Had a lovely lunch today at Stretched & Fried in Alfold. Lovely friendly staff and a lovely lunch. Well worth a visit. This is definitely a great addition to the village. The staff have changed and the option of different menu items is good. Will definitely be back again soon.

Had two pizzas here yesterday. Husband had a bonfire pizza, mine was a goats cheese and caramelized onion one. My pizza was on a gluten free base, it was excellent. So nice to be able to get a g/f based pizza. Well done to all the team at Alfold.

What a great place for a lovely evening meal. We had called in for lunch a couple of days ago and were so impressed that we came back for an evening meal. We were able to take our own wine, although an alcohol licence is being applied for, We had antipasta, Pixar and ice cream. All were excellent and served by such lovely people, for whom nothing was too much trouble,

Visited for the first time this week and honestly, can't wait to return. The food was lovely, fresh, terrific choice and well presented. A very relaxed atmosphere, in smart, modern surroundings, with friendly, knowledgeable staff on hand, willing to chat and explain some of the food choices. Would highly recommend and will be returning a.s.a.p.

I never normally write reviews but I was pleasantly surprised and very impressed with this new venue and will definitely be going back. The atmosphere, staff and food were all great and my family (including teenagers and an older family member) all had a really lovely relaxed lunch. The location is very accessible with easy parking right outside. I thought the food and also small shop with a nice selection of items were both well priced compared to other places selling similar items.

What a great evening at the ESC, with the fantastic Tobias Reutt. Tobias is full of passion for food. He spent several years in the Tuscan countryside where he got into zero waste food production. The menu is full of amazing tastes. All veggies are from his allotment garden. Absolutely outstanding experience!

Warwick Arts Centre, University of Warwick Warwick Arts Centre, University of WarwickWe came here and ordered food, the two people I was with received theirs and it looked fairly nice. After an awkward wait for mine to arrive, I told my friends to start rather than let theirs go cold. When they'd nearly finished, I thought I'd ask a member of staff about the whereabouts of the food I'd ordered. Finding someone to ask was a mission in itself, and when I did, he told us they're going to start cooking it in the kitchen "within the next five minutes". Seeing as 45 mins had passed since we ordered, we were running out of time so I asked him to cancel that part of the order. To ensure I got fed, I nipped out to the shop and ended up buying a reduced pastie and sitting in the restaurant eating that whilst we waited for the bill. Needless to say, none of the staff noticed as they were too busy neglecting other customers, who were also trying to get their attention to complain about the shoddy service they'd also received. It was all rather comical really! It's a pity as they were very friendly, one of whom was hilarious, but clearly incapable of running a restaurant. We prefer dining in a place where customer service is an actual reality. On reflection, people pay for a 'fawlty towers' dining experience in London. I do honestly think this restaurant would do really well if it marketed itself as comically incompetent and sold tickets like it's a theatrical event. At the very least people would then know what to expect 😅
