Disappointing experience all round. Some of the food was nice- wings, fritters, jungle salad (hence the 3 stars) but the steak and chips wasn't good at all - very chewy and the amount of meat isn't worth the price unfortunately. Service was poor, mainly by the female worker - poor attitude and eye rolling is extremely unprofessional. Had to ask multiple times for basic things (Cutlery, napkins, plates). Bottle of water placed on the table before ordering isn't complementary (and definitely isn't mentioned). Very quiet for a Saturday night, definitely don't need to book a table in advance.

Great atmosphere and service but I am afraid the food let the place down. Not all of it was poor as such deserves around 3 stars. Hopefully the business can take feedback positively and work on freshness and focus on cooking and flavours easy to get back upto the 5 star mark.

I went to the restaurant with my 2 year old son and we both absolutely loved the food and ambiance. The burger was really flavorful and juicy yet crispy just the way I like my burgers! The chicken steak arrived on sizzling platters and smelled delicious and tasted just as delicious. The mocktails were delicious and came in these really pretty mugs. The customer service was amazing and we were very well looked after. I would highly recommend this restaurant whether on a date night or with family as my son loved the jungle theme pointing at the monkey and the birds. Also the restaurant has a beautiful photo corner for any party gathering selfies. Best of all the parking is easily accessible. Will definitely come again!

Last night I had an amazing experience at Jungle Braai …from food to ambiance everything was simply perfect. I loved their chicken wings and the Opt burger , it was finger licking good! Their mojitos are full of flavour, I tried their passion fruit mojito and I was blown away! Right at the end we ordered few warm drinks and their karak chai was a good touch to end my day in this cold weather.

From ambience, to service, to food, this place exudes warmth and satisfaction. I order CPT burger and chips. Both were finger lickin’ good! I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Last night I was invited in this beautiful restaurant..trust me there décor was on an other level beautiful a jungle theme ..very cozy atmosphere..and there staff were soo nice and food was amazingly awsume everything we ordered was sooo delicious..so try them out!

Looking for a place to enjoy a lovely evening dinner with the family. Excellent size and variety of steaks, lovely seating, service and a jungle vibe to spice up the mood. Kids food options are also available with choices of refreshing drinks and milkshakes. Definitely recommend you visit if you planning an evening with family or friends.

I ordered lamb chops, barbecue chicken wings, and fries through Uber delivery. The price seemed reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. The meat was tender and cooked perfectly, which was a highlight. The flavors were different from what I was expecting, but they were well-seasoned with a balance of spice, sweetness and enjoyable in their own way. Overall, a satisfying experience!

Came with my family. We had an amazing meal. The started were really nice. I ordered the T bone steak, and it was very tasty, cooked to perfection. The strawberry mojito was really nice and refreshing.

Had the Steak and chips - £25! Average food definitely not worth the price, have had much better for £15 range. Not recommended. 6 Lamb chops £15 again overpriced for taste, they were OK. Cash only too 🙄. Average place will not visit again 5/10.

We ordered a takeaway today and found a hair embedded in the burger we ordered. We contacted Foodhub thru the website chat, who contacted the restaurant who flatly refused a refund for the burger, stating most their staff are bald and all staff wear a head net. You can see from the uploaded picture clearly that a piece of hair is embedded in the food.

The rider did now show up with my order it didn’t come and he went off with my order

The steak was tender and just how I wanted it. The chicken was delicious and flavoursome.

Food and service were excellent. This place was recommended by some friends. I expected it to be like Nandos but it was nothing like it. The food is full of flavour, fresh and great portions! There is parking in the surrounding roads . Would highly recommend taking the family and children! Everyone is made to feel welcome!

My experience at Jungle Braai was nothing short of frustrating, and I can honestly say I left feeling disappointed and unimpressed. From start to finish, the service was chaotic and the food didn’t meet even the most basic expectations. To begin with, the milkshake I ordered arrived almost immediately, well over an hour and a half before any other part of our meal. It felt completely disjointed, as if no one in the kitchen or serving staff had any coordination. When the food did finally arrive – after an antagonising 90-minute wait – it was completely wrong, forcing us to go through another round of waiting while they attempted to fix it. With which they could not so led to certain members ending up hungry leaving with no food ! The drinks we had ordered were another issue. Despite ordering them alongside our food, they only came to the table after we asked for them not once, not twice, but three times. It felt like no one was paying attention, and that basic requests were being ignored. When the correct food finally made its way to our table, it was nearly impossible to enjoy. The dishes were tough, poorly prepared, and messy. The food seemed rushed, as if no care had gone into its presentation or quality. All in all, Jungle Braai left a lot to be desired. The service was horrendously slow and the single server was flustered and could be barely mange orders and lacked professionalism and the kitchen was disorganised, and the food didn’t live up to any expectations. I would recommend going elsewhere if you’re looking for a smooth dining experience or food that’s actually enjoyable.

Came to Jungle Braai and had a reeaaaaaly good experience - we were served by the lovely Sana who provided me with great service and even better food. It is definitely a try and will go down as an amazing experience!!

First off, the packaging was spot on—my burger arrived looking just as good as it does on their menu. No soggy buns here! Now, let’s talk about the star of the show: the burger. It was seriously tasty! The patty was juicy and packed with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. The blend of spices really made every bite a delight.

I loved the burgers, its so juicy and full of flavour its the perfect ratio of all tastes. I will definitely be purchasing again!!!!!! I am really delighted to have found a new favourite food shop

We really enjoyed our family dinner at jungle braai. The food was superb; full of flavour, sizzling hot and tender. Lamb chops and JB’s Special chilli chips are a must have. Butterfly chicken steak always hits the spot.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. And the food was full of flavour and I would definitely recommend the BBQ ribs and chicken butterfly steak! This is a hidden gem of East London.

The food is good however staff can improve on their customer service skills. I ordered my meal and i had to ask for cutlery, tissue and sauces. None of which were given to me when food had arrived. Also they only had 1 wooden fork left. I ordered a burger and it had a strong taste of ginger inside and ruined the experience.

The food is good but the place is disgusting and dirty, nit a good atmosphere. They need to add some class to it. Look into the pots where they keep the cutlery, the old sauce bottles. It needs a proper cleanup , new utensils and a good makeover.

Call it a great waste of a Friday. From a terrible waiting staff to a tasteless meal delivered by the same crass waiter who literally couldn't care less about your meal or experience. Non chalant. They only accept cash and make the dining experience terrible as you have to run to the ATM while keeping your friend as an insurance back at the restaurant. Truly disgustful waiter. Don't know his name but he is the one with a full beard. His waiting manner will make you feel like you are being fed like a cattle.

**Absolutely terrible experience!** I feel completely robbed—robbed of the precious time I had reserved to spend with my family and robbed of my hard-earned money. This establishment is run by people with no morals or etiquette, prioritising money over integrity, their faith and customer service. We had an awful experience and will never return. We were a party of 16, mostly children, and ordered four platters. They were served 30-40 minutes apart, with no sides accompanying the meals. The sides arrived only after we had finished eating, and the salad came even later. One burger we ordered never arrived, and we eventually had to cancel it. When we complained in-store, we were told this is their usual practice. There was no apology or compensation for the disgraceful service. As a token gesture, they tried to knock £8 off the bill, but it was insulting. I told them to keep their discount and eat the money, as they love money more then their honour & integrity. Avoid this place at all costs!

This use to be my favourite restaurant PITY ITS Gone downhill. Service was sooo bad. I hadn’t even finished eating the guy started clearing the table up. The bill was on the table even though I was still eating. Last couple of times the food has been burnt chops and prawn well overcooked EVEN THOUGH I TOLD him several times not overcook them. The chops wr cut so thin plus burnt they were like rubber. The standard of the food is so bad now. I love the sauce of this place. It’s so disappointing I will miss it.

This food is terrible quality, they sell lamb ribs, but they serve mutton and it was very chewy, my cat did not even want to eat it. Please change the name and leave the word braai alone, because this is defo not braai.

The food is hit and miss. Some items are great, others very poor. There doesn't seem to be consistency which is the biggest issue here. Service was good and the ambience was nice. The staff are hardworking and regularly check in.

My visit to Jungle Braii left much to be desired. Amidst high expectations, the reality fell far short. The buffalo wings, intended to be a highlight, arrived disappointingly cold, lacking the warmth and flavor one would expect. The steak, anticipated to be tender and succulent, proved to be overly chewy, detracting from the dining experience. Equally disappointing was the lack of attentiveness from our waiter, whose absence bordered on neglectful. It's disheartening when the service fails to match the caliber of the cuisine. To exacerbate matters, a dear friend discovered a hair in their meal, a discovery that understandably tainted the entire dining experience for our group. Such oversights in food quality and hygiene are unacceptable in any establishment, let alone one that purports to offer a pleasant dining experience. Regrettably, my experience at Jungle Braii left me with no desire to return. With so many other dining options available, I see no reason to subject myself to another disappointing meal and lackluster service.

MIS - STEAK I went to JB to break my fast, I can say it was the worst experience I've had in any restaurant, food was standard was very poor, service was atrocious and to top everything we found hair in the food. Very disappointed that they don't expect card, and when you do pay by cash they don't have the correct change.

A blend of African and Portuguese cuisine with a kick of south Asian. Wide choice of menu. Brilliant service, piping hot sizzling food.

Under new management so a few menu changes. Food was basic nothing special. The chops were tasteless and not cooked that great. Fries portion very small! The rice was cold and steak was a basic quality! The buffalo chicken wings and barbecue wings were the best and are a must try. The rest just wasn’t hitting the spot. Some items didn’t come but they still tried to charge us. Won’t be going back here for a long time!

Great experience after a long time

All Got severe food poisoning and it was the only food we had all eaten. one went to hospital for severe dehydration from constant vomiting.

My first time here I was really looking forward to going as wanted to visit a south African restaurant for ages and I wasnt disappointed I have to say the food was amazing the service prompt and friendly 100% recommend will definitely be going back cant fault it at all x

I had an impromptu meal here once and was great. I ordered online this time around. Chips was stale( oil old), the food was really salty and gave me food poisoning and bad stomach ache almost immediately after. Also I think the restaurant may have some mice cos my corn turned up with bits appearing to have been eaten by rodents no crumbs were in the bowl. Customers beware.

Good and delicious food, very enjoyable food. However the guy was very moody and uninteractive, we ordered a sprite and instead he gave us Cocoa Cola and some other drink which we did not order. When i complemented him on the food and service, he was very miserable, moody and rude. He also did not show any response to the inquiry i had about the toilets, so i did not go because he totally ignored me. Atmosphere was very mundane because the customer service was poor and it not justify the taste of the food, the food itself was very good, nicely cooked and prepared and i enjoyed it very much no complaints there. The waiter was very rude and did not say thank you or showed any courtesy upon payment and exit, even from the get go he was persistent we finish up. Mundane and poor waiter manners but great food.

Eight of us lads went for dinner. We spent over £200. Chops were decent, as well as the chicken steak. My friends did not enjoy the steak and chips. The mojito was ok, the strawberry mojito wasn’t nice. Service was questionable with the guy disappearing randomly and then appearing again. The owners don’t care about the restaurant, please see my photos. Condition of the restaurant is disgusting. There is potential however a long way to go!

I ordered with uber Eats and received the wrong delivery, long story short, I went to Jungle braai they listened kindly and decided to correct the order for me on the spot instead of having to go through uber Eats Customer service whose customer service number was not helpful, the staff prepared for me what I ordered. Made an order, received the food but couple of items were missing. Contacted Jungle Baai and spoke to Majid and he arranged for the missing items to be sent to us. Unfortunately, the Sprite leaked onto to the food by the time we received it. Spoke to the owner, Majid and he said that he will send it again to us but then later during the conversation changed his tone. Be very careful; their customer service is extreme shallow. Very poor behaviour by the owner. He has just lost a customer.

Ordered lamb ribs last night. Firstly I think they were mutton as meat was tough and secondly the ribs were undercooked, ribs meat should fall off bones. Very disappointing. Sauce was excellent

Food is amazing. Weve been coming here for two years every month. It’s pricy but worth every penny! The taste cannot be found anywhere else! The meat melts in your mouth and I would definitely recommend coming here for dinner! Fills you up and the customer service is cute! Tables and chairs are sticky though. Deserves a deep clean other than that everything is perfect! So glad we found this place! Obsessed!

I generally don't enjoy meat very much, and can still admit this place has the nicest meat platters I've had in a long time. The chips come in quite small portions but you can pick between skinny and fat ones which is nice. We didn't eat the prawn and I wasn't a fan of the buffalo wings, although the steak and other wings and ribs were perfect. The price is what you would expect- it's a treat rather than a place for lunch, but they only take cash which made it a bit difficult. The mocktails and milkshakes are lovely too. The toilets are okay in terms of cleanliness and the décor is interesting (wildlife). It isn't the cleanest place I've been but nor is it the dirtiest. The décor could do with some dusting in general. It is a bit dark in there even during the daytime, but overall it's not unpleasant. The service overall is wanting, however. I've been there and eaten in twice. First time (a Sunday afternoon), the waiter had excellent customer service but the man on the counter didn't have any at all or know how to smile (neither had much English which didn't interfere much). The second time (Sunday lunchtime), the waiter was the most miserable person I've seen in a while. He seemed annoyed by our coming and almost flung each dish onto the table. Then started clearing up while we were still eating. It was a fairly big (expensive) order so I guess it wasn't that he was unhappy about. Anyway, if they invested in smile training, and in light of the food, I'd give Jungle Braai a 5 otherwise.

Used to be so good, but gone downhill. The food is still decent, but the service is beyond rubbish. Food comes out in drips and draps, if you try speaking to the waiter he has a dirty attitude. Still cash only which adds to the headache.

Ordered food to be without sauce, came without. Just eat refused to refund. It usually comes without so was very disappointed to see they've. hanged.

We shared the Braai mix for two and it was very tasty and meat was all cooked well! Favorite was the chops and the prawns but it all worked well together and was delicious! We ordered different dipping sauces but they all looked pretty much the same. Was tasty nevertheless. Would order again!
