Without doubt the worst curry we have eaten in Portsmouth. It was, quite literally, disgusting. Watery, badly chopped veg, uncooked curry powder, lots of food colouring. Maybe it was a stand in chef - who knows. We will never be back to find out.

⭐☆☆☆☆ WORST TAKEAWAY EXPERIENCE EVER! I wish I could give zero stars. This was, without question, the worst Indian takeaway I have ever had the misfortune of ordering. Where do I even start? The food was a disaster from the moment I opened the containers. It was immediately clear that nothing was fresh – everything had that awful, soggy, half-thawed texture you get when food has been frozen for way too long and then defrosted horribly. The prawns and chicken... Don’t even get me started. It was rubbery, chewy, and tasted like it had been defrosted in a microwave by someone who gave up halfway or a toddler that was having playtime in the kitchen. The curries were either pools of greasy oil or diluted, watery sauces that were almost laughable. I’m not sure if they used water to thin it out because they were running low on ingredients or if they just have no idea how to cook. Either way, the result was unappetising, to put it politely. It looked like someone had mopped the floor with it before serving. I wouldn't even serve this to my dog. As for flavour? What flavour? I didn’t know it was possible for Indian food to be so bland and tasteless, but they managed it! The spices were either completely missing or so watered down that it felt like I was eating curry-flavoured soup made by someone who doesn't know what curry is. And the naan bread? More like naan playdough! Cold, rubbery, and impossible to chew. Had to bin it in the end. Ordered a peshwari and normal naan. Both had no flavour at all. I can only assume it was also from the freezer, pulled out a week too late. They couldn't even cook rice properly. Was like eating a bowl of water. To add insult to injury, the food was lukewarm at best when it arrived, and by the time I took a bite, I was regretting ever clicking ‘order’. Do yourself a favour: avoid this place like the plague. Unless, of course, you’re craving a badly defrosted, oily nightmare of a meal. I have no idea how anyone could rate this above one stars. Even if you had no tastebuds this would be offensive to the palette. What a waste of money. Spoke to the guy on the phone who sort of understood where I was coming from, said he'd speak to the management and "see what he can do" which obviously was just a way to palm me off and never hear from again.

Our kormas and rice were lovely, but I just wish they’d remember to send the mango chutney. They forget every time we order from them. I know other customers have had the same problem

I am extremely disappointed- we have had takeaways from here numerous times but my curry had not flavour, the meat was chewy and felt it was thrown in a pan. Not pleasant at all. My onion bhaji was dry, the poppadoms were stale. Very disappointed.

Got the wrong side dish and rice was either not cooked or stale as it was crunchy. The rest of the curry tasted nice.

Fast delivery, food was piping hot, rice was fluffy, poppadoms were crunchy and the mint sauce was the best I've ever tasted. Unfortunately the chicken tikka was dry and had some gristle, and the masala sauce was lovely and thick, but the coconut was far too chunky. I get that it can be grainy, but this was another level and very unpleasant. But that's just my preference. Others may like it that way.

Paanchi street kitchen never disappoints, food was hot, good quality ingredients and tastes amazing.

Received order which had free popadoms and mango chutney which appeared promising. Unfortunately the curry and mixed grill were old tough dry and went in the bin alongside the doughy naan which tasted sweet. Couldn’t be bothered to complain as was staying hotel so unlikely to use again . Sadly the high ratings were a reminder to do independent checks for real reviews elsewhere rather than trust the ones on here . Avoid

Will not be coming here again,recommended by a friend, ordered curry they said 45mins turned up in 10 mins ,ordered a jalfrasi no peppers plateful of onions hardly any sauce very dry onion bargee size of marbles at £4.25 what a total rip off didn't get free side dish,chicken ok, meager portions waste of £25 won't be ordering from here again very poor curry.

Plz never order food from this place. Its pathetic. Shame on u to spoil the authenticity of Indian food. The so called manchurian does not have manchurian balls in it. Paneer chilly has no paneer in it. Both the starters have only boiled potatoes and mushrooms in sweet gravies. The naan we ordered was so thick. Even the paneer butter masala had no paneer but only mushrooms and cabbage. Poor food. Never ever tasted such bad Indian food.

Delivered 20 minutes earlier than the app thought but also came with uncooked rice I mean uncooked rice!? I’ve order here so many times and never had issues but uncooked rice… you never even checked it - make me wonder what else isn’t checked, lost a customer - shame

This used to be my favourite Indian takeaway but since it’s gained so much popularity due to the Tuesday deal the food has suffered

we ordered 2 tikka meals but both didn't taste like chicken and was very hard and definitely wasn't tikka.

Absolutely amazing food, I tried the Tok Mishti as I saw lots of good reviews for it and it was delicious. The flavour reminds of pickled onion monster munch but with a good chilli kick!! The mixed rice with omelette was also good, lots of flavour in there too. I also got a free side dish and poppadoms and for £20 with free delivery, it's a real bargain. Definitely give these guys a try, it's worth it

Was super quick and portions are good. The Bombay potatoes and lamb were disappointing. Bombay potatoes lacked flavour. The lamb was tough and had sinew in it which made it difficult to eat. Made me question if it was lamb. Could have been mutton?! The rice was great. Fairly hot really means hot on this menu for us westerners tastebuds. Flavour of the curry was outstanding! Feedback is improve quality of meat and maybe work on the Bombay potatoes flavour a little and this would be a great place

Food was overall hot delivered which is great. Bombay potatoes were great. Curry sauce was mid, the prawns were overcooked and underwhelming which killed an otherwise very good delivery.

Food was fine - do however have to complain about the delivery driver who on this one occasion thought it was appropriate to park in the middle of the oncoming lane of traffic and then meekly ask me on the phone to walk halfway down the road to meet him at the car as he's blocking all the traffic. Understand parking in our area is a challenge at the best of times, but this was a bit ridiculous.

Absolutely amazing. We got a madras, a tikka masala which was unreal BUT the cheese naan was absolutely unbelievable. FULL of cheese and I mean ooooooooozing cheese. This was sensational. And we got a good few full poppadoms (free) which were delicious. The egg fried rice was SO tasty! I’ve had a lot of Indian takeaways and this was by far exceptional. Definitely going back. Thank you!! And the delivery man was lovely - we ordered through Just eat. The entirety of this was amazing. Thank you!!! And yuuuuuum!!!!!!
