first time ordering from Gandhi, all the dishes were really tasty and arrived piping hot, will order again!

food was late, and clap cold. wrong drink sent and about 3 pieces of meat in kebab. absolutely dreadful

had to call restaurant after app tells me it delivered and food turn up half hour later

chicken was undercooked, food was cold and watery, pakora was awful

Food was cold and wrong order. I did not receive butter chicken, instead the restaurant decided to replace it with something else without my consent.

It took an hour to get our order but it was worth the wait. It was very tasty and great quality. I will definitely 💯 recommend and order again.

The menu says that mint sauce and salad came with two dishes but we only got one of each, and the side salad went with the chicken tikka starter so actually the other 2 dishes that said they come with salad cane with none. A shame for the starters. The app said delivery by 7.25 yet it turned up 7.50

Having tried many Indian take aways over the years I can say that this was one of the more enjoyable places I’ve been to. But The Indian Cottage Northend still remains my favourite place to goto by far. When there is a good offer on such as 40% off on one of these apps I tend to try other places to see if the Indian Cottage can be beaten in anyway other than by price. It’s not happened yet..But like I said earlier this was enjoyable. Personal preference is also very varied when it comes to food.

Paid £12.95 for a prawn pathia, extra for rice, had 4 prawns. Should have been called an onion pathia.

We have order from this takeaway the last two weeks. On both occasions the meal has been late. The first week we were missing onion bhaji, and this week we ordered garlic mushroom tikka which contained 5 mushrooms.

I am really sorry to admit this. But someone needs to remind this restaurant. There are a lot of hard-core curry eaters in Portsmouth that have eaten in all the restaurants since the 70s. If they claim they are Authentic. They must realise that fobbing off to any customer a basic curry and mashed up tasteless pilow rice with chicken that could break a tooth as a biriani won't be forgiven. We need restaurants like this to be constantly rated on their quality. Takeaways are too expensive nowadays.

The curry and rice were not as hot as normal I had to pop it in the microwave before eating it

Sorry the Vegetable Biryani was awfull taste,rice was all stuck together, seemed it just had a stock cube in for the taste. the sauce had no curry taste at all it was like a vegetable in gravy , the rice was all stuck together. Will not order any mor

Sorry guys. Your food is normally A+ but this week it was bland flavour and late. The driver did apologise saying traffic but for us below par being 35 minutes later than the expected latest delivery time quoted.

Last time, a few weeks ago we ordered the korma which was spot on 10/10, but this time ordered same dish and this time the korma was way too sweet/sugary. Hopefully this was just a one off as would like to order again in future it it's like the first time round

Came into the restaurant first time for food (ordered take away several times which had always been great) it was amazing, food hot and was pleasantly surprised the buffet was amazing.

Paid 45 and got for the smallest amount of food. Awful food ,wasnt cooked in the tandoor ,under cooked under seasoned. I dought very much if this is cooked by Asians. Full off food die. The salad was just onions. the mint sauce was yellow with no min

Very disappointed as last time it was really good but this time we were missing items from the order and one of the dishes was the wrong meat. And to top it off the food was cold

The food was okay, but, I ordered a chicken tikka masala, and what I got was, a korma, that was dyed red? The exact same sauce. Just a different colour. Wasn’t happy as I ordered 2 different curries for the different flavours, not colours.

Me and my partner are here yet again to dine in for valentines, again we had outstanding service and amazing food. The staff go above and beyond and even made it look cute for the special occasion of valentines!

Food was cold.. hardly any sauce in both curries really dry.. ordered chips cold soggy and hard only had about 20 in the whole bag!

Paid extra for mint sauce only received one which comes with the onion bhajees the chocolate naan had no chocolate in it

Probably the best Indian we have had. Took a gamble to try a new Indian in our area and was very impressed. All served hot and very tasty. Delivery driver very polite too. Thank you will order again

Driver turned up 25 mins after he left , phoned restaurant they said they were busy so i cancelled the order and driver still turned up ! Awkward as i never usually complain but i wasn’t expecting my order after 25 + mins

Second order from this restaurant and was expecting good things after the first order. Food arrived late and cold, things that should have crisp were soggy. Curry had leaked everywhere so only a half serving of one.

You owe me a mango pickle that was not delivered last night! Aside from that, everything was fine and dandy!

Probably one of the best curries I’ve had. My chicken dhansak was nice strength, with fresh ingredients. The poppadoms were freshly cooked with a selection of sauces . Would definitely recommend this Indian restaurant 👍😀 Looking forward to my next curry

Genuinely one of the best restaurants I've been too, extremely fast service and such pleasant staff. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone for anything whether it's for an anniversary, a nice meal out or even business meetings. The food didn't travel well. Soggy bahjis and naan. Tikka masala had way too much coconut and completely ruined the flavour. One boom on the boom meter.

Ordered here many times, this time no food delivered was blamed that they did not have address though have delivered here in the past. May be a JE issue but the guy on the phone was so aggressive. told me to contact JE which can only be done email.

Ordered a lamb biriyani and tandoori chicken through Uber eat. I must say it was the worst food I ever had in my life. Food was not fresh and certainly not cooked on the same day. Chicken was rotten and sickening and with the lamb biriyani rice was hot but meat was cold inside and did not taste like prepared on the same day. I have phoned the restaurant informed the manager about the quality of food before I binned it. BEWARE IF YOU ARE EATING FROM THEM.
