Absolutely love this brunch spot. It can be quite busy but it's well worth getting a table. There is loads of choice on the menu - myself and my friend each got the pancakes. The biscoff pancakes were incredible. Big food portions, lovely hot drinks. Brilliant and friendly service. We also got a 10% off voucher for the Indian Tapas restaurant that's in the building in the evenings. I just wish I lived closer to Keswick !

Stumbled upon this cafe after a long walk. Lovely place, staff & food 😋

Staff were lovely, no faults. Came last year and had a great brunch so came back when we were in the area. Got a full English with black pudding, the chef served borderline raw black pudding (which the staff happily took off the bill) and sausages which were pink (which I’m okay with because i’m an animal) but definitely weren’t cooked to legal temps. Avoid the full English, i’ve had better at a Spoons - get the Benedict which looked great.

A true gem in Keswick, LRB ticked a lot of boxes for me as it had vegan options and was also dog friendly. The breakfast I had didn’t disappoint! The staff were also incredibly attentive. Wouldn’t hesitate to visit again when I’m next in the Lakes.

Visited here yesterday, we did just walk in and they asked if we booked which we hadn’t but we were more than happy to sit on the bar stools looking out the window, I think next time I would book as it was busy but we were unsure of when we would be visiting!! However they have more seating upstairs!!! Pancakes were beautiful, you could taste the buttermilk in them no problem, you get the option of cream or ice cream on the side! Wish we lived closer to sample more of the menu! Would return but would defo book, but we popped in on a Monday morning and were just passing the area!

This was our second visit here and once again the food was impeccable. There is so much choice on the menu including pancakes that we were spoilt for choice. This time I ordered the Shakshuka, my wife had Avocado on toast and my dog had a doggie sausage. The food is very tasty and the service excellent with friendly and approachable staff. It’s our favourite eatery in the lakes. It does get busy so it’s worth booking ahead. We will come again and are already debating what to have next time.

Brilliant vegan breakfast. Everything was seasoned so well and tasteful, I didn't even need to reach for the salt and pepper. Great spot for any vegetarian/vegans visiting Keswick. Super filling and doesn't leave you heavy. Great attentive staff and warm atmosphere.

Really lovely staff, friendly and welcoming. I had the kofta flat bread, super fresh and tasty, more than enough for lunch without making me feel stuffed. My friend had the salt beef bagel which she said was delicious

Super tasty food, decorated lovely and super friendly service ❤️ I went for the passion fruit smoothie which was very refreshing… I also got the eggs Benedict with streaky bacon and added a hash brown. Super yummy food and brilliant portions. If your staying in Keswick, this place is a must.

Superb find for breakfast. The food was glorious, the staff very friendly and attentive, the place itself lovely an clean and nicely presented. Dog friendly too. An easy 5 stars. The staff did all insist on using the word “guys” at the end of every sentence, not really a valid reason to grumble…

The most friendliest and warm welcome from the staff members. We rocked up without booking a table and got very lucky with getting a table outside. The food was 11/10. The smoothies were delicious and as were the hot drinks. One of the nicest hot chocolates I've had in a long time. It was nice trying the Indian pancake for breakfast as it was something so different and unique. Would definitely recommend and come back again but I do advise booking ahead.

Came here with a large group (9) and the staff were super accommodating. The food was delicious and prepared quickly. The coffee was excellent and I highly recommend the LRB brekkie!

We really enjoyed our vegan breakfast here. We were welcomed and attended to immediately upon entering. The food was tasty and the place had an upbeat, positive vibes. I would happily return. 5 stars once the menu is all plant-based!

What a lovely little place! We decided last minute to try and eat here, and were able to get seated immediately despite not having a booking. The LRB brekky was super tasty, I loved the homemade hash brown it was so different to what you’d usually expect. I have to admit the pancake stacks also looked lovely, so will have to visit again to try these out :)

Lovely engaging staff and food was delicious. I went for the tandoori cod on sourdough flatbread - came with a soothing coconut chutney and a lip-smacking Kashmiri tomato chutney. My mouth tingled for ages afterwards in the the best way 👌😋. Wife had one of their fluffy buttermilk pancake, yog and fruit combos - she was impressed too! Well worth a visit

Went this morning for breakfast. Can't recommend this place enough. Staff are always friendly and polite. Had the classic pancake stack as the pancakes are the best around in my opinion. It's no wonder they are always busy but food and drink are worth the wait.

Not disappointed after reading some promising reviews. Nice and quiet out of season so straight to a table, and proceeded to have the most delightful breakfast. Salt beef hash and smashed avocado on toast with a side of black pudding. Cooked to perfection and the coffee was delicious too. Definitely worth a visit x

Day out to beautiful Keswick, wanted a coffee before heading home and at 3.50pm (they shut at 4pm) asked if it was too late to grab a coffee, and typical of the friendly Cumbrian people we were welcomed in no problem. We sat down and had lovely freshly prepared lattes, everywhere was lovely and clean with a bright & funky interior…and it’s doggy friendly 🐶

Food was lovely but it is expensive - I suppose that's Keswick for you. May be unfair to say this but being dog friendly and family friendly means that the two times we visited, there were dog fights going on under the table next to us and screaming kids on both occasions. Maybe the owners could put up a sign about appropriate behaviour as it made both times we visited quite stressful and we would consider not returning.

A lovely spot for the best pancakes I've ever eaten. Me and my boyfriend couldn't decide what to have cause everything on the menu looks delicious, we ended up splitting a halloumi BLT and a stack of classic pancakes, both of which were delicious. The service was excellent, Ellie was so friendly and helpful we will definitely be returning. Can't recommend enough

Absolutely superb venue for food - what a find! The pancakes were sublime and so fluffy and light and the Croque Madame was incredible. One of the best breakfast/lunch meals I’ve had in a while. 10/10 in all respects. Will visit again!

We always have exceptional food and service at LRB. Today started off just the same. Until the rudest server told us we have 15 minutes left until we have to vacate the table, her tone was abrasive and rude and completely unnecessary. We advised her we had actually ordered more food and were waiting on that, her response was that we should’ve been told before we ordered. I’m not really sure what caused her to be so rude. It really left a sour taste in our mouths, especially as we were celebrating a birthday with family up from Kent. We had pre-ordered our food and it didn’t come out as soon as we came out (which is in no way an issue, until we then get attitude about ordering more food and drinks and exceeding our time limit!) I would 100% understand if the place was rammed and they had people waiting, There were at least 2-3 tables free upstairs and at least another 10 seats downstairs free, also we had ordered more food and drink, so it’s not like we were sitting there sipping tap water and not spending money. When the server then did bring our sweet dish out, we weren’t provided with any cutlery to eat it with and had to ask for that… again, normally we wouldn’t care less about that, but the fact she’s taken that attitude and tone with us, gets your back up and then she causes a delay in us being able to eat our food and leave. I think it will be a while until I’ll want to step foot back in here now, as I feel the treatment received today was completely unjust, we were never rude or had any attitude for her to behave the way she did.

What a great place! We went for breakfast and instantly felt very welcome from the friendly staff. The menu had lots of choice from so many nice dishes which caters for different dietary requirements, all of which sounded delicious. The lotus biscoff pancakes were amazing!! The staff were extremely efficient, friendly and the food fantastic. We can't wait to go back for more!

THE place to go for brunch in Keswick. Just what the town needed, a trendy, modern establishment which caters for all ages, whether it's after a fell walk or just a Sunday morning breakfast. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Can't comment on food, however staff were rude so we left. Whilst we were told there was no tables available and we got seated at the high chair seating next to the door, a couple arriving 2 mins after us got the empty table right next to us. We did not even want to argue so we left but they told us the most ridiculous excise. Work on your ethic!

Been here 3 times as a group of four and every time everyone was very happy. We've had a wide selection of choices from a salt beef bagel to waffles and from a dosa to a croque madame. Everything is always great. If I was to pick fault, the single toilet isn't ideal and being a dog friendly place leaves you somewhat at the mercy of the courtesy of dog owners. There is always one isn't there!

We had a really wonderful brunch here with great service! We had the classic stack of pancakes which were light, fluffy and delicious with plenty of maple syrup and bacon. And the classic breakfast was fresh, non greasy and delicious. Star of the show was the homemade hash brown! Definitely would go again, thank you!

Excellent place and would go again and recommend. I had the Salt Beef Hash and my wife had the Salt Beef Eggs Benny. Both dishes were very good as was the salt beef. Very well cooked, nicely presented and good portions. Reasonably priced considering the quality. The service was very friendly too.

Lake Road Brunch in Keswick is a lovely place to stop, fresh ingredients and warm/friendly staff. Plus it’s then only a short walk to Friars Crag for a beautiful view of Derwentwater.

Absolutely unreal breakfast & service ! The staff are all so friendly and it was just an all round great time we had. We didn’t have to reserve for a table of 6 which isn’t something that is normally easy so thank you so so much !!

We enjoyed a short break in the Lake District and stayed in Keswick. We found LBR on our first morning and came back each day! Service was friendly and welcoming, a great team of staff. The food was excellent, and were recommend the Smashing Avocado...

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING. Highly recommend. It is off the beaten track, but the food, service, atmosphere, everything. AMAZING. Dog friendly with a dog menu, dog bowls provided by staff. We had pancakes for 4 people, with iced coffees and a puppocino for the doggo. We can't wait to come back.

Returned to our favourite in Keswick and it didn't disappoint! Always a warm welcome from the very friendly and knowledgeable staff, plus the food and drinks were top notch. Not to be missed if you want a special treat whilst in Keswick!

What a fantastic place! We stopped off for lunch here yesterday and we’re warmly greeted by the staff who found us a table quickly, welcomed our dog and took our order. The good is absolutely amazing, i had the veggie LRB breakfast, which was delicious...

We visited twice and had some excellent street food and a fine brunch. Our evening visit was the favourite of the two as we tucked into tasty puri and shared some Pinotage.

First rate food and service, would 100% recommend! We tried several different places before discovering this little gem, we’ll definitely be back!!

I have been to LRB for a number of visits since it opened and have tried varied choices from the Menu. These guys know what they are doing. The staff are attentive, friendly and hard working. Never yet had a bad meal or have had...

We had a wonderful experience at Lake road brunch! Greeted with a friendly welcome and offered vegan menus which we were very happy to see. We went for the classic pancakes and biscoff pancakes to share. Both vegan options and both DELICIOUS! Overall, great service and great food. Will save it for our next visit to Keswick 😀 thank you!

The experience could not be bettered. Superb service and food. Our only concern.......they need to improve their marketing, which suggests lower standard food than that received; "brunch/cocktails/pancakes" undersells the offer.
