Merkamo Ethiopian in Tower Hamlets

Merkamo , 42 Hanbury street , London E 1 Zinash nos mostró nuestra mesa, ella era muy servicial Íbamos a salir a tomar algunas fotos, pero Zinash dijo que podíamos utilizar la planta baja como nadie estaba allí, así que teníamos el lugar para nosotros. nos preguntamos si podemos limpiar después de que hicimos un desastre, pero nos dijeron que no, ya que lo harán, así que volver a nuestra mesa y pedir nuestra comida, la comida era fantástica y dijo que volveremos. en cuanto a Zinash ella es un 5 * no podía hacer lo suficiente para nosotros No te olvides de darle like a esto y suscribirte , ya que me ayudará a seguir adelante y publicar más videos , un gran agradecimiento por todo lo que se mira en , y que tengas un gran día : )

El restaurante Merkamo recién inaugurado no aparece en Tripadvisor, así que aquí. Quería recomendar Merkamo, el restaurante recién inaugurado (inaugurado en julio de 2024 ) del mismo propietario que el puesto de comidas dentro de Spitalfields Market. Situado en 42 Hanbury Street, Londres E 1 5 JP 47 , junto a Brick Lane. Deliciosa comida etíope 100% vegana servida. Pedimos su plato de degustación Beyayanetu, con samosa de lentejas y jugo de vacuna - estaba delicioso. Conocí a la propietaria Zinnat y su esposo que dirigen el lugar y son tan apasionados y con los pies en la tierra y trabajadores. Fue una alegría hablar con ella.

Excelente, sabrosa comida saludable. Lleno de sabor, no te perderás la carne! Pequeña porción más que suficiente. Muy recomendable

On a walk around spitalfields market we wanted some lunch to share and saw this amazing stall. We got the special which meant we got to try everything and it was superb. Flavours we hadn't experienced before, healthy and totally vegan which made it absolutely perfect. Set us up for an afternoon of walking! ; Really friendly staff.

Wonderful stall with friendly staff and great food at a pretty low price. It’s all great but the okra is amazing. All feels really good for you too, and it’s vegan!

I was visiting our London office and wandered out for lunch with colleagues. We crossed over into Spitalfields market and split off to explore different food places. One colleague suggested Merkamo and the two of us joined a lengthy queue which was a good sign. In all honesty, as we got closer and could see into the glass display I wasn't overly enthused. I've been a vegetarian for decades and have never tried Ethiopian food, it was a little out of my comfort zone and different to things I normally eat. What this experience told me is that often it pays to be adventurous. My colleague was having the special, a mix of everything, so I joined suit and picked a samosa as an accompaniment. We found our colleagues and sat enjoying the sun and the food. I wish I'd gone for the large bowl, it was as the title suggests, outstanding. The textures, flavours.....it simply tasted amazing. I know where I'll be visiting on my monthly visits to London.

Came to Spitalfield Market for the first time, and came across this stall! Tried the Traditional, and loved it - healthy, tasty and filling. First time I've tried Ethiopian food, and left with a great first impression. Highly recommend if you're visiting the market!

Wow - vegan and Ethiopian food. This beautiful eatery in Spitalfields Market was out of this world amazing. The lady was so passionate about the food and the taste was amazing. She talked us through the 'bit of everything' plate and we were in palate heaven. Best dinner in London under a tenner - please go and taste the joy.

My office is just around the corner from this place and we would all come and get lunch from here regularly. Hands down the best Ethiopian I have ever had and the best vegan food I have ever had and if I had time to think it over this may just be the best food I have ever had. I cannot overstate how good this is. You don't need to be vegan to enjoy this. 10/10

Probably the best food stall in Spitalfields. They do all vegan Ethiopian food for a reasonable-ish price (considering it's in a trendy East London food market serving hearty portions). Definitely pop here if you want a flavoursome, filling meal. Would recommend trying injera (sourdough flatbread pancake-kinda thing).

Fresh and tasty and varied ingredients. See previous review. Also a great location in Spitalfields to just take your time, sit and watch some of the world go by and some of it sit and chat. Great scran ! 10/10

Had another 'Merkamo Special'. Excellent flavours. Almost everything you need, nutrician wise, in a meal. Rice, pulses, dahl greens, and more et c etc. Nice hot sauce on the side too. Dumplings v nice. Very generous portion too. Price.... 8 squid. Bargain ! and healthy.

Had a delicious lunch with all kinds of pulses, couscous and dahl. The stall has many vegan options.

There is a wide choice of food at Old Spitalfields Market but swerving all the chain restaurants and heading for Merkamo was definitely a good move. The special was recommended to me by the lovely guy who runs the stall and it was a great recommendation. I hadn't come across some of the ingredients before (teff, sorghum seeds) but I'm really glad I have now. The good was fresh , a little spicy and just so filling and tasty. Forget the rest, try Merkamo. Good stuff!

My first time trying Ethiopian and I was in heaven. I bought a special for £7.50 which included small tasters of so many dishes, inhera pancakes, lentil samosa and a coconut dumpling. The food was flavoursome, so varied and very healthy. We ended up returning the next day to get the same meals. Vegans and none vegans will not be disappointed. Ethiopian is my new favourite food!

Merkamo Special & a Traditional. 2 meals £14. Grest variety of items in the meal. Mine had dumplings (on the Special), which were nothing like anything I have had before (light & tastey). The rolled up wraps ? Not sure what they were but delicious....
