Very friendly family run pub. Warm welcome and Great bitter! Lovely and traditional with lots of trinkets around the walls and a Christmas gift room was an excellent idea. Although didn't have any food love the idea of being able to order a takeaway to be delivered and eaten with plates etc provided on Saturdays. Also pull up Vans on week days, great! Will be there again on my next visit to the area.

Great pint of Guinness here, great atmosphere with loads of old nic nacs hanging on the walls etc.... they used to do great homemade food but it appears they only do cobs now but freshly made. We missed the ham, egg & chips and the homemade pie last week!

Haven't been in for a long time, nearly eleven years, used to go a fair bit when I worked with Mr's father because he liked it,though the beer was good I found they weren't very friendly to non regulars, certainly not to me,maybe they thought we were gypsies or something,I've no great desire to visit again.

The most wonderful little traditional, family run pub. We moved to the area 3 years ago and have made this our favourite local. Some wonderful food offerings, a selection of local small businesses which they support and provide a variety to suit all tastes. As well as cobs, nibbles, sandwiches and chips most daytimes. Very dig friendly, we always take our two little yorkies here and they love it. We find it to be a charming traditional place to visit. Cosy and warm inside with a pretty garden terrace area at the back on nicer days. We don’t like to tell too many people as we don’t like it getting too crowded. However after reading some negative reviews I decided to write our views on the new inn.

I have used this place for many years mainly to meet friends from nearby. The place has always been dirty ( part of its charm to some degree) but recently when I visited the family ( not staff) were rude and I/we felt most unwelcome - the beer was awful, I had to leave it was that bad. It seems that the place has become even more clicky- the food is ok but consists of no effort pop ups with varying success - the fish and chips are good but that is the only good point. There are plenty of other local pubs for food or just a quick drink where they are actually pleased to see customers - perhaps that will explain the lack of customers here.

What to expect from a trip to New Inn: A small, quaint pub in a village setting with a warm heart. Owned by friendly people, they serve hearty ales and have a respectable selection of wines and spirits. The interior is fantastically decorated with trinkets, vintage art, etc. Overall feeling of welcome, and that even newcomers are treated like one of the locals.

So nice to visit a 'proper pub'. We hadn't visited for years, but it hasn't changed. Thank goodness! No TV or music or children running around. They would have a job to run around anyway as small cosy rooms totally packed with a collection of hundreds of intriguing items. We ate fish and chips cooked in the chippy van which were probably the best I've ever had. Very friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be going again to sample another 'takeaway'

Sweet little pub with chatty bar staff and an 'antiquey' old world feel. The place is adorned with Irish memorabilia and mementoes brought back from Ireland. You could seriously spend an hour just looking at the antiques and bric a brac all over. There are lots of nooks for sitting having a private conversation or for a group of you to sit together. Some tables are out back for a country outdoor feel, and some (less) are out front on the pavement for summer evenings - some a bit close to the railings where cars whizz by. Food is available from food trucks or sandwiches from the pub itself.

The New Inn is a small family Irish pub and gives a very traditional feel with its decor. The selection of drinks is good and there are more soft drinks on offer than just orange juice and lemonade so this made a refreshing change! With Wednesday's pizza night and Monday's fish and chips, this pub offers food and is a refreshing change from the old frumpy carpet-tile pubs around this area.

This is a great family friendly local pub and restaurant with the added bonus of bed and breakfast rooms out back. The food here is fantastic and of such a fresh quality- local word says the meat comes from the local farm butchers just down the road! Would definitely recommend this pub to anyone whether it’s for a quick pint or a lovely meal.
