Disappointing. Baked potato small, chunks of cheese on side, small glass of beans. Bagel had cream cheese on side and small bunch of grapes on side. Soup was nice. Olives were actually frozen which was weird. Was like the sort of food I throw together at home but with 3 smoothies cost £40

We popped in after a cold hike and it was great. Really fresh food. The hot chocolate is proper chocolate - the white one is the only white hot chocolate I’ve tried that actually tastes like white chocolate. Lovely interior too. Would be nice to get some more breakfast options.

We often call in the afternoon for coffee or smoothies. The service is always very friendly and professional and the drinks are spot on. We haven't sampled the food on offer other than the cakes, but have seen others and it appears to be well worth the cost. Excellent drinks and service, what more can you ask for.

This little gem is behind the market square and serves fabulous snacks (the humous bagel was excellent - it was as if the bagel had just been baked). As we had been in the fells for several hours we felt we had earned a brownie and a coconut flapjack. Both were exceptionally good. The outside might overlook Bell Close car park but don’t let that put you off as the food is worth it

Called in this morning for the first time, will definitely be going back. Very friendly, the ambiance was just perfect (the background music was great). The views over to Latrigg and Skiddaw are wonderful, would highly recommend 😁

The welcome and food are both fantastic. They serve a range of savoury and delicious looking cakes. We didn’t have cake but they looked good! Between us we had soup and a bagel with Brie and cranberry - both were absolutely delicious. It was some of the nicest soup I’ve ever had along with good coffee and a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows for our daughter. Definitely worth searching out - absolutely delicious food and very friendly, pleasant service.

We went all around Keswick cafes and not one had any sweet treats that were both gluten and dairy free other than here. I’m so glad we found this place as the flapjack was incredible and a scrumptious chai Latte. The lady behind the counter couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Thanks so much!!

We'd been in the town centre on a very busy Saturday afternoon. Started looking for a cafe just for a coffee and sit down, everywhere was packed. Spotted a cafe board down a tiny alley off the high street and was so glad I followed my gut!! This is a little cafe on the front of a jewellery shop/workshop. The service was quick and with a lovely smile. We only wanted a drink, but for future ref, there were other menus items like waffles and bagels etc, some vegan options too. We will definitely return!! A beautiful view as well and a little touch of binoculars in the window to have a peek at the hills nearby.

Without doubt, one of the nicest places we have been to for a while. The best carrot cake and espresso caramel brownie we have tasted. Make sure you go down one of the passageways off the High Street to find this lovely cafe with very pleasant staff. Just wish we lived closer

If you are in Keswick go to the Bench for a delicious (locally blended) coffee just off Bell Close Car Park. Great welcome, super surroundings and fascinating to watch the jewellers at work. Well worth a visit.

The marriage of scone and brioche produces a delicious scioche served at Fulton with butter and a choice of jam and cream. Don't miss the opportunity to try it. The addition of freshly ground coffee made this a memorable mid- morning visit which we repeated the following week!

What a lovely time we had here - just a snack for the afternoon, and it was most excellent! It's not a big menu, but the food is so good it doesn't need to be. Their speciality is what they call a scioche - someway between a scone and a brioche roll. I didn't have it but my Dad greatly enjoyed his! It came with cream, lemon curd and blueberries - all beautifully presented and excellent quality. The rest of us had waffles and ohmygoodness they were delicious. Again, presentation was great and the taste was wonderful. My brother almost had a spiritual experience with his I think! The service was also great - all the staff were very helpful and super-friendly. I'm fairly certain we'll be back before the week is up - highly recommend a visit here!

Whilst on holiday in the Lake District we visited Keswick. After a good walk around we decided to head back to the caravan in Cockermouth. Before we left we decided to have a drink. Looking at the menu to The Bench my wife and I decided to also have a scone, while my mother in law was going to have a Belgium waffle. The food was first class. Fruit scones made with brioche flour served with cheese, chutney and grapes. Never tasted a scone so good. All washed down with some Mawsons Dandelion & Burdock. Beautiful food, in a lovely tea shop, with friendly staff. We will definitely be coming back, just got to remember to keep an eye on the parking .

We popped in almost by accident as this cafe is right on the car park so very convenient. A really good strong espresso and a perfect cup of Earl Gray tea to accompany the scone.

Called in to this cafe last Saturday my husband and I and our two bichon Maltese dogs, had a lovely cup of coffee and a slice of homemade cake and received a very warm welcome. The cafe is extremely clean and warm with the added advantage of the possibility of buying a bit of bling...in the form of diamonds!!! What could be better, get your husband relaxed, plied with coffee and cake and then KERPOW! Hit him with the diamond buying!!! Will definitely be going again

You can enjoy a coffee whilst watching and learning about jewellery making and seeing individual bespoke items being made. You can have your own bespoke piece made or look around at the gallery of pre made items. A selection of cycling jewellery is unusual and great for the cycling enthusiast.Well worth a visit if your in the area and cycling friendly too!

It looks like just a jewellers from the entrance, but through the doors you will find a lovely cafe with a very warm welcome. Walk through the cafe and you will find yourself in the jewellers. On the menu was a selection of hot & cold drinks, snacks, scones, waffles and soup. For the dog, water and free treats are available (unlike many other places - the dog treats are available if you wish, the staff don't just feed your dog), even blankets to pop on the floor to make them cosy.We sat in the window enjoying the view across to Skiddaw and Blencathra. We had hot chocolate and coffee with belgian waffles - food and service absolutely excellent.

We came across The Bench on a chilly day out in Keswick, really pleased we did! The hot chocolate is fantastic and there are three varieties to choose from- milk chocolate, white chocolate or dark chocolate. There is also a great selection of cakes and chocolates to choose from. We will be back!

Our first visit to Rathlin Island and of course we availed of The Hungry Seal! The food was absolutely amazing, we were in chippy heaven. The chips are probably the best I've ever had and the battered sausages to die for! The other half had the haddock supper and claimed it was the best he's ever had. Decent portions, the price is up there but not much different than your average chippy to be fair. The girls were lovely and had the food ready in good time. We would take a trip back to the island just for another feed at the Hungry Seal lol 10/10 for us! (Not my picture, found in Google search)

Absolutely loved the bakery! Extremely friendly shop owner, and even had a gluten free option which was much appreciated! I would highly recommend this bakery, and will definitely be revisiting next time I visit Keswick!

... indeed they do! Imagine taking a rare 300+ mile journey to revisit your childhood memories, including that of the pub that you were born in. Imagine turning up at the said establishment, full of excitement and anticipation only to be shouted at "You can't park here, I'm expecting people for Sunday Lunch" - maybe the Landlord was psychic and knew we weren't his intended visitors, or he only serves his local clientele with charm? Imagine then trying to hold a conversation with said Landlord about the past, who clearly wasn't interested, simply citing "things change". Indeed they do... just not always for the better... as evidenced at The Bush (previous name, from back in (much) better times.
