Friendly service, relaxed atmosphere and a great choice of extremely good and very fresh food. First time here and will definitely be back.

What a fantastic dinner. Had the set 2 course meal from the chalkboard. Really fresh veg and tasty meat in all the dishes. Food was served swiftly and was delicious. Will be recommending this to anyone who asks about where to eat in Pompey.

Stranded at Lees is better than your average Chinese restaurant. Much better. The food not only looks great, it tastes great. Fresh food, freshly cooked, vegetables that crunch when you bite into them and real flavor in every dish. Prices aren't bad either.

Very over priced. Crispy Chilli Beef was rubbish. I definitely won't use Stranded at Lee's again. £35 for 3 dishes that were in all honesty not great. Not sure where all these good reviews come from.

The most wonderful food, fantastic service, super friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Such a lovely experience; I can’t recommend them enough.

Superb meal from Pete!! Only our second meal from My Bar & Eatery, the first being a while ago, pre-lockdown in the restaurant, but as a takeaway, the only difference was the surroundings!! Quality and taste fantastic-all the food was great but in particular the duck spring rolls and the chilli salt chicken wings were amazing!!Brilliant being able to pick up such great food and support a local restaurant in these difficult times.

Un ambiente encantador y acogedor y una decoración de buen gusto. Peter es el anfitrión perfecto. Elegimos el menú fijo que constaba de varios platos, todos deliciosos. Personalmente soy difícil de complacer en el frente de la comida, pero no pude encontrar ningún defecto en la deliciosa comida. Habiendo vivido en el Lejano Oriente durante varios años. Calificaría la comida como la mejor comida asiática que he probado fuera de Asia. Vale la pena visitarlo para vivir una experiencia maravillosa.

Always made welcome and now with lock down in force I'm so glad you can still get great food (delivery or collection) but I will be glad when it's fully open again and I can enjoy the company.

Mi compañero y yo probamos este lugar y estamos muy contentos de haberlo hecho. Peter, el propietario y el chef y su hija, fueron muy amables, educados y serviciales. Ambos tuvimos la carne en salsa de frijoles negros y arroz frito con huevo y fue encantador. La comida era excelente, con porciones de buen tamaño y no usan MSG. La decoración era agradable y buena música de fondo en el nivel correcto.Sin duda lo recomiendo y volveremos.

Finalmente, mi partnet y yo visitamos My Bar and Eatery después de amenazarnos por un tiempo.Definitivamente no nos decepcionó.La música y el ambiente eran muy relajados y el dueño fue muy acogedor.Decidimos optar por el menú fijo y disfrutamos completamente de todo lo que estaba tan bien presentado frente a nosotros.Definitivamente volveremos y recomendaríamos este lugar a nuestros amigos.

El personal es muy amable pero no muy bien informado. Galletas de gambas bien, pero no hay chile dulce para acompañar. La comida era muy sosa, particularmente fideos y costillas de Singapur. Pedimos langostinos tempura pero vinimos en pan rallado. Cuando se les preguntó si servían pero ella dijo que eran tempura japonesa, sin embargo, definitivamente no eran pan rallado. ¡Sin adornar nada más que una gran cantidad de lechuga iceberg! Lo mejor fue la elección musical, excelente.Buena opción para tomar una copa y picar algo definitivamente no es una comida?

Popped in for Tapas, fantastic selection and quality cooked by Peter the proprietor. Great bar ambience, so friendly.

A relatively small eatery, the service was excellent, the food was good with large portions. The only down side was they do not stock a non alcoholic beer, Barman suggested I have half a normal beer, I explained I was tee total, all I could have was a coke or a bottled mixer.

The whole restaurant was booked out for our group. Great service and as always delicious food. So glad this restaurant is so local.

Great singapore noodles, the owner made me a fresh plate of plant powered noodles plus a bowl of stir fry veg. peroni on tap was great too. friendly service too! thanks!

Perfect serbice, perfect ambiance, prices judged right, value fir money given.The menu us full of options and adaptability entertained.Peter is the perfect host with a gentle subtlety needed to ensure your visit is one of enjoyment, discovery and culinary education.My latest visit was just that as that Singapore noodles were cooked to my wish without too much spice resulting in a delightful cuisine experience.Please give it a try, a true gem of a place. One of Southsea's hidden Gems a great atmosphere great staff and great decor very modern . Nice Cocktails and a nice place to go even if it's just for a drink. Just across from the KIngs Theatre so perfect place for pre show food and drinks

I was visiting Southsea with a group of friends, we visited this restaurant for dinner it was brilliant. Not your average Chinese - funky decor and music, great cocktails. The set menu was fantastic value, they made me a fabulous vegetarian option (Aubergine in black-bean-sauce). All my friends agreed it was the best Chinese restaurant we'd been in. The staff were really friendly. I would definitely visit here again.

Used to visit here when it was wok the duck. The food is still to die for and very reasonable prices. Will definitely return

Having visited for dinner now on 5 occasions the food and service from Peter and his team is consistently good. The Singapore rice noodles are the best I have eaten along with delicious Espresso Martinis. Thank you to My Bar and Eatery for another fab evening.

I walked past this restaurant many many times and just did not go in. However over the last couple of months I have become a regular. Every dish I have tried has been really tasty and freshly made.

Second visit to My Bar and Eatery and still very very good. Great atmosphere, great food and great service and Peter and team look after you very well. This place is definately a hidden gem! Perfect location for a night out in Portsmouth whether you are going to the theatre, having a meal or on a drinks night out...look no further. The owners are hands on and so friendly, nothing is too much trouble. It’s stylish and modern but the real surprise is the food. It’s fresh, fragrant and filled with flavour. The real pleaser for me is they do a great tapas selection aswell so you can have all your favourites to share! If my waistline could take it, I’d be down here most nights of the week! Give it a try.... whether it’s with the other half, family, friends or work colleagues, with its cocktails, Asian tapas and a friendly and fun atmosphere, this place is one you’ll want to visit again. Go on make a night of it!

We were seeing Dara O'Briain at the Kings Theatre on a weekend trip to Portsmouth. We knew that Albert Road was full of restaurants, so took a gamble on just turning up to one an hour and a bit before the show for dinner and came across this place. Very glad we ended up choosing this place - brilliant food, very good drinks (other half had a couple of cocktails), friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. When we are back in the area again we will definitely be back for some more food!!

We were going to the Kings Theatre and needed to eat somewhere close by that could serve us fairly quickly. We chanced upon My Bar which is very close to the Kings and were intrigued by the notion of Asian Tapas. The service was very friendly and there were a couple of other tables of diners although it was only 6 pm.

We arrived at 8pm on Good Friday evening, and we were the only customers and I have no idea why! The food was excellent, the restaurant immaculate and the service very friendly. It was also excellent value for money. As is usual for me I over ordered and the waitress offered to pack it up for me. All in all we really enjoyed the food and our time there. Lord knows why it wasn't busy!

Beautifully cooked asian food, presented with care and attention. Lovely selection of tapas style starters, then a fair menu of main dishes and sides. Nice interior, loved the sparkly tint on the walls. The guy serving us was great, very professional and friendly.

Beautiful food literally nicest Chinese I’ve had in such a long time. We had 2 x groupon 5 tapas selection between 4 of us with yung chow rice. Big portions all freshly cooked in relaxing atmosphere and excellent service. We will definitely be back loved it!

we thought we would try this restaurant on a groupon offer after seeing good reviews and thought a groupon offer would allow us to get a taster with a view to revisiting. It didn't start to well when I range to make the booking as they insisted on 48 hrs notice but when we arrived we were the only 2 in there! The guy (manager?) wasn't very welcoming, wanted to charge me extra to have lemonade with my glass of wine which was included in the offer. We chose 5 tapas and they came out quite quickly, they were all nice and fresh and we had intended to order extra as this wasn't enough for a main meal. The guy who served us showed us no attention the whole time but was quite happy to have a loud conversation with another man at the bar, the background music was also obtrusive and didn't need to be so loud as it was so empty. We came away feeling very disappointed and still hungry! Sometimes it feels that when you go on a groupon visit they are very disinterested whereas I think they should make an effort to encourage you to return. Judging by his welcome and chat with the other customer not all people are treated so rudely!

We visited here with friends in the week between Christmas and New Year and were served up a real treat. The restaurant wasn't packed which was good and service was excellent, attentive from the moment we arrived until we left. The food was great, good selection and making the choice took longer than normal because of the great variety of options, good vegetarian selection for those that look for this but the meat eaters amongst us are equally well catered for. We relied partly on the staff recommendations but not entirely and can say all food was equally good standard and great flavours - and the plates which are listed as tapas are a very good size and so our only challenge was finishing what we ordered! Drinks were a good selection - though could do with a bottled Ale on offer, and couldn't manage a sweet amongst us as we over indulged on the mains. Absolutely great, a small independent restaurant which deserves good success and based on our first experience, this will certainly happen, we look forward to a return visit later in January.

First time to the My Bar & Eatery and we were not disappointed. Great welcome, and great service throughout coupled with great food, really tasty, and not your normal Asian dishes, but all very fresh, tasty, and no msg!

Great fresh food that you won't find anywhere else! This is a family favourite and have been dining here regularly, never had a bad meal, only great food and great cocktails!

There is nothing like MB&E; anywhere local, it completely trumps any other Chinese style restaurant. The food is always fresh and delicious!! Amazing cocktails and good music!! A gem within Portsmouth!! Highly recommend - the sweet and sour is a must!!!!!!!!!!!

Brought a deal on groupon 5 tapas and 2 glasses of wine for £19.99. Food was very nice, great portion size and friendly staff. Definitely go again.

Took our 2 kids here last night. Fantastic friendly host and staff. Very tasty food. Not the cheapest for food and drink, especially the cocktails but excellent quality. I would say this is a "treat venue that we will definitely return to. Top tip: the duck or pulled pork course comes with 6 wraps. For a party of 4 people you need to order a potion of each to have an even number of wraps each . Lovely decor and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Had a midweek asian tapas meal, food and wine was delicious, friendly, unhurried and relaxed service.

My first visit today for lunch here . Definitely return again. Manager very friendly giving advice about the variety of tapas. All the food was so tasty. Ribs were so tender they virtually fell off the bone. Loved the satay. Delicious sauces and the best fried rice ever ! Highly recommend this laid back friendly place

I have been twice now on groupon vouchers and the food has been delicious each time. We have been at 7pm midweek both times and been the only customers but we like it that way - personal service by the very friendly staff and not having to wait too long for the food. I highly recommend this place for something a little different to eat that tastes fabulous.

Great personal service with advice and guidance given about the different tapas dishes and a fabulous bottle of reasonably priced red wine (which I can’t remember the name of, but it’s the most popular wine). Food was brilliant and plenty of it. Lovely refurbishment to the place and it’s very clean.

Came here for a long over due catch up with friends inc sam2. Had cocktails and set menu. Good value and delicious. Restaurant itself is very stylish and clean. Staff are very helpful and friendly. I wouldn't hestitate to recommend and I hope to return again soon for more vodka Martinis (with lemonade) and pork belly. Heaven.

My friend and I lunched here and thoroughly enjoyed the unusual tapas, ample portions, good wine and good services. Will be returning!

Simply the best !!chinese food in Portsmouth ,, braised pork belly , Korean dumplings, ribeye steak in teriyaki sauce , Kung po chicken all fabulous !! Great decor and service , a must visits if you like quality Chinese food , lots of unusual dishes, and lush cocktails too !!

Used a groupon for a pre-theatre meal during the week. We were the only customers so very quiet. However the decor was calming and attractive.Service was excellent with dishes explained fully. Everything was cooked well and very tasty. The house wine was also fine. Altogether a very pleasant experience.

Went with friends on Saturday, loved the food. Everyone was happy with what they chose. It was quite noisy with people drinking at the bar so if you was quietness head there early. I will return

Went out for dinner at My Bar & Eatery last night for my hubbys birthday On a recommendation, I must say I was thoroughly impressed with the frendly staff and the great decor not forgetting the awesome lychee cocktails!! YUMMY! The food is amazing at a standard you would get in some top restaurants, and priced resonably too. Definitly worth a visit!!!!

We met friends for dinner and after a long week we we're really looking forward to a relaxing evening. The cocktail menu was appealing so we ordered one each and decided to have the set menu. You know that moment when you take a sip of your cocktail and think 'Ah, hello weekend'. Yep, that was us. Then a member of the public started having a huge rant at the front of the restaurant which went on and on and on and although a member of staff seemed to by trying to calm him down he wasn't doing a very efficient or speedy job. By the time our first course arrived we were still listening to the ranting, were feeling quite stressed and certainly not in the mood to eat with that going on in the background. We left. And funnily enough no one else was in the restaurant when we left either. Shame. I've heard the food is lovely but the Jeremy Kyle atmosphere was not for me!!

Great food which is fresh and authentic. You can have a traditional starter/ main course or tapas dishes. Friendly owner and staff. Well worth a visit. Conveniently close to Kings Theatre and other venues.

We enjoyed an excellent meal for my birthday. Exquisite fresh mussels, divine pork belly, melt in the mouth cod with seafood in lovely surroundings. A decent wine list, sumptuous cocktails (recommend the vodka lychee martini) and friendly service.

We have been going to this place ever since they open and I must say they have one of the best chef in Portsmouth. I love the steak , lamb and sea bass ( everything)

The food here is really really good and great value. There's a full dinner menu, a tapas menu and a specials board. The wine was lovely (we had the pouilly fume)and very well priced. The cocktails were the best around! A great place and I'm definitely going back soon.

What a gem this place is. We had salt & chilli calamari and chicken & chorizo mini pasty to start, followed by lamb rump and a ribeye steak. All the food was presented beautifully, cooked to perfection as requested and tasted delicious. The staff are attentive and friendly and even charged my mobile for me. We will definitely be returning soon.
