Visited here today with our family from USA 🇺🇸 and service was excellent, food was so delicious, couldn’t ask for more. Good value £££

I came here for dinner with 6 friends. Some of us had previous experience of Ethiopian food, for others it was their first time. We all found it to be delicious and thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Addis Vegan Kitchen. The food is varied, tasty and very high quality. The service was perfect and our choices were beautifully presented. We were made to feel very welcome at the restaurant and I enjoyed chatting with the owners about my fantastic experience of travelling in Ethiopia. I would highly recommend Addis Vegan Kitchen...... And remember, you don't need to be vegan to enjoy vegan food!

Definitely the best Ethiopian food I've tried to date. Great range of lentils and vegetables, and none of the dishes were too oily. The injera bread was lighter with a more savoury flavour than other examples I've tried. Great value for money too. Will definitely be going back.

Came here recently for lunch with friends. First time I was trying out Ethiopian food, and this vegan restaurant looked to be well-reviewed - after our experience, I can see why! The shop front is run-down, but don't be fooled - the interior is a good design. The staff are very kind and friendly; the service didn't take too long; and the menu prices are high, but you do get big portions! We went for the vegetarian platter for two - a huge plate that probably could feed three comfortably. All the dishes tasted fantastic, and was a very filling meal. Overall, a great place to eat - whether you're looking for vegan food, Ethiopian cuisine, or just a nice place to eat! Highly recommended.

We were drawn into Addis Kitchen on the Old Kent Road, because it looked really interesting. And I'd never eaten Ethiopian food before. The food was delicious. It was laid out on a flat bread called injeera which is moist and used to scoop up the various fillings. We went for a shared platter for 2. There was chick peas with a deep smokey flavour and various veggies to accompany it. We like spices and our waitress gave us some extra hot sauce. It had a chilled, friendly atmosphere. We'll be back for sure. Reasonably priced too. You can bring your own beer so that helps.

What a special welcome, care and food we had on Friday evening! When we sat in this beautiful restaurant and I realised the ShiroWot (my favourite dish) was finished, the chef did not hesitate one minute to offer to cook it from scratch for us! and it arrived piping hot, delicious and so tasty together with our Chef-Selected mix. We had a wonderful dinner and the most warm welcome. This is going to become our favourite vegan place for sure. Thanks so much for your warm hospitality and wonderful food! What a find! If you’re looking for healthy, vegan food that’s a bit different, this is the place to go. We had the sharing plate for 2 and it was brilliant chatting to the lovely lady there about the origins of the food, fasting meals etc. The decor and atmosphere are great, as well as the yummy food. Would definitely recommend!

I’m so lucky to live close to this little gem. So I can come here often. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and welcoming. I never want to leave! The food is traditional and utterly delicious. There is no sense of hipster pretentiousness here - the vibe is authentic, informal and inclusive. The proprietors are lovely people who enthusiastically share their culinary culture. The coffee making has a special sensory ritual.

This is a really welcome find on the Old Kent Road. We were immediately struck by the welcoming and pleasant ambience. The food is delicious and is obviously freshly prepared on the premises. You can BYO if you wish to drink alcohol but we were happy with the chilled water on offer. We’ll definitely be regulars here. Excellent value!

We had the vegan platter for 2 which was delicious and so filling. Couldn’t fault the service, food or price. I would happily pay double to come here. Deffo recommend - a must body for vegans in London

What a find. I’ve travelled in Ethiopia a few years back and every so often hanker for injera. This cute little relaxed restaurant on Old Kent Road is an oasis of calm inside. Lovely rustic Rasta vibe. Great owner who took the trouble to explain the menu. BYO wine/beer with no corkage which really keeps the costs down for a meal out. If you forget to bring some there’s a place to buy next door. They have a great range of zero alcohol beers too. The food is so tasty and amazing value itself. Apparently the injeras are flown over from Addis! And try the coffee too. It’s made the modern way (with a barista machine) but the Ethiopian beans are delicious. This place is vegan but you don’t need to be to enjoy this little gem.

Great value vegan Ethiopian food right on the Old Kent Road. The food is healthy and tasty and the service is incredible. I cannot find fault with this place.

We went to Addis Kitchen on Saturday night for a relaxed dinner out. The food was incredible and the service so friendly and welcoming. My husband had never eaten Ethiopian food before and he loved it. The place is a total gem. Thank you!
