Been coming here for 13 years never really had a bad curry, nearly always good, not today Pathia no real flavour, the chicken curries was just water, the Korma was very good as usual. Seen review that it has new owners ? maybe new chef, will try one more time in case its a one off. Off to the coop to get microwave curry.

Decided to give it a try as we were in Portsmouth overnight. Nice enough decor and some varied items on the menu as well as the usual Indian meals. We had mamas lamb and Gordon's prawns which were both nicely flavoured. The rice and the main were equally good. The aloo gobi was just boiled potatoes and cauli in a sauce which was disappointing. What we found strange was the ordering system - the waitress wouldn't take a verbal order. Instead you had to mark your selections on a menu card which was then collected - bit bizarre. What was naughty though and the reason wd won't return is the charity donation - although only a small amount this wasn't mentioned anywhere and there was nothing to say where this money was going to ??? Similarly a 10%service charge was added without this being advised at the time of ordering or as far as I could remember on the menu.

Party of 4, dinner on a Tuesday night at 1930. Nice house(building), front has a quiet bar, nice decor, no customers at 1930. We had reservations, were immediately seated and asked for drink preferences. Mixed drinks were good, beer selection ok. We had 3 small plate appetizers, shared among 4. Very good. 4 dinner selections, 1 came with rice, others had rice ala carte. Food presentation was excellent. Portions largish, and very good quality. Nice dessert selection, mostly ice creams or gelato. Bill was £190. Service charge 10.5%. We ate and drank well. Food and service was very good. I would give a 4.5 rating if possible, (I'm a very hard grader)

Where do I even start, as soon as I stepped my foot into the establishment, I felt a whooping wave of spices trailing from the kitchen - as I was guided down the marvellous marble tiles- and glanced at the extensive menu- I looked up to a beam of light refracting from the friendly waiters forehead, shining down like a spotlight. A trip to Antalya, might be ideal but unlike Antalya the intensive Indian aroma from the food accentuates in every bite- a moped straight to Mumbai, I will be visiting again- as I crave the delicacy of butter chicken every single night.
