The Round in Allerdale

We usually visit The Round when we stay in Keswick. The burgers were very tasty and filling. I had sweet potato fries and they were so delicious. The staff are always friendly and polite. Can’t wait for another visit.

Second visit here for food and didn't dissapoint. Burger was delicious, pure chicken breast, no fried batter etc and fries were equally delicious. Lovely atmosphere and really friendly staff..cocktails were fab too!

We've eaten at the Round quite a few times and I have to say that the quality of the food is always excellent. The burgers are juicy, full of flavour and comes with an interesting mix of fillings. The burgers are playfully names after some local hills. However, I was disappointed as my favourite burger (the High Ruben) wasn't on the menu - I choose something else (Pike O'Pickle) that was almost as good, but not quite. I'm considering a petition to bring the High Ruben back !! Overall, fantastic food, brilliant service and whilst not the cheapest place to eat, is well worth a visit - easily our favourite burgers (ahead of Honest Burger and Byron). Would we go back - yes (especially if the High Ruben makes a return) Would we recommend to others - yes, and frequently do.

We walked past this Burger bar venue several times on Friday night, each time there were several people queuing outside waiting for a table. Today, Saturday, Keswick was a lot quieter and we were able to go straight in. We both had speciality burgers with cheesy fries. Very good food and excellent service. Would recommend.

While having a midweek break in Brampton with family we decided on a visit to Keswick for the day. After a walk about the lake etc we decided to visit the town centre for some lunch, my daughter had heard of good reviews about The Round so decided to give it a try. We queued outside as doesn’t open until 3pm and pleased we did, first in the queue with a steady line forming behind us. We were invited in at 3 o clock by a very pleasant gent and asked to choose a seat wherever we liked. A waitress was with us within minutes taking our drinks and food order. Drinks arrived and didn’t wait too long after for our food to arrive. Wow! We chose Katsu burger, hoisinstack burger and the pulled pork topped burger served with crinkle fries and a choice of topping for an extra couple of quid. All food was outstanding. A massive 5 stars for both service and food we will definitely be visiting again when in the area and will definitely recommend to anyone looking for top class service and the ultimate best burgers around. Well done to all, I wish we had one of these near our hometown.

Excellent burgers with good meat-free options. Sweet potato chips with lentil chilli was very good. Visited on 2 separate trips to Keswick and will come back next time.

Very happy with the burgers we had here, including the option to replace the bun with a salad which my wife really appreciated. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the garnishing with the burger, and fries, were all great. We had to wait a while to get in on a Friday night, but it was worth hanging about

Fresh takes on the Classic Burger. Great sides (crinkle chips / macaroni cheese) washed down with interesting Lager and IPA. Fab service with a great attitude topped off an impromptu visit to this little gem.

Called in today for lunch when they opened at 3pm, luckily we were near the front because the queue was long. The staff were amazing considering the place filled completely within 10 mins. Staff attentive and always smiling, food was served promptly and tasted lush. Definitely the place to go for a hearty burger.

Wow! My partner's Mum had spotted The Round's famous chocaholic sundae recommended in a newspaper and knowing how much he loves the Lakes sent a photo to him. She very sadly passed away earlier this year and he never got to try it before to give her a review. Our plan this week had been to try the sundae in her honour, and having noticed it was no longer on the menu - I emailed ahead to ask if their chocolate brownie dessert might be able to be made into a sundae instead. Nacho replied telling us that'd be no problem. When we ordered we were totally overwhelmed to realise not only had they been out especially to source the ingredients for the sundae as it was originally, but they also added it on the house as a lovely gesture. Nacho and his Team were beyond hospitable and truly went above & beyond for my partner. We'll never forget their kindness. Plus we have to mention... the sundae was DELICIOUS just like everything else we tried. A very special place ❤️

Amazing food, atmosphere and service. Extra friendly and efficient staff. It’s difficult to decide which burger to have as they all sound so tasty. Food allergies catered for without fuss and waiting staff speak to the chef about ingredients they are not sure about. Slight alterations can easily be made. I felt confident ordering a gluten and dairy free meal rather than having to forgo meat with the vegan options. The vegan options also sounded lovely. Lastly the option to swap a burger bun for a salad is a great idea. The salad is full of tasty ingredients and far from a bog standard lettuce leaf. Great value and a very tasty meal. 100% recommend.

A visit to Keswick is not complete without a meal from the round, great service followed by great food, i can recommend the whole menu twice!!

Burgers are delicious, loaded fries and nachos great too. Service is very good, quick and friendly. can get quite busy and often queues in front of the restaurant. Cocktails are great and very tasty, I can recommend the cocktail sharing board.

This place is absolutely wonderful. I came for my birthday and they gave me two free mini cocktails which I thought was so lovely ! The restaurant was packed and we did wait quite a while for food but it was worth it. The burgers aren't the biggest but you can tell the high quality of all the ingredients. Every single staff member was friendly and approachable and made the experience even better. The menu choices are fantastic. My only criticism is the chairs we sat on were plastic and a bit uncomfortable but other than that, an amazing place if you love burgers !

Went to this place for the first time this evening after reading amazing reviews. Was greeted by a pleasant member of staff on entering. No queue & offered a choice of two tables. Quick service to place our order. Food was served fast & it was presented so well & was so tasty & hot. Had a cocktail which was very nice. The decor & atmosphere is lovely. All staff very pleasant & efficient. Give this place a try you won’t be disappointed.

Went there on 30th November, beautiful window seat people watching drinking parachute drop and eating a fantastic chicken burger. Lovely atmosphere, delicious food and warm friendly service, a most enjoyable time with family.

We called in for dinner and had a cosmic pullover, it was mega! Deffo be coming back for one of the best burgers I’ve ever had 👍👍👍

I really like the Round in Keswick. The food is simple yet tasty. I find it is a little overrated but I do really like the atmosphere here. Unfortunately, you can't book here for dinner which is slightly annoying. Overall, I would highly recommend if you are in Keswick.

A queue at the door had us worried, but they sat 9 of us surprisingly quickly. Food was incredible with no one at the table disappointed, drinks where also great after a day in the hills, especially the strawberry Daiquiri. The service was top tier and again for 9 people drinks and food where served very quickly for a busy Saturday night Fantastic options for veggie and vegan which was really nice to have as a primarily burger based theme. Could not recommend enough.

Recently had a takeaway from the round. What a great service. Phoned answered within two rings and food ready for the time I asked. Burgers were unbelievable! We also had bacon and cheese fried and wow!!

Absolutely amazing burgers, we have been before and they never disappoint. I would strongly recommend the Summits Burns it's absolutely delicious. I would also say to get a side of crinkle cut chips as the burger alone might not fill you up. Our waitress was super friendly (we didn't catch her name) and made the whole experience that little bit better.

I visited The Round with my husband, 11 year old, 9 year old and puppy. We all absolutely loved our meals. I am gluten intolerant and a vegetarian and had loads of choice on the menu. We will definitely visit again the next time we are in Keswick.

All the staff were very friendly and attentive, Gabe was particularly helpful. We had a Beet the Pack burger and a crispy chicken burger with chilli beef loaded fries. All excellent! We were able to make ammendments to the burgers to suit our tastes, which was great! The Beet the Pack is normally a vegetarian patty, but my partner fancied trying it with grilled chicken and wasn't disappointed. No pics as we were too hungry 😅. We will be back.

We loved it here. Food was yummy, servers were brilliant with allergy advice. Yes it’s busy, yes there’s a queue, but that’s because it’s good! Two burger, two fries, two beers. £45.

We visited The Round as they offer four vegan burgers which all sounded great. I ordered a courgey pike and my husband the beet burger, crinkle and sweet potato fries. As soon as your order is taken they bring clearly labelled bottles of two vegan mayos to the table with ketchup. Our burgers arrived with a vegan label on top and looked absolutely gorgeous. The burgers were awesome, loads of flavour, lovely bread bun and we left not a morsel. Service was spot on too and The Round should be on everyone's list to visit if you like burgers.

We had the Summit's Burn and the Pullvellyn which was one of the best burgers and just what we needed after being on the road for so long! Alongside the melted cheese sauce crinkle cut fries, it made the perfect lunch The atmosphere was lovely with great use of colours in the decoration.

Great food. Worth a visit if you're in Keswick. Its a walk in only, they don't take bookings. However the queue goes quickly.

BRILLIANT!!! We would go back in a heart beat. All the staff were incredibly friendly and super accommodating. I was so pleasantly surprise that 99% of the menu was or could be gluten-free (GF beer too!). We all really enjoyed our food and can’t wait to go back again.

We visited the round as a family on a mini break to Keswick. Options to eat out in Keswick are rather limited and are typically pubs or the odd Italian pizzeria. We thought we would try this place as it had good reviews. We knew that we would have to queue in the evening but that the queue would go down quickly. We arrived at 7pm but had to wait about 30 mins outside and then an hour inside. Overall the food was good, but a little overpriced for what it was. The wait was longer than we would have liked. I would still recommend it though, but be aware of the potential wait time.

Great burgers, really fast service, cheesy chips were amazing and so was the Mac and Cheese. Interesting burgers and the cocktails were really well made. Good relaxed atmosphere, it's in a great spot in town. Lives up to the hype. Runs on a first come first served basis, so there can be big queues at busy times in peak season, worth the wait though.

Without a doubt, the best burger and fries I have ever had. 10/10. Super crispy crinkle cut fries I could keep eating forever. A delicious juicy beef burger, super fresh and with the correct amount of pickles (loads), great selection of sauces and you have to get the kimchi slaw! I went for the refreshing ‘parachute’ lager/pilsner and the service is spot on, everyone super friendly. This is a must go when in the Lake District ❤️ I will be returning!

I had the basic vegan burger and sweet potatoes fries, My husband had the spicy vegan burger and normal fries and my 11yo had a bespoke vegan burger (because she's fussy!) It was the best burger I have ever had. You order fries separately and unless you have a very big appetite I would suggest sharing a portion of fries. We will definitely be back.

YUM!!!! So, you can’t book, you just turn up. There might be a little queue but go with it, it moves quickly and it’s so worth the wait. The food was totally delicious. Special mention for the chips because they are different level ! Had a great night here thanks to the amazing service. Brilliant, helpful, fun staff.

Lovely place in the heart of Keswick, food was great and service from Kieran was fantastic. Welcoming staff and lively atmosphere, the personality of the restaurant and the pride of the location oozes through in all the decor and information around. Will absolutely be going back. (Vegan and meat was fantastic).

My boyfriend and I ate here on a Saturday night, as he'd been before and highly recommended it - and I can see why! The staff are all so kind, and the interior decor really cool! The burgers are super - I had the katsu chicken one and it was so tasty. The crinkle cut chips are to die for, and we absolutely loved the beef chilli nachos. The frozen cocktails are also a big plus! You can't book, so it's first come first served, and we queued outside for a while, but can't complain as we weren't rushed when inside. Would highly recommend.

Simply the best burgers you’ll find anywhere. An absolute must go to if you’re in Keswick. Fantastic veggie options and dog friendly. Wonderfully friendly staff too. Can be busy but always get a table after a short drink at the bar.

The food quality is garbage , I had 2 burger with my wife for £11 each and the burger bread looks like from 3 weeks before and the price is super expensive , avoid this place. Junk Food

Obsessed! Such great burgers & incredible cocktails. Despite not being able to book, we didn’t have to wait and got seated straight away. The menu was varied and had some delicious options. Caters for veggies, vegans and gluten free! Loved the small touches and the homemade sauces. You need to try Tommy’s Margarita! Nacho was the best - such great service from him all night long. Could have stayed for hours!

Amazing food, great decor, and excellent staff!

Four adults (one of whom is in a wheelchair) and two dogs. The staff at The Round couldn't do enough to help. The food was amazing. There was a great choice of burgers to choose from and they tasted absolutely amazing. The loaded fries were so good! I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will return.

Fantastic lamb burger and sweet potato fries

Staff were lovely, seemed to be too many on shift for the amount of customers though. Selection of sauces were tasty, burger was slightly undercooked. Music was great. Service was fast.

Waiting staff were fantastic! We had to queue for a table but the servers were well organised and kept tables moving as quick as they could. The burgers were amazing and so tasty. Try the ginger and strawberry cocktail, it was delightful. Will definitely be back!

Friday night for four people. A short wait, great food and drinks. Particularly enjoyed the Fully Loaded Nachos and the Fellstar Martini. We were served by Harriet, who provided amazing service throughout. She was attentive and noticed when we needed drinks etc. Our favourite eating place in Keswick.

Very busy ... be prepared to queue outside, saying that if your a group of 2 and at the back of the queue and only big groups in front of you they do get you in. Once in the staff are awesome and the food is equally great. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. Overall a great experience..... We went twice on our 3 night stay !!!

This is the second time I’ve been to The Round. Went with friends Saturday tea time. You can’t book here so you just have to turn up and queue. Thankfully we only waited a couple of minutes. For it being the height of summer and a very popular restaurant the service was first class. The waiters/waitresses we encountered were cheerful, chatty and helpful and quite slick. The drinks came as fast as you wanted them. The food is equally as impressive. Well made and tasty. Would highly recommend.

Wasn't sure about the queuing system, but it was a short wait before being seated at the bar, excellent drinks selection, not long after we were shown to our table. Burgers were really good with lots of options I had the Ruben and it was everything I expected and more the crinkle fries are a taste sensation. At no point did we feel rushed and the staff were all really friendly.

We were recommended The Round and ended up coming three times during our holiday! I really liked that the staff were attentive, and the food was extremely good.

I never normally bother to write a review but after eating here I just had to!! Friendliest staff I have ever seen probably the nicest burger I have ever had the desert was also amazing. I was shocked by the speed of the service I have waited longer in takeaway’s before 100% recommend

A little crowded but for good reason! The burger and loaded fries were amazing, however I was not a personal fan of the popcorn chicken and did not think they were worth the money. Overall a great experience, not priced too badly, and I would visit again!

What an amazing place to find after a great day exploring the lakes. Burgers were AMAZING, service was excellent and the atmosphere of the restaurant was fabulous. Really could not recommend this place enough.

Very good hamburger restaurant! Often a bit of a wait outside but it's quick! Very warm welcome and charming waiters! Delicious hamburgers as well as desserts (2 desserts only)

Over the food was great, just some small bits that let it down. The beef and chicken burgers are cooked perfectly and taste amazing. Fries are solid and the cheese sauce tastes great. However, Nachos were very dry and disappointing, cheese and bacon fries barely had any bacon, the bacon in the burger was also very chewy.

Amazing food and service- exactly what you need after a day of hiking. Often a line up out the door but with plenty of space upstairs and out back the wait is very quick. Hot and fresh burgers, perfectly juicy and with top notch toppings. The crinkle fries and delicious and always served with 3 types of sauces. Service great- especially Fern who was exceptionally friendly and organised. Definitely recommend.

Truly amazing, a family of 7. Ages from 2yrs, 5yrs and 13yrs old we all ate every bit of delicious food and drink. Brownie went down a treat too. The service was fabulous so friendly and great atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back from Yorkshire to taste the best burgers 🍔 we have eaten before. If only there was 6 stars 🌟

One of the best services I got in the UK is here. I have tried the pickle O’pickle burger & Katsu chicken sandwich plus the Nachos all are neat 👌🏼
