Excellent service and food .5 adults and 3 children who all enjoyed the lovely food.special thanks for the fairy keys for the children.

We live at the end of the lane and have only just made the effort to visit....huge mistake. Calling it a coffee shop and eatery does it a huge injustice. The food is restaurant quality and then some. Freshly cooked and served by fabulous staff. We will definitely be there again, again, and again

Lovely independent coffee shop. Great friendly service, good atmosphere, lots of chat between customers. Excellent coffees, lovely mugs and good cake. Can see why it’s always busy!

Enjoyed a delicious coffee and scone after Marypert Prom parkrun. It is a very quirky cafe with a friendly owner. Highly recommend it xx

The tea room was shut last time we were in Allonby so we were pleased to see it was open. We were stopped from entering at the door in a slightly uncomfortable manner. We asked if there was a table for 2 which there wasn’t. We asked if there might be one later and were able to put our name down and to come back in half an hour. Our waiter was really polite and friendly but in general, the service wasn’t great and we had to ask for our drinks when we saw 2 tables who arrived and ordered after us and was clear ours had been forgotten about. Our table didn’t get cleared for a while despite several staff walking past and it was only when we grabbed the attention of someone and said we’d like to order cakes that it was finally cleared. The whole atmosphere wasn’t particularly friendly or nice. Unfortunately a disappointing experience and we wouldn’t go back in a hurry.

It isn’t every day you get to eat delicious food with a view like this!! Waterfalls. Lakes. Mountains and lots of local ales to sample. So friendly!! So delicious!! So stunning!!

This was our second time at the Sunset Supper Club and we were so chuffed to have managed to secure a table on Valentines Night. The food was exceptional and the service absolutely top notch. We felt so special from start to finish, i have no doubt that we were sat at the best Valentines table in the whole of the UK. We can’t wait to visit again 🥰

Simply fabulous. We recently had afternoon tea while on a girlie weekend. The views are stunning. The hosts are so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you, and as for the food …. It was absolutely amazing Highly recommend a visit.

Wow what a place. I called in yesterday with my Aunty Jacqui and Mike. Had a wonderful lunch of a Duo of Soups with homemade bread. Ian was fantastic at front of house. Even a piano player while we had lunch. Wonderful cake and tea to finish. What a fantastic place.

... indeed they do! Imagine taking a rare 300+ mile journey to revisit your childhood memories, including that of the pub that you were born in. Imagine turning up at the said establishment, full of excitement and anticipation only to be shouted at "You can't park here, I'm expecting people for Sunday Lunch" - maybe the Landlord was psychic and knew we weren't his intended visitors, or he only serves his local clientele with charm? Imagine then trying to hold a conversation with said Landlord about the past, who clearly wasn't interested, simply citing "things change". Indeed they do... just not always for the better... as evidenced at The Bush (previous name, from back in (much) better times.

My wife and I,visited for lunch today,we arrived at 12.15,for our pre booked table at 12.30,we were shown to our table and drinks order taken,the same lady came back and took our order,we had Mushrooms topped with haggis and cheddar cheese & Korean chicken strips,followed by Stilton & mushroom pie with REAL chips & Gammon and double egg & REAL chips,all the food was excellent as was the service,we will definitely be back as we have a birthday present voucher to spend,see you in the spring.

Love it when a catering van comes to a camping site, so was really pleased to read that Magic Mountain Keswick pizza van was arriving on Friday. We preordered a Chorizo and Truffle Dream and arrived a few mins before collection time and they were just preparing them both. We’ve eaten many pizzas and have to say both of these were up there with best. Perfectly cooked with a lovely thin base and tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend, you will not be disappointed 👌🏼

We have just had our second consecutive Sunday lunch which was just as good as the previous week. Plenty of meat, perfect veg, all the trimmings and wonderful gravy. We have booked for this coming Sunday and looking forward to it already. The home made desserts were wonderful and the service was incredibly friendly and efficient. We have also just had an evening meal - we both had the madras curry which was delicious and we have already booked for this coming Friday evening to enjoy another curry. The staff are all lovely and the atmosphere is very welcoming and comfortable. We are new customers to The Lowther, but will definitely become 'regulars'.
