Absolutely perfect, we had the most amazing experience from the minute we walked in till we left. The manager and staff were second to none. We were looked after very well. The food was just amazing and probably the best Indian cuisine I’ve had. Very clean and tidy. DJ set was also great. Would highly recommend and we have already organised our next visit

Ordered 5 tapss 35 was offered free naan and rice ... which we took ..food was tasty and delivered quickly bill was wrong .. priced for naan and rice ..10 % service charge and charity donation included .. hard to spot .. overall good food and service .. but pricing left a bad taste

The staff work very hard to keep you happy and well watered and well feed. Good assortment of live music and a DJ to. Good atmosphere and the food is always super hot 🔥. Thank you all for a great night for the wife and her friend on her bday 🎂

Great evening with amazing food. We were a large group of 17 but restaurant managed well.

We were in a bigger party and the seating set up was awkward and not conducive to socialising with everyone. Ordering process is awful, I get the logic, but it doesn't work well. A few mix ups with food too.

Only reasoning for giving a 4/5 was that we couldn’t order online even though the house is within their limits for delivery. Food was delicious and piping hot! Highly recommend!

Reasonable Indian Menu most suited for western and British audience.

Bit pricey drinks wise talking London prices but well worth it once in a while and food was fab

Would 100% Recommend! I came in for a quick meal after dropping my girlfriend at work nearby and will definitely be back! The service was second to none. Wayne and Alanah were very attentive and friendly. Wayne even walked me through the menu and gave me some great recommendations including the cheese'est cheese naan. The value for money is definitely unmatched as the portion sizes are very good and the quality of food is outstanding! Even though there weren't many people in the restaurant the atmosphere was great thanks to their amazing selection of songs. I'll definitely be coming back!!

Food was good, as was the service, also found the food to be better than most Indian Restaurants I've been to.

An occasion gaff, a step above your usual Ruby house. Lovely atmosphere, nicely done. Open late. Food and menu average in my opinion but definitely worth a try if your in this part of the city

1st time here and really enjoyed it. Staff are very friendly and check in on you, have a chat and offered us some poppadoms and dips. Food is amazing and really refreshing to go to a place where food is really flavoursome. We went for the 5 items for set price...great for sharing if on a date as I was. Cocktails were Really good and made to perfection. Its hard to find any that was wrong with this place, maybe one that its handy to book a table which we didnt, all tables were reserved and we were there all night and some of the reserved tables remained empty! All in all a really great place for food and drinks. Prices are a bit higher than usual.....but you pay for what you get....Quality Definately be returning thier soon :)

Lovely New Years Eve with great service, food and drinks . Went for a meal early NYE with family and ended up staying all night as we all had a great time . Had delicious tapas food ( onion bhajis , aloo bhaji ; chilli paneer , nan bread and my son ended up having 2 portions of chicken rice ) , wine and lovely cocktails . Only thing I would suggest changing is the sauce for the bang bang cauliflower

Disappointed with our experience at Kassia Drayton last night. As a curry club member I have experienced many curry houses in Hampshire, and regrettably Kassia's food is below par. I ordered a king prawn jalfrezi which is a usual favourite. The prawns were lovely, but the sauce was very watery. Also the spices were harsh and didn't taste as though they had been cooked for long enough. There was no rich flavour. The jalfrezi was also to mild. The Balti tasted better, but once again was to watery. Service was very attentive. We will not be returning.

We’ve been to Kassia twice now and cannot recommend it enough. The staff are by far the friendliest and most attentive I’ve experienced in a long time. Really polite, lovely crew which look after you well. When we first came it happened to be their bingo night which looked like so much fun we decided to book for the following month. We had a wonderful meal both times and will certainly come back again. I can see a few negative comments on here around added service charges, if you are not adding tips to your bills in this restaurant then you’re obviously cheap and frankly, stupid. The service is well worth any % charge and having a moan about a £1 charity donation is just ridiculous. Huge thanks to the staff for providing us with wonderful food, a lovely atmosphere and our new ‘local’ when it comes to delicious Indian food!

Bought a Coors beer which I thought was expensive at £5.95 a pint, only to realise in the morning that I was charged £15.95 for the drink. Check your change if old like me and especially check the contactless charge before tapping on it. - 26/10/23 about 7.40

Very attentive friendly staff, great food and amazing cocktails

Such a shame- used to love this place but after this weekend don’t think I would make the journey again. Got a takeaway- the popadoms were chewy and old tasting, bhuna was watery and tasteless, rice not totally cooked and masala has changed and just awful. Such a shame as this was our favourite place to eat

On arrival ordered some pappadums, turns out when you order them you also get given a tray of chutneys without asking . The chutneys could have been better too. Curries arrived and blew me away, delicious! Peshwari was nice but missed my fruit, only coconut, still nice. I'd of given it 5 stars if the service charge wasn't added to the bill automatically for 2 people and the chutneys were not added to my bill without request.

I’ve been to Kassia several times because it’s very conveniently close to where I live. Went again last night and felt compelled to write a review just to say the food was delicious, the staff are so friendly and helpful and it’s a beautiful venue. The poppodoms and naan is the best of any Indian style food I have eaten out

5 star all the way. I had COVID. Then I had Kassia… then I didn’t have anymore COVID. I love kassia. Forever and always ❤️

A hidden gem in Portsmouth Having recently moved into the area, was on the look out for a place that served good food, drinks and atmosphere. Been to Kassia Drayton a couple times; with friends and with the other half. Would highly recommend for any type of night out. The food was reasonably priced, really flavoursome, filling and authentic; I liked the fact it has traditional dishes as well as tapas style so that you have options to try something new. When served, particularly the tapas, the staff would talk you through the different types of food that was laid out. The table spacing was great with booths to accommodate larger parties or smaller seating for a more intimate atmosphere. We went on a night where there was live music (a dj set) and I liked the small touch of music requests giving everyone a chance to have their favourite songs played. Being a Saturday night the atmosphere was lively but not hectic, just a general sense of people enjoying themselves. Plenty of seating and standing areas. The layout has clearly been well thought out. Perfect lighting and music volume. Management and staff were extremely tentative, polite and understanding of all clientele, service was very smooth. The cocktails were well made and there was a good choice of wine. I will definitely be coming back, bringing friends when they visit or just me and my partner when we want a date night. Highly recommend as a place for food, drinks and atmosphere. To start in or to end in. Will most definitely be returning

Very over priced, but then when you get your bill and there is a charity donation on there plus 10% service charge, it soon adds up. There was no mention of signage to say that you'd be donating money in your bill for a Bangladesh flood fund. The food I felt was very greasy. The place was so noisy you could hardly have a conversation. I don't normally do a bad review but feel this is a fair one for the night we had.

Fabulous staff great atmosphere

I have dietary issues, but the waiter was very helpful and understanding and suggested suitable menu options which were delicious. All the food was excellent as was the service.

Delicious food, really loved so many of the tapas dishes - especially loved the spinach ones. Great vegetarian and vegan options and plenty of gluten free options to choose from too. Definitely recommend and would go again.

After a little hiccup, Wayne was amazing, sorted it out straight away and I would highly recommend coming here, staff and food were brilliant.

Food was delicious . I had aloo bhaji , onion Bhajis ; chilli paneer and the Nan breads are to die for . My son enjoyed chicken tikka , chicken rice and another delicious nan bread . Great service and relaxed atmosphere on a Wednesday night ., will be back soon .

Food is absolutely amazing you can not fault how good it is. Service is a little slow but it is a busy place. There is free parking close by. Cocktails were good 👍.

Food was good, but the service from the Manager was absolutely awful. He was like a moody teenager, everything seemed too much trouble & so patronising. We asked for separate bills which he told us was not possible, as the food would come out at different times. Ordering together made no difference, food came out willy nilly. Doubled up on two curries which we didn’t order & missed one completely which left my sister waiting for it to be cooked. We also pointed out that we were missing tapas… his reply was that they are all there darling… patronising! They weren’t! He huffed & puffed like the big bad wolf at us when we politely pointed this out. Totally unacceptable when the mistake was by themselves. We asked for the bill which was a completely cock up, we had been over charged . Ordered a takeaway… which we waited ages to be told it was ready. We were not told , when we asked. His response was it’s been ready ages, just been keeping it warm for you. This sums his whole attitude up ! Seriously… this ruined our experience . I think he needs to go back to customer service school & re train. Still not sure he’ll qualify. Needless to say we won’t be returning 😡

We were here as a party of 60+ to celebrate a colleagues long service. The food was amazing ad the DJ fantastic. The staff and manager kas were so helpful and professional and couldn’t do enough to make it a special and memorable night for everyone. Thankyou so much a great night was had by all ……highly recommended

We went for family dinner but very disappointed with the service! The restaurant not busy at all but everything look very rush!! We can’t enjoy the food at all , feel like them want us to go soon as possible, and the food so sweet, definitely never come back again 😔

What an absolutely fantastic evening. We arrived at 8.15pm with a table booked, shown straight to our reserved table. Thankfully we booked as it was jam packed and what a great atmosphere there was! Indian tapas second to none, believe me when I say we were taken aback by how tasty all the different dishes were, so many flavours, loved them all. Dj live playing favourites of ours just to add to our experience. Will be returning soon for sure. Thank you Kassia 😊

We went as a group of 4 - it was a busy Saturday. Ordered the ‘Best of bits’ tapas. Waited over an hour for food and was pretty underwhelmed by the selection. Minimal amount of meat and rest was bread and potatoes and tons of onion in what should have been a meat dish. Cocktails are great.

Dropped in without a reservation on a Sunday evening and was greeted with an abundance of enthusiasm and warmth. The welcome was just the beginning. We ordered a selection of dishes, everyone of which was delicious. The service was really fast and incredibly good. This restaurant deserves the highest praise based on this experience and I’ll certainly be back again very soon. We loved it and the price we paid was very reasonable for the excellent food and service we enjoyed.

My wife and I visited on a quiet Wednesday night and were pleasantly surprised. Having lived only a 5 minute walk away we had never visited but were drawn in by the great choice of vegan meals - we were not disappointed. Ordered various Tapas and a couple of main meals and each one were absolutely delicious. The waitress was cheerful and helpful and was more than happy to supply with boxes as we had ordered far too much. We shall be returning soon.

Went here last night, the food was outstanding. Love the tapas idea. And really good value for money on the food specifically. We went quite early, 6:30, which was nice. I've heard it can get quite loud in the evenings, and often have live music. And it's a very open restaurant, with a big bar in the middle, so if you're looking for a more quiet night out, just plan on going early as we did. But in any case, the food was superb.

Ordered a takeaway, they apparently didn't get the order, so had to wait for them to cook it. Got it home, and the chicken was really tough, had to force my son to eat it which he did, we've been for a sit down and it was lovely, so not sure whether we go to kassia again.

The staff are very friendly and are willing to go that extra mile. My wife and I often go here with our two girl just for a couple of drinks, and we are greeted with a smile and our drinks remembered!

Was okay, great if your looking for a atmosphere, would second think if your wanting a cosy night with friends, food was okay could have been a little better, my chicken was very dry, but the sauce was lovley hence the 3 stars. There was a few new starters staff so drinks took awhile, but everyone has start somewhere.

Visited Kassia as a group of 8 Ladies for a Hen Night. We were greeted by a friendly staff member at the beginning, who showed us to our tables. The staff were very attentive and food was delicious as always. Everyone I invited enjoyed themselves....

This evening we booked a table for a birthday meal with family, following getting our takeaways from Kassia too! On arrival, we were seated next to a party of ladies who were enjoying their evening, however it became a little loud for us to hear...

A group of of us came in on a whim on a Saturday night, the restaurant was busy but we were greeted by the red-haired manager (sorry we didn't catch your name!) who managed to find us a table and couldn't do enough for us....

An impromptu meal at Kassia Drayton this evening. The meal had the WOW factor & my husband even asked to shake the chef's hand!! 😋 The service was excellent & thank you for the delicious Mojito. We will be back!

Wonderful meal, fresh and tasty. The tapas option, 5 for £30 works well as a sharing starter for a bigger party. Kassia staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. Well worth a second and third (and forth etc!) visit.

Really nice meal friendly staff, but we got the bill and there is a £1 charge as a Charity Donation, put on whether you want to donate or not, not that I mind, but you seriously need to name the Charity, this should be told to you, so your clients know what they are donating too, it could be a charity that you already donate too..!!!!!! This probably will not stop us going back.
