaurants serving Indian food in Portsmouth South East

Food was amazing couldn’t fault a thing staff friendly and very helpful. Only soft drinks served but your more that welcome to bring your own alcohol

Knowing how much we enjoy Indian cuisine, my family gifted myself and my partner a takeaway from Breenons Kitchen as a birthday surprise. Wow what a feast!!! Every single dish was absolutely full of flavour and you could tell each one was fresh. I think the dhal was my personal favourite and the tempura vegetable sand array of very fresh, homemade chutneys were my partners. Would recommend to anyone in the area and appreciates good food!

Excellent food and great atmosphere. We shared the railway lamb, kokhani chicken, house chaat, gunpowder potatoes which were really flavourful and large portions throughout. Don't miss the pineapple chutney with poppadoms. Never had anything quite like it and was excellent. We will be back, thank you!

Simply the best Indian in Southsea (and there are a few), have had most of the chefs specials over the last year, all,stunning, can't be faulted

We started using this take away about 4 years ago and it was really the best curry ,but in the last year things began to change. It started with the bhaji cold or falling apart and greasy. Then the meat became less ,then the portion sizes. I have just had the worst Biriani ,could have done better with left overs from the fridge(think hey had the same idea ) and a very fluffed up ( half !) Portion . The curry sauce had what looked like frozen mixed veg mixed up in it ( including sweet corn ). So sorry guys you have gone from fab to drab ,we won't be back .

Decent curry last night with very good service. I wanted to try something different and was recommended a Kdsphin was very tasty. Served with mushroom rice, onion bhaji and of course a couple of tiger beers! More than happy to return if in area next time 👍

Great place, very cozy.... Service and price were excellent. My meal was a little too spicy for my liking but next time I will ask for it to be less so... nothing is too much trouble for them

Had a fantastic night last night at Kadirs with the family. The food was amazing the chef there has got to be one of the best in Portsmouth and I've been having curry in Portsmouth since i was 5 ! So over 50 years 😂. Staff and owner brilliant we usually have a take away but very nice to eat in and will do this more often i think, you can pick up your beer and wine opposite so it makes a very reasonable price for a night out. 👍🙌🙌🙌

I love this little restaurant. The staff here can’t do enough to make you feel welcome. We came with our family for a Christmas meal and we like this place because it’s not loud and hectic like other restaurants in town. This is a proper curry house. The staff really can’t do enough to make you feel welcome and the food was just amazing, just what you want when celebrating Christmas with the family some good curry and welcoming service. Thanks to all the staff at the star of Asia for looking after us, we will see you soon :)

Ordered via Deliveroo for the first time for 18 month, as food was below average the last time. As it say ‘The New Taj Mahal’ we thought we would try again. We’ve now been waiting 90minutes, for an ordered that said 45 minutes to arrive….. Food arrived and tastes fresh and really nice. Sometimes it’s worth waiting if the meal or good. And to be fair it’s really good.…
