On Sunday Night I tried to get into the Club but I was refuse entry by the Irish Bouncer but it had nothing to do with me being on me own it's more of had something to him not liking me he just said no before I was even giving a chance to get a word in this also happened not long ago too & I am rather concerned about this & it's only because I had a problem of getting in the Club a while back when the Irish bloke was working on the doors & I was wondering if he has got a problem with me or something which he seems to have.

Great pub in Liverpool in the centre of Nightlife, useful to watch football match with friends.

really expensive on a Saturday night for what it is. £8 doubles are just not justified. It's not even a club. The club across the road was selling £2 doubles for goodness sake.

Mccooley's is a lovely place to be with family and friends, good service and good price

Top tier Bar/Pub, 2nd Tier food and the 3rd tier/floor smells of poop! Staff are nice but not enough of them. Good bar for watching sport!

Nice place to go on a night out

Me and my son went for a game of pool it was £10.00 for 1 hour what is o.k but the 2 drinks was £10.00 as well over priced for 1 larger and 1 coke . Tables are a little to close together need to keep asking people to move...

Only drank in McCooleys watching rugby all afternoon. Live band inside too. Good food and excellent staff service. The outside square part was rocking and very lively when we came out and had been all afternoon. Great vibe

They are horible! Inwas going in at 23:30 they told me, that only woman were allowed, and treates with no respect! So manh optiones in liverpool! Thia is the worst!!!

visited here on monday. nice bar however the blonde girl (assuming she was a manager) was one of the rudest people i have ever met. horrible to both customers and staff. made the whole experience awful. will not be returning if she is working. everyone else was lovely.

We didn't stay here. We came in for a drink and some food. While we were already there early, it was very, very quiet. It's quite a big vanu. There are pool tables if you want to have a little fun. We got Picky and had some food. There is a big menu and handy for little bits, as seen in the picture below. Good venu and busy at night.

The security guy was so rude and awful he wouldn’t let me in and im not coming here again until he is fired it was on tuesday 9 of January 2024

Came here today with my partner to grab some food and drinks and the place is lovely. Got some chicken tenders and potato skins which were amazing and the prices for drinks were cheap too. Had excellent service by Iqra who made sure we had everything we needed she was amazing. Would highly recommend this place.

Quite possibily the only Irish pub in the world where you turn invisible while standing at the bar. Nice bright, open space inside though.

On Friday 01/09/23 my little pen knife was taken off of me at the entrance which is understandable but when leaving I was told that I cannot pick it up until morning, got a bit annoyed but came back in the morning just to hear that they dont have it☹

Rubbish don't go. The music is stop and start, have a dj but don't think he does anything that's worth paying him. ABBA followed by west life followed by Bruno mars followed by west life again.. Appears to be the hot spot in Concert Square! The busiest club we found all weekend, playing solid 10/10 bangers. 🕺🏼 Imagine an Irish bar but everything’s heightened ten-fold! ☘️ Security staff were definitely more miserable compared with all other bars/clubs we visited over the weekend. 😤

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Aoife for looking after our large group of 50 people Saturday at Mccooleys in concert square. Couldn't have gone any better ended up staying there a lot longer than we first anticipated as we enjoyed so much. Nothing was too much trouble for Aoife and she kept the drinks flowing for us all from 12pm-8pm. What a venue staff were great, brilliant atmosphere. All the boys enjoyed.

Very bad customer services, the manager was so rude, the closed and I forgot my jacket there, I was asking them to give me the jacket with my car keys in it, I was even begging them but they refused and talked to me so badly👎🏻👎🏻

I found it interesting to get to know the bars in the area and I did and when I tried this place the guy rudely told me that you can't enter if you’re alone..::: / if you travel alone then what? very absurd rules. Worst place ever …..disappointing.

A day out in Liverpool City Centre saw my twin brother Stephen and I on Concert Square ,we decided to drop into McCooley's to watch the cricket on the big screen and this was the perfect pub to enjoy ourselves. I love the look of this pub ,it's big ,it's got multiple serving bars ,big screens ,pool tables ,great decor and furnishings and lots of seating options both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Concert Square . We were here on a really hot Thursday afternoon,we ordered a pint of beer each from Carling Brewery ,served chilled ,we settled back and took in the great pub we were in. Not my normal tipple ,more a real ale and craft beer fan myself but it wasn't half bad ,in fact I really enjoyed it ,iced cold and sparkling ,it was just what we needed to cool down with on a hot afternoon. We both really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. McCooley's is easy to locate along Wood Street on Concert Square. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday ,10am till 3am. Friday & Saturday,8am till 4am. Sunday,8am till 3am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

McCooley's is located on Wood Street and is one of the two McCooley's located in the city centre.There is one on Mathew street a brilliant area where there are many place's to have a drink and then theres this one on Concert Square. This one on Concert Square is an excellent place to visit as it offer's a superb range of food and drinks.The interior to this place is great with many interesting thing's relating to Ireland and excellent seating options both inside and outside.With many screens showing live sport they also host live music in here and when we visited here the Ashes was on and there was live music. We've been here lots of times over the year and it's alway's lively and it was really busy when we visited here in the evening.On our visit we had a couple of pints of Guinness'a fantastic beer which were perfectly served and really well priced.This is a great place to visit in a superb area and is well worth a visit.(This is my 2nd review of McCooley's in Concert Square). What a nightmare! As a group of middle aged ladies, enjoying the early evening on Eurovision night, we were delighted to get a table by the bar, and near the open windows. We enjoyed the live music and we were having a great time until I was struck on the back of my head by a plastic glass. Upon investigation, it appeared that 1 'lad' from a table of 4 individuals sat behind us had thrown it. We approached the individual in question who smirked, confirmed that he had thrown it and it had been deliberated. When we demanded an apology he stated that he was getting the bouncers to throw the 10 of us out because "I am the son of the owner, and they do what I say". The bouncers did get called over and they did, rather apologetically, ask us to leave. We will never enter the establishment again, and are disgusted by the way genuine customers, just out having a few drinks and causing no problems are treated. If you continue to choose the trouble maker over the customer your reputation will go down the pan.

Probably the worst Sunday roast in the history of Sunday roasts. Avoid like the plague, the Yorkshire pudding was burnt to a crisp and the beef could re soul your shoes, the staff, whilst nice enough we’re disinterested, obviously a severe management issue

paid 16 quid for a cider and a double rum and ginger, mrs said wow expensive and went and bought 2 ciders and 2 double whiskeys from wethers for 15 quid! when instantly within a blink some eastern european gorilla henchman had collared the young manager to kick us off our 'outside' table due to licence rules, my arse, wethers is in concert square also - just an excuse to screw you for coin. first and last ever visit to scamcert square. and wont be anywhere near a notcooleys.

Door staff are absolute tools, haven't a brain cell between them. Clearly bullied at school.

Can't do a justice to how slimey this place is. Got my phone nicked twice and know multiple people who have had similar experiences - it's a thief pit. Asked if the manager could check the CCTV and he just radioed the bar tender that he was too busy...at 4pm on a Monday, couldn't even be bothered to come down. Full to the brim of scummy boys who do all they can to cop a feel, wouldn't go near it if you paid me.

A nice bar with a good atmosphere and great live music. Staff are polite and friendly though I think some need a bit more training as they seemed unsure on quite a few things. Drinks were good with reasonable pricing. The food on the other hand was just very average. Dry burger, undercooked chips - just generally poor quality. I would go again for drinks but avoid going for food as it's not worth the money.

Rude waitress, we asked to order food 3 times, the waitress then went to another table and took their order. We asked why she was taking their order before ours as they had only just arrived. She laughed and said to the table she was serving “ who the **** do they think they are”! Unprofessional.

Just a top gaff with great staff

I was in the line, got to the front after wait for 15 minutes then pulled aside for literally no reason, completely sober and normal. Bouncers are d heads and got no sense of friendliness, would not recommend at all. 11/03/23

We had been treated fine until my boyfriend - who, by the way had been by my side all of the time we was in ‘Mc Cooley’s’- until he was dragged out, accusing him for something he had not done, on evidence that he ‘matched the description’ alone, despite him not leaving my side all night. It is disgusting to see someone accused of spiking girls without any sort of evidence at all. I would advise anyone to evade this club. As someone who is deeply concerned on matters of womens well-being it is concerning to me that innocent people have been mistreated for no apparent reason. If management want to speak to me feel free as I am willing to take this further as this is based on no credible evidence.

One of the big pubs on Concert Square and a pub I always look forward to visiting is McCooley's . This pub looks superb ,it's got a massive interior ,multiple serving bars ,a stage area,pubby decor and furnishings ,big screens to enjoy the sport and lots of seating options both inside and outside looking out into the busy and bustling Concert Square. We were here on a Thursday ,we were here as happy hour begun so we ordered two pints of Carling lager ,these were served in tip top condition ,we chilled out and planned out the day and night ahead while sipping our beers. Not my normal tipple ,more a real ale and craft beer fan myself but this lager was served iced cold and sparkling and was certainly very tasty ,it certainly cut through the thirst ,it was just so good being in such a great pub enjoying a delicious beer. Turned off the Everton-arsenal game with 10 minutes to go for some btec sport when they have numerous tv’s. You’re a bar in Liverpool showing a team based in Liverpool play. Who tf cares about some random dossy internationals. Awful standards not even to split screens. Don’t go.

Went here on 17 December for a Christmas meal, 8 of us in total, the meal was lovely and the service from the staff was amazing we couldn’t fault a thing. Aisling our waitress was so lovely, nothing was any trouble for her. We would go back. Definitely 👍🏻
