OMG! Go there now and have a cheese toastie!! I'll try to recreate it back in the US, but my expectations are low. Wish we'd found this the first night here instead of the last.

Currently sat outside this lovely place. The staff are fantastic and attentive. Was worried that as we are wearing football colours (Forest at Wembley) we wouldn’t be welcome. We couldn’t be more wrong. Staff amazing. Beer prices sensible. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

After a long walk around London, we were hungry. We found this place and tried our luck as a walk in. The host let us take our seat anywhere we wanted. Within minutes our drinks order was taken and arrived promptly. Food order was taken...went for a bowl of biltong to start, this was delicious with a good balance of spice. For the main i had the "small" rigatoni pasta and my partner had cheese burger tacos. The pasta portion was definitely not small in my eyes but it was certainly delicious. Such a good flavour and pasta cooked perfectly! My partners tacos looked good and he gave then a sold 10/10. The service was incredible and the staff were lovely, Food was amazing and the atmosphere of the place was lovely, when inside you forget you're in a busy part of London. Really nice place with very tasty food. Our server had an excellent personality and really added to the overall experience of the meal. The décor was cool inside and the porcupine lamp shades were definitely unique.

La comida era simplemente deliciosa, con Bunny Chows siendo una alternativa bienvenida a los sándwiches de dedos, eran muy sabrosos. Lugar encantador. Sin duda recomendaría.

We stopped by for cocktails one afternoon. The atmosphere didn't bother us too much, other than that they have nice cocktails.

Personne pas très aimable ni avenante lors du service alors qu'il n'y avait pas grand monde mais nous avons été vite servi. Les repas étaient très bons mais très onéreux (27 livres pour un fish and chips) et en plus il y a un pourcentage de service en plus sur le total de l'addition donc note très salé à la fin.

The vegan burger is particularly recommended – super tasty and perfectly prepared. If you want to enjoy afternoon tea, you should definitely reserve in advance.

Visited here recently and we had a good experience having a nice evening meal. We had a 3 course meal from the pre theatre menu and had ordered the below. 2 People Starters: Cesar Salad, BBQ chicken salad Mains: Vegan burger with chips, traditional fish & chips Desert: Baked vanilla cheese cake, chocolate brownie. The Cesar salad was very nice and so was the BBQ salad although they forgot to put the crispy bacon, which they did later bring after we informed them. The vegan burger wasn't great, perhaps it was me who didn't like it, as options were limited in the menu. My wife certainly enjoyed the fish and chips though. Deserts were nice although we found the cheese cake a little on the tasteless side. Chocolate brownie was nice and could have been nice if it was little more warmer. Overall it's a very nice place and I'm sure the other menus offer a lot more choices. Drinks menu was very good and lots of cocktails, beers, spirits on the menu.

Lovely traditional tea for two. From the moment we sat down the staff could not do enough for us. My daughter and I are pretty much checking out all the tea for twos in London, and this one didn’t disappoint. The tier serving plates came out and we just jumped right in. The bread for the sandwiches was so soft and fluffy, fillings full of flavour. Cakes just yummy and warm scones to boot. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

Service was good but got forgotten about after 2nd drink was served. Waited 10 mins for 1st drink but 1hr for food to be served. Afternoon tea was very nice but waiting for it was not very good especially as another couple who arrived 1 hr after us and they had theirs served 10 mins after they arrived.

We had buyagift afternoon tea voucher for bbar and had the fishnchips afternoon tea which was absolutely delicious. The staff were pleasant and friendly, gave us more tea and coffee as much as we wanted, and didn't rush us in any way. The food itself was delicious.

Hosted my daughter’s 18th birthday- 80 people -staff amazing, food and drink perfect- everyone had a great time. Highly recommended.

Lovely and attentive staff. Decor was beautiful, atmosphere quiet and cosy. Had purchased a voucher for 2 course pre theatre meal. Food was lovely, tasty,hot and well presented. My only negative would be the 15% service charge, which I feel is over the top.

Nice place, friendly staff We chose 2 courses from the set menu at £15: a good potato and leek soup and some truly delicate honey ice cream.

The service is fantastic in here. They are very attentive and we were very well looked after. The food was delicious and everyone really enjoyed their meals. Everything came out in good time which is perfect for anyone heading to a show after. A few of us weren't drinking and they have some great non-alcoholic alternatives. I would say it's a bit on the expensive side for a burger (£23) but we're in central London and it was lovely. I would definitely recommend BBar. Thanks for having us!

The venue was lovely, the service exceptional, and the food absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, not all the teas on the menu were available, which was a bit disappointing, and I would have appreciated a slightly cozier ambiance. That said, it was an overall great experience, and I’d happily return!

A lovely place to catch up with friends close to Victoria Station and Buckingham Palace Queens Gallery. Good food and some lovely cocktails reasonably priced for the area it's in.

I ate here while staying next door at the Rubens (they are connected). I wanted something casual & fairly quick for dinner & can highly recommend this place. The service was excellent, my waiter (I think it was Geoffrey) was very friendly, as were the other staff. I had the burger which was so tasty & with a brioche bun (and better than the photos on here show). There was sports on the TV screens but it wasn't noisy. I'll definitely go back.

I was told about this location, and I wanted to cat h up with a friend so this was ideal. It was quiet so we were able to have a conversation and it wasn't too noisy. The service was good, seems like a small family run. We had small plates as hunger wasn't top if the list . The salmon gravlax was good , I think the portion size was too small . The squid was the right mount The Fuji Mocktail was so addictive ...enjoyed it. Will head back

Had a preshow meal included with our gift tickets. Service was spot on, quick and no wait on food. I had a burger with chips with chocolate cake for dessert partner had fish and chip with cheese cake. We both enjoyed our food and drink. Service was spot on, would come again!

Great spot right next to Rubens at the Palace Hotel, and just around the corner from Buckingham Palace. Super friendly staff and excellent food at really nice prices. You won't walk out hungry for sure! We will definitely plan on a repeat visit when we get back to London

My new favorite place!!! Don’t hesitate to try this great restaurant. My cheeseburger was excellent! Great service. Nice people. And, my cider was delicious. I’m gluten free and the staff was accommodating.

The restaurant is next door to the Rubens at the Palace which is where we were staying. The food is very good and the maitre'd Ian is the best. He's friendly outgoing and attentive to all his customers. We enjoyed him as much as we enjoyed our meal. The restaurant was busy but not over crowded. Definitely a good spot for a meal.

A very friendly staff and an amazing Afternoon Tea. The price is competitive and everything tasted great. I'd definitely recommend it to everybody!

I got a reservation because I assumed it would be busy due to theatre crowd. Surprised to see restaurant was almost empty. I’d say everything was just average. Disappointed theatre menu consisted only of a cheeseburger or fish and chips or vegan option. Had a long wait for everything with showtime approaching. With service charge a cheeseburger a fish and chips and one drink (which was excellent) was over $75 pounds. Will look for other options next time.

We went to Bbar to have their fish and chip afternoon for our twin daughters 12th birthday whilst we were in London. It was easy to find and a great location - very close to Buckingham Palace and St James Park. The afternoon tea was so delicious, lots of food and very reasonably priced. The staff went out of their way to give us a fantastic experience and were super friendly. They also do a traditional afternoon tea and normal menu. The girls had a rrally pretty and tasty non alcoholic cocktail which made them feel all grown up and special. Best afternoon tea we've had. We highly recommend to everyone.

We had a meal, we ate very well, the service was impeccable, the water was offered and served in our glasses, we had a good time.

A very nice establishment in the Buckingam district, bar and restaurant, we went there to eat, a very good cocktail to then start with different dishes; pastrami sandwich for me, wings and a burger for our teenagers, an orrechiete dish for my partner, accompanied by an excellent Argentinian Malbec, a very friendly waitress with quality service, here we serve you a glass of water upon arrival, we had a great time...

Bbar is fire 🔥. My wife and I came for a late night bite. The lights were dim which made it cozy. With me being vegetarian, I ordered the Dirty Vegan and lemme tell ya... Just MUAH! Paired with the fries, a match made in heaven. My wife ordered the lobster spaghetti which was also tasty. I'd recommend this place to anybody.

Stopped by for a late evening bite with family. It wasn’t too busy. Was greeted promptly as we entered and shown to a seat by the window. Menu’s arrived and server came back shortly for our drink and food order. We just ended up ordering a few small plates and one in party had a chicken burger. Drinks arrived and food in a timely manner. Nice and hot and found them of good quality. No interruptions while we sat and chatted. Cleared the tab up and we were wished a pleasant night. It’s very near Buckingham Palace so handy if you’re in the area.

The food is delicious. The location is quite convenient, right on the road, and in the tourist area.

Our London version of “Cheers”. Great bartenders. Excellent selection of interesting gins. Nice people. Being next to our hotel was a bonus.

I was here for a South African night. Food was ok but not great portions.

While BBar came highly recommended by reviews, we were very disappointed. Most certainly not worth the £162 for 3 drinks - 2 of which were sent back. The wine was off and the other wrong mix, though both replace with limited fuss - 1 bottle of water, 3 appetizers, 3 entrees. The appetizers were well presented and pleasant though exceptionally salty. The entrees were lackluster at best. The buttermilk chicken burger was undercooked and chewey and contained items not listed. Fish and chips can be skipped as your local chippy will do it better. The BBQ chicken salad wilted and overwhelmed by the dressing. Over all not sure what the hype is about other than the convenient location. Will not be returning.

Was looking forward to the Fish & chips afternoon tea as a birthday treat. Did tell restaurant but not acknowledged. Food was well presented and tasty. However, menus stated came with pickled egg and curry sauce, both missing, but still on the menu. Sadly we didn’t realise until we left and reflected. Pleasant server although wrong cocktail delivered it was quickly changed. Nice enough but wouldn’t recommend for a special occasion especially with 15% added for service.

Attended yesterday with my mum for the fish and chip afternoon tea. We were very warmly greeted by all staff upon our arrival as they were standing by the bar and taken to our seat. Huge portions of afternoon tea were quickly served within minutes alongside our drinks made to order. Food was amazing and the atmosphere was lovely, nothing too much trouble. Totally worth every penny. Our main waitress was a lovely european lady with red hair, her service was immaculate, she was extremley friendly and attentive but not too much that we couldnt enjoy our time. We were also served by a younger african lady with long hair, she was also faultless and so kind when speaking to us. Both of these ladies are a credit to the team. Apologies for being descriptive about staff members but they didnt have name badges and I wanted to give them a special mention. I overheard a conversation between one of the male staff members, i think the manager? And another table who had a lot of requests+. Both myself and my mother noted how accomodating he was and went above and beyond to give the customers a great experience. We have already recommended to friends and family and look forward to returning! Thankyou for a great time.

We went yesterday for a team fish & chip afternoon tea for 10 people. The food and service was fantastic. A big thank you to our waiter. There was so much food and we had plenty to take away. We were there at 2.30 so the place was very quiet and did lack a bit of atmosphere but I’m when it busier it would be buzzy.

Très bon restaurant proche de Buckingham Palace, nous y avons été bien reçu et le repas (pâtes - hamburger) était délicieux. Le personnel a été très attentif à que tout se passe bien. Plutôt prix élevé mais le rapport qualité prix est bon.

We had the afternoon tea. The food was very mediocre, with the pistachio pastries having nauseatingly bland and fatty cream filling. Brioche buns instead of finger sandwiches is interesting, but the method of filling them is absurd. It was far too much bread compared to the toppings.

We went here for lunch when my friend was visiting. The location is perfect, near Buckingham Palace and Victoria Station. The restaurant is visually stunning and inviting. Sophia was our waitress and was courteous, efficient and friendly, so a big thank you to her. The food was really tasty. We had the salt beef sandwich, a Chicken Caesar salad and two burgers. Everything was delicious and perfectly presented. I would highly recommend a visit. Ten out of ten.

Very friendly service. Amazing food. And good value for money

We reserved a table in the Bbar restaurant for the evening via the homepage in the morning. The reservation via the portal was easy and worked perfectly. We were warmly welcomed and served straight away. We can recommend fish and chips and The Son of a Gun Burger. The food was very tasty and fresh. Great selection of cocktails.

Lovely food, pleasant staff excellent customer service and fairly quiet. Good location. Cocktails were ok. My only point would be time. We had the pretheatre lunch and took 2 hours so we had to pay for a taxi rather than tube to the show.

The BBar , went there for afternoon tea , and fish & chips , very good food and the staff was great too , the inside is fabulous , even the mens .

First time there, what a place, was greeted by the waiter ,and shown our table, water was brought to us ,and the menu, we said that we have pre booked and was having the Chip Shop Fish & chips Afternoon Tea , she came back with the right menu, we asked about the tea and she said that Flavoured Rooibos was good 👍 so we had the Sunshine Orange, Totonac Vanilla, and it's our first time to try the tea ,it was very good tea 🍵. The fish & chips ,was 🍟 good, oh the cakes was great 👍, we had a good time and enjoyed the food 😀, A big thanks to all the staff who worked very hard ,and looked after us 😀, will be back there next time ⏲️:)

I was at Bbar a couple of weeks ago. It has a really lovely atmosphere and environment! The drinks were extremely nice and generous. Although it was quite busy the service managed beyond expectations.

Booked to watch the England quarter final match. They had offers on including 16 chicken wings and 4 X bottle of beer for £25. Food excellent, service fantastic with tentative staff who were always smiling and friendly. A great atmosphere and one of our go to places in London when we visit!

Been a favourite for 22 years..

Had spectacular lunch, all 4 of us had something different. Excellent service excellent food, great drinks, wonderful atmosphere what more can you ask for. We watched the Gun salute and air display and hot footed it to Bbar for lunch. Perfect end to good time thank you.

We had a lovey Cream Tea here. The food was well presented and very tasty. The Brioche rolls and scones were light and fresh. Good tea and drink selection. The restaurant had pleasant decor great background music and was clean. One of the best cream teas. My only criticism is the jam was cheap and a little bland.

Always accommodating for walk-ins. I went with my parents and my dad really liked it! The burger and salad 🥗 options were delicious, it was full of flavour and portion is great. My dad really liked his cocktails as well! Managers and staff are lovely, restaurant is nice and cozy! It’s for all season and location was spot on across Nova site in Victoria !

Next to the hotel The Reubens at the Palace. Great food and wonderful food and staff. Shouldn't miss this restaurant.

Very lovely atmosphere, we visited on a late evening and found it absolutely amazing for a quiet conversation while enjoying some wine. Had the bbar’s Famous Toastie but not crazy about it: found it a bit stringy, it could have been more creamy inside. Great place, we'll be back for sure.

One of the better meals we had on vacation. They were very nice and the food was solid. On a busy corner so you can people watch.

Cool little place..Stopped in here for a bite to eat after visiting Buckingham palace from the bus tour. The salad was so crisp and huge for a "small". I also had the honeycomb ice cream which was to die for.

Above average afternoon tea. The sandwiches are actually small filled rolls, an interesting twist, though it does result in more bread and less filling. Nice flavours. The cakes were tiny but tasty and the scones were fine. Once you’ve taken repeats of tea/coffee/hot chocolate into account it’s pretty good value for the £30 per head (May 2024 price). You can also have fish & chips instead of rolls if you so desire. Lovely service and decoration.

Very rude and not friendly staff. We wanted to have a dinner, came to this place. But we walked before during few hours so firstly was needed to use a toilet. Staff was rude and said need to became a customer first and after ask about toilet. They don’t care that we would like to stay there. But with this attitude it will never happen. People for them are only “money”, but not a humans

Booked for the alternative fish & chip afternoon tea for a treat at the end of a busy day with my daughter. She is not a huge bread fan, so this alternative seemed perfect. What a result! The fish and chips were sublime! And scones and cakes perfect to finish off. The choice of various teas was amazing, and my daughters hot chocolate was dreamy! From walking through the door to leaving the service was excellent and all the staff we dealt with were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. Will definatly be back . Thank you x
