Our Dollys in Allerdale

We came here because of the reviews we read and we were not disappointed. We are both veggies and it can be hard sometimes to get decent food. The veggie fry we had was one of the best and very decently priced. Staff were lovely and friendly. If we're back in Ballycastle we will definitely call in again.

We needed a place for breakfast because we had missed the breakfast that was included at our B&B due to being out hiking. So we wanted to find something that the locals frequented. Nothing extraordinary but great service and a friendly staff. Just what we needed until our next meal.

Went here last Sunday morning with 2 friends. The staff were really friendly and the food was very good. We ordered the large frys which were not at all greasy and good value. Would recommend and would return again.

This place has it all - friendly and helpful staff, comfortable and clean dining area, good choice of tasty dishes and drinks and the price is right! My family and I ate here 3 times during our week - we had breakfast, lunch, starters and drinks - all really good. The Belly buster fry was unreal HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Our favourite place to eat in Ballycastle when with the family. Everyone finds something they like on the menu. My personal favourite is the veggie fry-up. Friendly staff. Excellent coffee. Great value

Back a couple of years ago I had opportunity to have a chat with the owner of our dolly's As a trained chef ( myself ) I advised her at the time to keep providing good honest decent food at a reasonable price and her customer footfall to her door would grow week by week ... Another visit by my wife and I yesterday was again met by good honest decent food and the price was very affordable.. Our dolly's is just simply the best it's a very well run business with no airs of graces quality food at affordable prices and at 57 years old I doubt if I'll ever see our dolly's closed Many happy years to come our dolly's Decently food at a decent price is the key to success Keep up the great work

Friendly, relaxed and welcoming cafe. Excellent cafe food and prices. Clean toilets. The breakfast is very good. Service prompt.

We enjoyed breakfast at Our Dollys twice on a recent trip to Ballycastle. (Would have been more, but our B&B included breakfast.) Both visits the service was good and food delicious. My girls also thought the lattes were some of the best of anywhere over our 9 days in Ireland!

I've always heard people talking about how good the food and service was here but honestly I was disappointed. When we walked in, it was maybe half full but not terribly busy, we were shown to a table by a very grumpy faced young girl who stopped to the table and literally threw the menus across the table. We waited for 15 minutes before I went to till asking to place an order, I was told there was one staff member taking orders and there was 1 table ahead of us then ours would be taken. 20 minutes and 4 tables later we finally managed to get our order taken. The whole time the rest of the staff just seemed to be standing around with their hands on their hips and sour expressions on their faces. The food did arrive quickly but was pretty basic, chips sausage etc were hard and dry. Dont think ill be rushing back.

We visited Our Dollys for breakfast (brunch) on the recommendation of our Airbnb host. We were not disappointed. We were seated in a booth and the staff were prompt and friendly taking our order. My husband opted for the large fry whilst I had a pick and mix of various "fry" items from the menu. We both had large helpings that kept us going throughout the rest of the day. Would highly recommend.

This lovely little cafe has the warmest welcome and the best service. The food is amazing. We have enjoyed our breakfast each time that we have been here. The staff are warm and welcoming and I would highly welcome this place if you are visiting Ballycastle

We had breakfast here twice whilst staying with friends in Ballycastle. The staff were so welcoming especially Shelley who entertained us by flattering our husbands! They have an extensive choice of breakfasts, from traditional to pancakes or eggs Benedict all very reasonably priced. There is a real community vibe, the staff show a genuine caring approach towards customers which was lovely to witness. They also have a great selection of cakes. If you happen to be in Ballycastle please pop in.

The place seems to be one of the main places to go in ballycastle for breakfast or lunch as its really busy at those times. We went at 10am, and luckily there was still a few tables available at that point. Everything was fine, but...

Wonderful cafe, with incredibly friendly and helpful staff. We visited for breakfast a couple of times on our recent holiday in Ballycastle. The Bellybuster breakfast sets you up for a day’s adventure along the wonderful north coast of Ireland.

Little gem of a spot on the Main Street. It’s very family friendly, with super friendly staff. The food was yummy and good value. No card payments though only cash, but worth the visit!

Ended up in Ballycastle as original 2 restaurants near Whitepark Bay were closed due to Covid Bleeps. Excellent attentive service, could not do more to meet your needs. Good for food and Ice Cold Drinks, which is more than many restaurants serve, often room temperature...

We visited here after a day exploring the north coast for a late lunch and it was just what we needed. We ordered the Goujons and Open Club Sandwich which I needed to tweak slightly for intolerances. The service was good and any requests we had were catered for, all in all our lunch was great

Good value and decent portion sizes, you wont leave hungry. Had a fry and its hard to beat. Kids loved their food too. Well laid out for social distancing and staff very friendly, will be back.

We visited on a Monday afternoon and left 1 minute after walking in the door. We told the man at the door we wanted a table for two and he directed us where to sit. There were two tables next to each other and we incorrectly thought he meant for us to sit at one by the window. My partner went to pull out the chair when the black haired female staff member shouted at us. She roared “you can’t sit there “ ! She had her hand on her hip and was rolling her eyes and gesturing to the people at the table she was serving as if to say “how stupid are these people”. I said to my partner come on we’ll go somewhere else and just left. I don’t know who this lady is, if she owns the place or is an employee but I have never felt as badly treated anywhere I have been. If it was my business, I would remind staff of the importance of a smile and a hello when customers choose to spend their money in your business. Needless to say we went and spent our money elsewhere. Save your money and drive on by. We have received great service in other places in Northern Ireland. There are plenty places that will appreciate people holidaying in their own country this year and will treat you a lot better.

Great cafe for breakfast, selection of cooked breakfasts including pancakes which were declared delicious. I had the veggie breakfast which was good quality and really filling before a days sightseeing. They also have pastries and cakes available which looked lovely but we were too full to try. Staff were friendly and doing a great job keeping everything spotlessly clean in between customers. It was good to see Covid-19 precautions being taken seriously.

I came across this gem while in Ballycastle recently. My partner and I seen a queue outside to get in and thought to ourselves this must be good. Well I was not disappointed! The staff were so friendly and attentive and the food was out of this world. Everything on the menu sounded amazing so it was hard to pick. I got the salt and chilli goujons with garlic chips which were to die for! Please dont ever take them from the menu lol everything was so reasonably priced too. Well done guys and cant wait to be back

We popped in for breakfast we had Good food, it was well priced and they have friendly staff. Their cakes look lovely although we were too full after our breakfast to try any.

Popped in for a cuppa today. Found the staff very friendly and welcoming, and the cafe was well presented and maintained. While I didn't eat on this occasion, the food that other diners had looked lovely, and they seem to do a good range of meals and snacks. Will definately pop in again.

I stopped here for a bite of lunch on a Wednesday at 12:00, I was just passing through and wanted a quick bite. Food looked good but unfortunately the service was Rubbish. When I went in Isat down but no one came near me for 10 mins, I got up and went to the till where a nice lady gave me a menu and informed me she'd be right over, I sat for another 20 mins until I got fed up and left. It does look busy but unless you have the time dont bother. I hate to see the service on a busy day

Super cappuchino and very nice cakes. We liked the rice crispy bars which were massive. The fruit scones were also very nice.

I have been eating here for over a year and I have never once had bad customer service. The girls who work there are pleasant and interact well with customers. Food is also of a high standard at all times.

Nice spacious cafe. Lots of room. Good menu. Nice view onto the high street. Has infant chairs. An exvellent cafe for senior citizens, and mothers and babies.

Had a really lovely lunch, best lasagne I’ve had in a while. Huge portions and great value. The staff were so attentive and friendly. Thanks ladies.

We went here for breakfast. It was microwaved to boiling point, couldn’t eat it for about 10 minutes. It was horrible and the staff were unfriendly and rude. Drive on past this place

Wanted something light but filling! This place fitted the bill. I had their homemade vegetable soup with wheaten bread, followed by a cherry tea scone ( heated) and pot of tea. Ticked all the boxes for me. Would definitely go back.

On a photography holiday so we were up and out at 05:00 in the morning to get to some locations, headed back to Ballycastle for breakfast, had already read the reviews for Our Dollys, warm welcome followed by an excellent breakfast.

We went on Sunday morning for breakfast. There is a great menu with loads of variety to choose from. My friends had the veggie fry and the standard fry, which they both really enjoyed. I had scrambled eggs, toast and bacon which was also lovely. We would certainly recommend it to anyone and if we’re back in Ballycastle we’ll be back.

Stopped here during our coasts causeway road trip. Plenty choices on offer. Refuelled for the road trip ahead. Staff friendly. Busy spot

Fine selection on the boards and in the cabinets. A very friendly welcome on entering the bright space. The family ordered 2 chicken burgers and the lasagne while i ordered chicken ciabatta. The food was plentiful and tasty. Cappuccino was gorgeous.I would like to add the ciabatta had cranberry sauce and some stuffing on it too, one of the best sandwiches I've ever had out. .

Les gâteaux sont excellents, les chocolats chauds et cappuccino également. Le personnel est gentil, la salle est propre. On recommande.

Called in for mini fry while heading to Rathlin 100% staff class food class and extremely reasonable prices

We called into Ballycastle on Thursday around lunchtime and wondered why there were flocks of people making their way into the restaurant. One look through the window and a glance at the blackboard menu outside and we were in there too!

Can't fault a thing in hear forget the menu specials board and cold counter we suit me to the ground fresher than fresh every time top class

Popped in again for the large Fry....well TOP CLASS....this place is going from strength to strength....I took time to speak to the Owner today..

Restaurant is clean, modern and light filled. Service was very friendly. Hubby had burger and fries that was good but not special. They made a custom order chicken salad sandwich on sourdough bun for me which was delicious. I wish I'd had room for desert. They also serve hot meals and we saw a couple of big lads digging into curry. I recommend.

We were on way to Donnellys cafe in Ballycastle(7/8/17) but when we got there the food offerings were limited so we decided to look elsewhere and just up the street I spotted Dollys.

Our Dolly's is a welcome addition to the eateries in Ballycastle. Its wide and reasonably priced selection of home-made savouries and sweets makes it an excellent choice for breakfast and lunch.

Brilliant place to go for Breakfast,lunch or afternoon coffee. Staff are very friendly and the food is brilliant all home cooked.

This is a busy cafe used by locals. Serves good standard basic food at a reasonable price. I have found the waiting staff to be very pleasant but the lady at the till can be off hand and distracted, talking to other staff and customers while dealing with taking your order. Clean and good value.

We stopped off here for breakfast whilst visiting Ballycastle. The large fry up was an obvious choice - plenty of food and great value at just over £5 for the brekky and the coffee! Everything was really delicious.
