Food was lovely definitely recommend

I have been a vegetarian for 30 years and they delivered butter chicken instead of paneer. I ate a mouthful of chicken before I realised. Absolutely disgusted. Called and they apologised for their mistake but said it was my fault for taking a bite of the chicken - if I’ve been a vegetarian for 30 years I should know better!!!! Really upset by both the fact I ate a mouthful of chicken (which ruined not only our meal but my whole evening) , and by the attitude of the Manager. Real shame.

Always quality prompt hot food

The curries were warm rather than hot. And got no naan bread with the chicken balti this time.

Excellent food, was delivered on time food remained hot, courier polite and friendly,was a credit to your team.

1 star for including free poppadum's and chutneys 1 star for delivery driver who was very polite -1 star for small portions of lamb tikka (3 cubes) & dhansak curry half filled plastic tub -2 stars for 1/4 of dhansak curry being oil

first time here.food was amazing!!!had a chicken ceylon and oriental fried rice.very tasty and large portions.would recommend to anyone...very nice staff also!!

Tasteless , very watery curries

was sent the wrong side to go with the biriyani...had veg curry rather than Tarka Dahl.... delivered 20 minutes early

Difficult review, hence 3 star, if it was the food 5 star all the way, absolutely loved it. But the delivery with just eat was nearly an hour late, took 1 hour 35 to arrive when quoted 40 mins. No real drama for me but could be a concern if people have plans. But again food top class

Thought I would try this curry shop for a change to my normal one. not good to be honest. Food was marked as delivered 10 minutes before it turned up. Poppadoms were stale, chips were unpleasant. Tarka Dhall was more oil than garlic/lentils. Mixed starter chicken was 'gently' cooked. Garlic naan was very doughy. I won't use again.

Late and missing chicken tikka masala

I’m diabetic and need to manage my eating times and so when an order is advising a time slot I know it’s estimated but mine was 45 minutes over the latest estimated time!!! No apology on arrival just handed me my food. If I knew it was gonna be 1 hour and 30 mins for my order I would of ordered elsewhere

Well I didn't expect that, ive been eating curry's in portsmouth for 40 years, and this is right up there with the original Jimmy's in fawcet rd back in the day. Fresh, good quality ingredients so full of flavour, much Respect to chef as this is where it comes from, amazing 👏

The starter was really poor. The meat was really tough which was a shame.

Everything was good as usual but this time around the pieces of chicken tikka in the biriany was smaller to other times and biriany wasn’t like usual was really greasy.

Food was excellent as always, delivery man very pleasant. One of the best takeaways on Just Eat A+++

Onion bajies were greasy and not very nice. The dansak tasted like it came out of jar! Disgusting won’t be going back

I’ve ordered from here many time And food is nice But tonite I had a dish with chicken and lamb But the lamb was very tough to chew and dishes was not hot just warm Rice was cold So didn’t enjoy my meal tonight we was disappointed

Great value for money always deliver on time or early

We ordered from Ginger and it’s been great. Their food is very tasty, never had any complaints at all. Food also tastes fresh and their Aloo Gobi is just amazing. My girlfriend is Indian and said it tasted as good as what her mom makes at home. A must try!!

AVOID THIS PLACE. Food is awful. Lamb was like dogmeat, the curry was watery and 90% sauce with 8 cubes of "lamb". Rice was lukewarm and naan was soggy. GO ELSEWHERE FOR BETTER FOOD.

wasted on many delivery food outlets, GINGER is the most satisfying, value for money. food is very good. Too many food outlets In Portsmouth not worthy. So glad to find Ginger,good quality and fair cost. keep going. x

Watered down Mango chutney, flavourless jalfrezi and bhajis. Pay the extra and go elsewhere

The vegetable biryani sauce smelt like cardamon, had to chuck it away, as the smell ruined it. The biryani itself was oily, but eatable, and the reshmi kebab was decent. I guess the discount makes up for the quality for the food. Wouldn’t order here again if I had to pay full price.

Food is really good never had a problem. My only criticism is that if the poppadom. You buy a portion of poppadom and literally get a single poppadom. I mean it's not major but considering most Indian takeaway give these for free with every order at this place you pay 99p per one which I was a little thrown back by. Good food none the less I had one of thier spiciest Currys which could in my opinion have just a bit more spice than it did but still had a kick just could of done with more.

Again another wonderful meal My husband was in hospital over Xmas and new year with pneumonia So wen he come he wanted Indian We love this place food is tasty Food is hot wen it arrives I would definitely recommend this takeaway it’s the best Well for me and family One criticism It’s expensive But I guess there all the same So we will have we we can afford it Simply the best Ginger

So I ordered my food on 9/12/ for my birthday I had king prawn masala But tails was left on so put me right off So then we ordered again and to my surprise I got a sorry king prawn without tails curry Now that’s wot I call customer care 100% So I will recommend this food You will not be disappointed Could do with more discount as it can be expensive but it’s nice Be back soon 🥰

Well I ordered a meal for my birthday today So got order in time First I had a rice missing Then I got myself tandoori king prawn masala went to eat it and the tails was still attached It made me feel bad so my meal was ruined I couldn’t eat it I’ve never had the tails on before It really put me off And I spent £73 So in a way my birthday was spoiled If you look I’ve ordered quite a few times

After getting order I’d felt I was wrong to go by the reviews. Had to warm up in microwave as was cold. But beside that I have to say one the best curries I have had😁

Normally the curry is delivered in a foil container which keeps the food nice and warm however this time it is in a plastic container which is only filled 3 quarters full. This is not the best curry house but is normally affordable and tasty, not this time normally it would feed two. This stingy oily small portion takes piss with the amount of money spent. If this is the new standard I won't be back

Both curry sauces tasted overwhelmingly like sunflower seeds. Food wasn’t even served up as it was unbearable.

Eaten before here, Nice to see that the sauces are proper Indian gravy bases. Not thickened with cornflour. Loads of taste and very authentic. Defo my go to indian

Although the food was late it certainly was worth the wait. Best curries my friend and I have had in a very long time. Because of the great taste for once there wasn't any waste.
