Amazing service amazing food and amaaaaazing drinks! I got the chicken quesodilla and nachos. Recomend:) They also have a great sortiment of cocktails!

The food was super yummmy and the staff were so friendly. The food and drinks arrived really quickly and tasted amazing.

My son took me to La Parreilla when I went to visit him in Liverpool for my birthday ,had a wonderful night very friendly staff great service and fab food ,when the found out it was my birthday they pulled out all the stops”with music .Mexian hands sparkling candles and lots happy birthday singing.just made my evening very special .Will be back Patricia Ireland 😍

I was there with my sister brother and sister in law and we had the lunch menu. We had hallumi fries and the nachos with spicy chicken and it was lovely but three had the chicken fajitas and I had the chilli but all was rather tasteless and the chilli was in a tortilla bowl this was deep fried and really should have been baked in the oven as was greasy and the bowl is then filled with rice then chilli on the top and it was just all mushy really the rice should have been served on the side with just the chilli in a baked tortilla bowl. Sadly we won’t return but the service was exceptional just not that impressed with the main meals

Sen vet alla om att är man ett sällskap på 18 personer som bokar sent så är det tufft att få maten serverad varm samtidigt. De lyckades med det och de lyckades även att göra oss alla nöjda med deras val av maträtt. En kanonkväll helt enkelt. Platsen, Maten, Servicen och sällskapet var klockrent! Tack alla!

AMAZING food, service, and atmosphere!! We were a very large group of 29 people - and everything was just perfect. Easy to order, drinks came swiftly, food likewise, attentive staff. If I ever find myself in Liverpool again and in need of dinner, THIS is where I'll be going.

Avoid, the fajitas tasted disgusting, the chicken did not taste like chicken at all, it was my daughters birthday and she didn’t want me to make a fuss so didn’t let them know, the salsa and sour cream was funny tasting too! What a disappointment!!

What a lovely place! We had a family meal after a graduation. It was great. Food was lovely. Service was warm and welcoming. The margaritas were delicious and we will definitely go again.

** Do not visit if you have an allergy •• Visited for an evening meal on 28.12.23 with a family party , members of which had a sesame allergy , one being a 15 yr old. Had felt reassured by the waitress checking with kitchen staff around allergens and confirming no sesame was present in the kitchen. Horrified then to be served a starter of garlic bread and cheese comprised of a SESAME studded burger bun ?? loaded with cheese. For our party this was a narrow escape as the presence of sesame was identified before it was ingested. Unbelievable. In today’s world and in a time of such heightened allergy awareness that a business can operate in this sloppy/ haphazard fashion around its duty of care to its paying customers. This is deeply concerning. The staff and apparent management presence were more than apologetic but it was uncertain if the potential severity of our dining experience with them was fully understood. We will be passing our experience on elsewhere to do what we can to protect others who may have a similar experience at this restaurant.

We’ve just had my daughter’s meal here and have to say I don’t get the hype or the other reviews at all. We’ve been keen to try for a long time but I won’t be revisiting. Food was very average and pretty bland overall. The staff were too busy checking their mobile phones to remember to ask if we were ok or needed extra drinks. They even forgot one of the 6 main meals. Only highlight was kids chicken kebab which was great value. Hate to say it was below average and at £140, a waste of money. You live and learn but I wouldn’t waste my money in here!

Great service however the food was average. The portions were very small and did not reflect the price and the food was lukewarm. The wedges were overlarge and disappointing.

I have been here a few times previously, and have thought it fantastic, unfortunately this time was disappointing. The meals have gone much smaller, we ordered 2 fajitas, which were nice but had to share a platter with dips etc on, I spoke to the waiter and said, there wasn't really enough for 2 here, he replied, 2 came up from the kitchen, but we were told just to bring one to the table! The service was good. I don't think the prices on the website have been updated either!

Went as a fathers day treat. The restaurant was absolutely jam packed. No social distancing in place. Customers shouting loudly. Customers failing to wear face coverings when moving around the restaurant. Staff failing to enforce Covid-19 regulations. Staff wearing face coverings incorrectly.Food was disappointing. Ordered Spicy chicken enchiladas, but there was no hint of spice.Certainly will not be going again.

We visited today for lunch for my nieces hen weekend and we were blown away with the food! Everything was perfectly cooked and very tasty! The portion sizes are very generous indeed! The cocktails were amazing and the tequila shots were the perfect end to the meal! Staff were lovely and looked after us well! We most certainly will be back

Very noisy place, poor quality food and poor service. It took ages for the food to arrive. They did not have any box to put the left over food.

This is one of our favourite restaurants in Liverpool We are big Mexican fans.Visited on Friday for the first time since covid.The place is looking great! I had a blueberry daiquiri it was amazing.The food came quickly and was lovely.Husband had chicken & chorizo fajitas which are so tasty.My only moan this time round is how much the prices have risen. £8.95 for starters is a bit extreme

We we looked after throughout the night by lovely, funny people attentive but not intrusive. The food was absolutely the very best. I love Mexican food, and have been to the restaurant in Bold Street, but the food last night was extra special. I can’t wait to go again. My friends took some boxed up home with, as the portions are so generous. Plenty of choices for vegetarians and meat and fish eaters also. The hardest part was choosing.Lovely wine list and drinks menu. The restaurant itself has a lovely feel to it, decorated throughout with style. Very good quality dishes and glasses, everything spotlessly clean.

Delicious food with amazing staff and a warm, welcoming environment. The sitting inside is surprisingly comfortable with typical country decoration, making you feel in México.

Cocktails are amazing!!Food wasn’t as good as the first time we came Nachos with cheese on that wasn’t melted Massive chunks of chicken that where dry and far too bigNo sour cream gutted as always had lovely nachos here. Hummus wasn’t very nice either

I am a huge fan of Mexican food, so when my sister decided to take me to La Parilla I was super excited to try it. Everything was so tasty and decent sized portions too. The staff were a little busy but it is totally worth the wait and they were so friendly. Can’t wait to go back when I next visit the city and I pray that one opens up in newcastle too xxx

5 Stars to this Mexican restaurant, serving Margaritas on point and preparing ridiculously big courses (almost unacceptable!).Friendly staff, quick service, tasty nachos and those beans... oh jeez.I found the food not too spicy which is good to me.The only negative comment I have to say is that a fiver for a tequila shot is a robbery!

What an amazing find on a rainy day! This is the review for the Lark Lane restaurant. We were so lucky to get a table under the covering on a really rainy day. While we waited for the only table to be cleaned I noticed how much care the waiter took to clean all the chairs, table and sweep under the then to get the food off the floor. Service was excellent by our server and manageress, she took time to explain the menu as one guest was gluten and dairy free. Luckily they do have a gluten and vegan menu! Through out our time there the servers were extremely attentive and very willing to please and go out of their way! Great customer service!The portions are massive! I had to take my main course back home! The quesadilla was excellent, really tasty but massive! Would definitely be returning!

Just arrived for a couple drinks just something fast and have been refused due needed to order food and drinks by law. But that isn't the law at the moment. While the staff member was saying this the face mask on the chin and not keeping the social distance. Second horrible experience i had in this restaurant. I'm a restaurant manager aswell and this was worst costumer service. End up going to the Italian club just couple shops after and had drinks. End up having dinner aswell with great staff attitude. You lost money , a good review and defo I will spread the mensage. Thanks

Billboard outside advertising Early Bird Menu. Not offered once inside because it's 'Christmas'. Menu only excludes Early Bird Menu on Bank Holidays. Day of visit 23rd Dec is not a Bank Holiday but apparently it was the 'managers decision' to not offer the Early Bird Menu. Did not remove the billboard from outside when it was brought to their attention that this was mis-selling to entice customers. The food is ok to average but will not return..

We have been here several times over the years and its always first class, this was a return visit for our Daughters Birthday.The Covid precautions are excellent, the staff are Excellent as is the food and service.Remember you can have the food as mild or as spicy as you want, they are very helpful and just want you to be well fed and happy.We are already planning our next trip.

I visited with three friends and everything was outstanding. We had a tapas style meal - everything was perfect. The drinks were also lovely. I would recommend the orange and passion fruit daiquiri! The service was brilliant, they couldn’t do enough for you!

A days Xmas shopping finished with a wander up Bold Street, had heard about it before so thought we would give it a whirl. Everything about was super, service, cocktails food quality. Cannot reccomend it highly enough!

This place is the unmatched mexican restaurant in liverpool. No mexican that I've eat in this city matches the quality of food from here! We ordered vegetarian nachos, vegetarian quesadillas and chicken enchiladas - we were not disappointed! Jimmy also served us the best strawberry daiquiri's too! I'd highly recommend those cocktails for a night out!

It was a holistic experience, both body and mind were fed, everything from the food, to the decor, to the atmosphere was joyful. Service is very quick and staff are attentive. Food portions are immense and the midweek meal deal is fantastic. I don't know if we'll ever be able to recover from this experience.. no restaurant will ever be the same...

Fue mediocre. La comida me pareció un poco sosa. Al guacamole con los nachos le faltaba sabor, podría haber salido de una tarrina comprada y la salsa le faltaba calor.Pedí tiras de solomillo, esperaba más especias y calor y me decepcionó. El servicio fue lento y las bebidas tardaron una eternidad en llegar. Además, el personal es agradable y servicial, el lugar está bien distribuido y me sentí seguro. He escuchado muchas cosas buenas sobre este lugar, pero no volveré.

Visité para almorzar y aproveché la oferta de reserva anticipada. Mucho por la cantidad de comida que obtienes. ¡Llegamos a casa con un burrito completo porque los dos solo podíamos manejar la mitad! Los nachos eran tan deliciosos. Pidió pollo picante en el burrito que era SUPER picante, ¡así que ten cuidado! Pero todo tan maravilloso. Todo el personal era encantador y muy atento. ¡Definitivamente volveremos a probar más comida!

Visité aquí el 5/8/20 durante "comer fuera para ayudar" La comida era fabulosa como siempre, caliente y sabrosa y buenas raciones esperando en el personal muy amable también.El problema principal era que no había distanciamiento social cuando miré alrededor, el restaurante estaba muy ocupado, no vi desinfectantes para los clientes y los baños no estaban limpios, también puede mirar a través de la escotilla hacia la cocina, que se veía muy agitada y sucia, etc.Se estaban celebrando 2 cumpleaños esa noche, la música estaba horriblemente alta, se estaba entregando una rebanada de pastel con un gran brillo en el personal, seguido de un canto fuerte y un estruendo alrededor de la mesa. Definitivamente es un lugar al que volvería, pero no pronto, tal vez una vez que este Covid esté bajo control y las instalaciones estén profundamente limpiadas, no me sentí seguro allí.

We celebrated my son's 18th birthday in La Parrilla on Bold street yesterday 27/09/20. After all his other birthday plans were cancelled due to covid a nice family meal out was all we could manage but wow what a meal it was. I really cannot fault this restaurant, the staff were absolutely amazing, nothing was to much trouble. The food was fabulous and plenty of it we were full to bursting by the time we left. After mentioning to one of the staff members that is was my son's birthday the staff came out with complimentary cake for the birthday boy whilst they all sang happy birthday to him.Thank you for helping to make his birthday special. We will definitely be visiting again.

Visited today with my family, seen lots of positive reviews so gave it ago. Authentic Mexican food and decor. Plenty on the menu, we got burritos and enchiladas will need to go back and try other items. Definitely worth a visit and we will be back

Myself and my boyfriend came here to celebrate his birthday and couldn’t of had a better time. We both love Mexican food so visit Mexican restaurants regularly and nowhere else comes anywhere near as good as La Parillas. The food was amazing and the portion sizes were huge. As it was his birthday I had told the staff before hand hoping I could bring a cake and surprise him with the whole come out singing happy birthday thing. They told me I didn’t need to worry as they provided a slice of cheesecake on the house. When they came out singing to him they put maximum effort into it (sombrero, maracas, the whole shebang) which just made the night incredible for us. Can’t thank them enough for the amazing food and excellent service. Look forward to visiting again!

Best Mexican restaurant I have been in Europe, not even joking. The food is amazing, nice staff, fair price and the best sangria ever. My partner loved it so much that we went twice in a weekend. Really really recommend.

Fantastic Mexican food we went for dinner, gave us a lovely table for two downstairs staff are fabulous very prompt service, we had early bird menu lots of choice all popular Mexican faves were on it we chose nachos and fire bombs to start very tasty and filling for mains chilli inan edible bowl and chicken fajita both very large and tasty also they have a large selection of Mexican beer etc

Eaten here before and it was just as good as our last visit, Would recommend booking as at 5pm on a Saturday we were lucky to get a table. Food delicious and very generous portion size - we only had a main and we were stuffed. Reasonably priced.Some tables seemed to have been removed due to Covid but did still feel a little “cosy” and with the staff wandering around too I did feel social distancing wasn’t always observed,

Beautiful food with fantastic service and a warm atmosphere! I felt very safe eating here in this pandemic and the food was incredible! I’d recommend the bramble cocktail with chicken enchiladas!

And my partner came her on Sunday 30th August. it was a last minute decision and chose to go in for lunch and so glad we did, we ordered tow desperados and I ordered nachos for the starter and beef burrito for mains. my partner ordered halloumi for starter and lamb shoulder for mains and wow they were both stunning, very hot too and the service was also good and quick. we both love Mexican, especially myself. the only thing we wasn't happy with the extra supplement charges on top, even on my burrito, complete rip off.

Amazing, went here yesterday (Monday), we had 2 starters, cheesy garlic bread and spicy bbq chicken wings for my husband. He had red wine to drink and cans in a nice wee bottle, i had gin and lemonade and i liked how there was plenty of ice and berries in the glass, i like that they kept an eye in your drinks to ensure you always had a drink. We each had Chicken & Steak fajitas and they were so tasty and portion was big. The manager was really nice too, he went out his way to talk to us which we like as did the other male waiter. Would definitely return. 100%

Had a starter and main course £13.95 so we went for that even asked them about menu got the billand charge me for starter and main course completley ripped me off when i ask why told me the offer didnt count on bank holidays even 3/4 signs outside for the offer yet do not say anything about bank holidayRIPPED OFF

Visited here with friends on a Saturday evening. I tried to book on the phone, but told it was full. Anyway tried my luck by walking in... Hey Presto! Table for 2 available.Sat down with people packed in tables too close together...But the meal was suburb, very filling, big portions.Highly recommended. A top Mexican

Beautiful sunny day on Monday afternoon decided to have a lunch at La Parilla, difficult decision when you have to choose a meal out very taste menu, this time i decided to try Salmon, great choice of creamy mushroom Souse, fresh salad on the side and delicious rice, followed by best espresso in the city, brought smile to my face, thank you La Parilla staff great service AH

tables were 0.5m apart with no screens and staff coming right upto you. They clearly hadn't removed aby tables, but were happy to take advantage of the extra table space allowed in the street The beer was flat, tortilla chips were budget shop bought and tasted of nothing. Japepino poppers were ok but only 3 of them.Fajitas were ok but i couldn't request steak to be cooked medium, probably all pre cooked like subway and heated up.Enchiladas were terrible and my wife didn't eat them. Nobody asked us if our meals were good and just took the plates away.Thank god for the 50% off otherwise i wouldn't have paid full price.

Visited here today and asked the waiter for the early bird menu. We were told where to choose from on the menu.The portions were huge. Far too much for one portion, it was poor quality, guacamole was awful, and the refried beans?? Just like a cheap tin of beans, has the chef ever been to Mexico!!When we got our bill it was more than expected, we were told we had not ordered from the early bird menu.So please ensure you have the correct menu. Having read the reviews it's clear that they are pushing people to put 5 star reviews. We will not recommend it to anyone.

After being let down by another restaurant with a booking, we decided to try La Parilla at the very last minute and amazingly they had a vacancy. From the moment we stepped in they couldn't have done any more to make us feel welcome. Staff are outstanding. The chap who seemed to be in charge was superb, even going the extra mile and giving us some free margaritas because there was a little wait for the food. Not a wait that we even noticed to be honest. Drinks are amazing and well priced. Food is 5 star and the portions are HUGE. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Best Mexican in the City.

Decided to have a post lockdown weekend away with the other half and found this place on trip advisor. Food is fair priced , large portions and excellent customer service with background live music. Highly recommend the rustic wedges , best I have ever consumed.

Portion sizes are massive I could only finish half of the burrito they must have so much food waste here. Food was good, not amazing. Cocktails were good but sangria was below average.

We booked a table in advance and ordered a number of starters as a tapas style while my other son ate a main of chilli. The calamari was delicious not chewy and quite spicy. Quesadilla gooey and rich. The chilli was served in a nacho bowl and was really flavoursome.Our only complaint was that the coke and lemonade were flat. Drinks were immediately exchanged but truthfully no Improvement. Friendly service and the music ( feels like you are in a looney tunes cartoon) v authentic.

Lovely place the food is hot and delicious and good size portions. We had prawn and chicken dippers for starter and chilli taco and enchiladas for main and all fab food. Washed down with Mojitos, Rioja and liqueur coffee x lovely lovely evening the place is quirky and staff attentive we would definitely come back if in Liverpool again x

Amazing food as ever. Visited as part of ‘eat out to help out’ Portobello mushrooms are amazing and had fillet steak which was divine. Staff were wearing face masks when serving food. Couldn’t fault it will be back soon. Food so fresh and authentic. Thank you guys

Not the place to go if you’re expecting the staff to be wearing masks, nor your first restaurant visit since lock down. The food was ok, the kids food was more spicy than the adults, which meant we had to swap. Staff were attentive and food came quickly.

Visited La Parrilla today for lunch with my wife. Enjoyed a fantastic meal in a lovely homely setting. Nachos Halloumi Fries and Cream cheese filled chillies for starters would have fed more than the two of us. Main meals of veg enchiladas and veg burrito were all beautifully cooked enormously tasty and the portions sizes are large! All in all a big hit. Thank you!!

We stumbled across this Mexican on Bold Street as part of our first outing to a city after British lockdown. We didn't have to book, hand sanitiser was provided and tables were spaced out for social distancing. Very good value, affordable with deals on tapas/starters and mains combos. Starters were fantastic - would highly recommend the volcano balls (perfect crunchy batter and spicy cheese filling) and we shared a healthy portion of halloumi fries. As mains we had the veggie & spicy beef burritos which were huge and full of flavour, topped off with a side of rice and beans - we couldn’t finish them but the lovely staff provided us with takeaway boxes for us to box our own leftovers up to takeaway. Vegetarian meals can sometimes lack in flavour but this burrito really packed a punch and i didn't want it to end! We are considering travelling down to liverpool again just for the volcano balls!

I was excited to try this after the restaurants reopened after COVID lockdown. This was rated no.1 Mexican in Liverpool. I have to say I was slightly disappointed. The food is good don’t get me wrong but I’m not sure it deserves the no.1 title as there is room for improvement. I ordered the BBQ chicken fajitas. These were tasty and the portion sizes are huge. Could not finish it all. Also get a lot of wraps compared to other restaurants which are usually quite stingy. The restaurant was quite dark and unless your sat by the door and window, it is hard to see. Could do with a bit more light. Good quick service from the polite staff. Reason behind the 3* rating is because I have tried better fajitas but the food here is still nice.

First time here & had high hopes from all the reviews but it definitely didn’t live up to expectations... waited 45 minutes for our meals arrive, I ordered enchiladas and mine was luke warm at best, the chicken was very dry and chewy, the 2 stars are for the cocktail and the chips they were ok.

Amazing atmosphere and one of the best raspberry daquiris I’ve ever had! So much food for the price couldn’t finish it! Will come again !

The food here is lovely and the portions are huge but low price, fab service and lovely atmosphere!!

Visited Oct 2019 and thought the restaurant was amazing. Great atmosphere with family, amazing food, and such friendly and helpful staff. I must admit, I did not know how it would be following lockdown easing but I can safely say that the food, staff and service where once again amazing and I cannot wait to return!! well done guys and good luck getting back to 'normal' :)

I visited La Parilla with my friend today and we were amazed with the food and service we received! Food was served promptly and it was very tasty, definitely worth to try! I will recommend to anyone looking for a Mexican taste on Liverpool map. Marcin was very welcoming and Paula was serving us with a lovely smile on her face.

Visited because this was ranked no 1 on TripAdvisor so we were surprised and disappointed as the food was very average. Checking back through the TripAdvisor 'reviews'we noticed a huge amount of 5* reviews from users with only 1 review! Very strange that a restaurant has so many glowing reviews from people who only post 1 review....
