Portobello Wood Fired in Allerdale

We ate here last night. Although the food was good a few mistakes were made with our order (again) My partner ordered an alcohol free beer and didn't realise it was actually an alcohol beer until he'd drank half of it. Luckily he hadn't had any other drinks and was able to still drive us home. I made it clear that I was vegan but I was suspicious of the food when it arrived so asked. It wasn't vegan and apologies were made with a promise not to charge us and a small dish of same food was presented to me, unfortunately this was cold in the middle. When the bill arrived we were charged for the dish, which we paid for but we didn't leave a tip and to be honest this has put us off visiting again.

Booked a table at another local restaurant. Sat for ten minutes without being acknowledged!! So thankfully we left and ended up here where the food and service were exceptional. So much to choose from on the traditional menu and the house wine was of a good standard. Thank you team we will be back
