O’Toole’s Cafe in Coventry

I met up with my mum for lunch and she said that she fancied bacon and sausage, we usually head to Wetherspoons as our default but I suggested this place. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff add great food. My mum was very impressed and said that we will have to do it again when we have the chance.

JUST AMAZING!!! I took my 2 boys and my mum for breakfast and was honestly wowed by there thoughtfulness, kindness and generosity x A lovely lady gave the boys some colouring books and some soda bread to try while we waited for our food, we ordered a small but mighty, a great eight and some pancakes (coffees are fab too). The food arrived within a few minutes and the breakfasts were delicious! My son said his pancake was like eating a super tasty cloud lol (there big mind you). You can tell the ingredients they use are of great quality but it's still good value and they're cooked to perfection! She even gave our boys a couple of free chocs on the way out xx Thank you so much for the best breaky I've had in recent memory, we'll definitely be back soon and also for being so kind, you all made our day!

Had a great breakfast, very friendly and cost-effective. Wish there were more tables so we could go more often but the takeaway food still keeps warm. The hashbrowns are to die for.

There is absolutely nothing that could be improved here. The food, the staff, the setting - everything is ace. When you go, soda bread toasted is a must to try. As for the butter that goes with, one word to describe it & that’s lush.

We eat here for the first time yesterday. Best breakfast I've had in a long time. Everything on the plate was fantastic quality and cooked to perfection. The soda bread was the best I have ever tasted. Staff were all lovely and really friendly. Great prices considering the quality. Highly recommend and will be back soon.

We were told they were dog friendly so turned up after a morning walk. Staff were friendly and welcoming, explaining that we needed to wait for a short time as only certain tables were dog friendly. Couldn’t do enough for us. Dogs were delighted with their free sausage slices. Lovely cafe with great staff and delicious food and drink. Love to see pots of tea rather than dunk a teabag! Back for another visit this is an update on my previous renew, the cafe is just as good as my previous visits if anything it's got better, the service from the staff is nothing short of superb, the owner was not in attendance today but the staff who were entrusted to looking after the customers were so focused on looking after everybody it was a lesson to all other establishments and no doubt the reason it's without one shadow of a doubt the best eatery around everybody treated equally no matter who they were. Spoke to a gentleman from Northampton who was just blown away by the service.

My family and I had the pleasure, once again, of visiting O’Toole’s Cafe. The food, staff and atmosphere really are fantastic. The Soda bread and Cheese and Onion Omelette are heaven sent. Even the toast tastes good! The service is top notch and the free refill of coffee and tea is a welcome added bonus… Finally… the price… amazing! Thank you once again for treating us like royalty! Went for my wife's birthday breakfast today. She's a Cork girl so it had to be O'Toole's. Nothing has changed. Still great food and lovely attentive staff. I absolutely stuffed myself. It was heaven. I have a particular weakness for the white pudding.

I have been coming here once a week with my sister over the last couple of months. Came here today 29th November. They are extremely busy no matter what day of the week you go there. If there isn't a table free they will take your phone number, sit in your car and they will call you when a table is free - 10 minutes tops. No matter how busy they are, the food is consistanly fresh and perfectly cooked. We have been to numerous cafes, farm shops and garden centres and O'tooles is by far the best breakfast we have ever had. The soda bread is fantastic and out of this world. The staff are so polite and a credit to the owners. We love coming here for breakfast and have recommened family and friends and they love it too.

We went here for a lunch, the menu was mainly breakfast, with a few other offerings, sandwiched, burgers, baked potatoes and salads. We had the breakfast. As there was a 20 minute delay for food, a server gave us some soda bread to sample. Luckily we only had one slice each, as we couldn't finish all the meal when it came. We ordered 2 teas, which came in a pot. Again, a small thing, but after awhile the server came over and asked if we'd like a re-fill on the tea. Tables were being cleared and cleaned very quickly when they became vacant. Every item on our plates was tasty and as I said, we couldn't finish it. Another customer was sick at her table. ABSOLUTLY NO FUSS FROM THE STAFF. They consoled the father and cleared the table, steralising well, as a team. Brilliant resonce. Every staff member I spoke to was very friendly and the kitchen worked well together. Will return.

We come here maybe once a month as a little treat, and the food is simple cafe fare, but it's done really nicely. The egg yolks are always runny, the toast is perfectly golden, the fry ups are exactly as you'd want them to be. They also do humongous deep pancakes, which are a hit with my daughter, and although they do other lunch items on the menu, I've never strayed from the breakfast food! Perhaps the most striking thing about O'Toole's though, besides the lovely food, is that all of the staff genuinely look happy to be there. Most restaurants you go to, you expect the staff to be polite, but the staff at O'Toole's look like they're all considered part of the family, and this is extended to the kindness shown to customers too. It's honestly no wonder it's always packed at main meal times - it's worth it!

Our family called in for a Sunday brunch today. It was my brother - in - laws birthday. The food was well - cooked and delicious. It was also very good value. The staff made a fuss of my brother in law, which he loved. We will definitely be going back. Thank you O'Tooles.

As a family group we decided to begin a birthday celebration day with breakfast at O' Tooles. My wife had been there with a friend during the month of August and came home raving about it so we were looking forward to it - we were not disappointed. In every respect this is a great place to enjoy breakfast, the food was well presented, beautifully cooked and plentiful with a distinctly Irish theme e.g. white pudding, soda bread etc. The staff were exceptionally polite and even want Happy Birthday to my father in law before we left. Definitely recommended! Heads up - remember to bring your appetite with you.

I had fasted the day before for a test I was having at Walgrave hospital, so needed something to fill me up. I had decided on a Wetherspoons breakfast, but as I passed, remembered this place. As it was a Thursday lunch time there were a few tables available. Lovely owner and staff and a proper Irish breakfast, just what the doctor ordered.

Beautiful breakfast, the food was well cooked and they catered for our changes and add-ons to the set breakfasts with a smile, nothing was too much trouble!
