I ordered the food at 12.45 am and the delivery time was said to be 35mins. After 25 mins I checked the order uber showed that you guys cancelled the order. Uber didn't mention that it cancelled the order. And one more thing I know you guys need to hide your mistakes from the public, for that don't tell me that I am lying. There is no point in that for me. I didn't even get a notification that a driver picked the order or he is on the way to deliver. I am not stupid to turn off my phone after ordering food at 1am. So please stop this stupidity and accept the mistakes you have done.

Absolute awful, tasteless bhajis, soggy pompadom, luke warm watery rice

First time take away, was beautiful! Chicken dansak was delicious and lentily, nicely spiced. Onion bahjis were superb. Good portions. Arrived piping hot delivered by friendly chap. Highly recommended.

Ordered spicy popadums, but only received plain ones, this is the 3rd time this has happened to me, a shame, because the quality of food is excellent

We’ve been coming to this restaurant for over a year and wouldn’t go anywhere else! We come from Portsmouth and usually are served by Tuwel and Tan who are always friendly and welcoming and make an effort to catch up with us. Food is delicious and never disappoints. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Steaming hot, everything correct and arrived half an hour before the estimate! Easily our favourite Indian takeaway and wouldn’t hesitate to order from here again and again.

The food was awful! No taste and the curry was swimming in water it ruined the dish I threw it in the bin 😢. It did turn up on time and warm which was a bonus

The food is always beautifully cooked, flavoursome and the meat so tender it falls apart. I always order as a take-away and have never had any faults with anything. Staff are so lovely and polite, delivery is always early and, in general, India Gate is brilliant. I've rated 0 for atmosphere as I've never eaten in.

Love eating here and it’s only one of the places my fussy girls will eat. There is never anything left on our plates. Always tastes yum and get a fair bit. Recommend. Never miss any items out, always hot too.

Overly priced and not so great .. the rice was al I could eat and every other thing ended up in the bin . Just a waste of money

piping hot, full of flavour, tender chicken. No faults at all, this is the nicest Indian take away I've been to in a long time! Such lovely staff, too.

Tina masala was VERY watery' hardly any taste' saag was flavourless and filled with unnecessary vegetables, both naan breads were dry and one had 0 cheese despite that being the main order' butterfly prawn was overcooked and very chewy again no flavour! Poppadoms were editable but it's hard to mess that up

I can’t normally fault the food from here but today it was not good. While I was eating my naan bread I felt something metal & to my shock I found a small metal wire within my food. Have spoken to the restaurant & Just Eat about it. So did ruin my evening meal & left me rather hungry as didn’t want to eat anymore just in case I found something else.

2 x coke cans, 2 x mango chutney missing from order and we were sent chicken tikka instead of lamb tikka. The onion bhaji we dry, hard chewy and cold, the whole meal was only luke warm even though I served it on warm plates. very disappointing.

They said they tried to deliver and called my phone. I was waiting in reception and he never came in to reception. So when I phoned and asked if my food would still be hot when they re-delivered it he said that was my problem. Also when it came back out it was if they had microwaved the curry but left everything else cold. Won’t be using again

One of the best curries I've had in Portsmouth, tikka massala and garlic chilli chicken were so fresh, tender and tasty and keema naan was packed with lamb, excellent!

We’ve enjoyed their takeaways so decided to give the restaurant a try, we wasn’t disappointed. There was 6 of us & we all had something different, they have a lot of dishes on their menu that other restaurants don’t have. The food was great & so was the service, you can take your own alcohol too. We’ll definitely be returning.

Food was disgusting the curry was watery with barely any flavour the naan bread was horrible and the onion bahjis fell apart not much flavour just overall appaling was my first time ordering from here and will most de be my last too

I don't usually leave reviews but this place deserves one. Food arrived hot and tasted great. I wanted it asap, and it arrived before the suggested time. even the delivery driver had a smile on her face, which you don't often get!

Wonderful food, lovely service. It was late but to be honest we expected that due to the day/time we ordered. Absolutely no faults at all with either the meal or service provided. We will be returning customers.

Lovely tasting Karnakata, hot but sweet and quality meat used. Perhaps I'm spoilt by other restaurants though as no free poppadoms and no raita to go with the bhaji.

Driver was absolutely lovely and is a credit to your business, however my order on the other hand was missing items! Not good, the food I did have was nice but would have liked to have got what I ordered.
