Baba Ganoush Kitchen - Jerusalem Falafel
Easton, Bristol, City of
10/03/2024: My son passes this place every day on his way to work
Wanted to try it out after reading the reviews
Wow! I cannot rate this highly enough
We all had the falafel wrap
The flavours- absolutely incredible
I love falafel but they're always a bit dry or oily
These were perfect
The owner was utterly delightful and we wish her continued success
Sensible prices without cutting the quality
Fabulous

The Cinnamon Stick
The Bartons, West Oxfordshire
25/08/2023: Had a great lunch, food was incredible, as was the service. We sat in the lounge outside which is a beautiful setting.
23/08/2023: I’m not quite sure how this place has got the positive reviews it has. Aside from the polite young waiter all we experienced was overpriced, poorly cooked & presented Middle Eastern food.
My chicken shawarma looked like it had never seen a griddle or flame….it was pale, grisly & wet.
The environment is grubby, make shift & not very welcoming at all.
There are a few good Middle Eastern restaurants within a 10 mile radius of this one….I’d suggest trying them instead.

Tania's of Hampstead
Hampstead Town, Camden
20/02/2024: Really super local cafe, was up in Hampstead for years and now down by Swiss Cottage station. A much needed local cafe. Owner is super chatty, very friendly with my kids and everyone around. A rewind and chill pace of environment, I highly recommend their tea and homemade chocolates. Daughter also loves their waffles.
25/01/2024: A wonderful cafe selling delicious Lebanese deli treats and the best chocolate as well as miracle juice which are made by the owners. Ghassan and Mo are such lovely people. So welcoming and friendly too. I love coming here and always leave feeling relaxed and happy 😃 💖

Nomad Lounge
Eynsham and Cassington, West Oxfordshire
01/12/2019: My daughters and I were staying in Eynsham to visit nearby Blenheim & Oxford. I booked a table via Facebook. When we turned up there were no other diners & we were asked to just have the shared mezze for three as due to a large party the night before they could not offer the full menu! We got the impression that if we had not booked a table they would not have opened at all. However the mezze were delicious, plenty for us & baklava to finish. A slightly bizarre meal but very good food & friendly staff. Good value for money.
04/11/2019: We went to eat here without booking a table, we were seated straight away however despite there being only one other couple in the restaurant service was a little slow, our food order was taken before our drinks order. We chose a meal for two sharer which was totally delicious even though we were not exactly sure what was going to be dished up. We were definitely not disappointed with the food.

Cedrus Restaurant
Sidcup, Bexley
07/03/2024: A small family run Lebanese restaurant which offers a genuinely warm welcome and excellent food. My friend and I shared some spicy hummus and some falafels (probably the best I have ever had!) to start. I had the lamb cutlets which were seasoned and cooked to perfection - still sligtpunk, beautifully juicy and packed with flavour. The chips were amazing too - crisp on the outside and light and fluffy inside. All of this served with a very nice salad. My friend spoke equally highly of her kaftan meshwi - skewers of charcoal grilled minced lamb.
It was a delicious meal served with justifiable pride. Highly recommended.
06/03/2024: This is a small family run Lebanon restaurant in Sidcup High Street. Never been here before but walking past it we saw it was quite busy and came aback about 45 mins later after it had emptied out a bit.
The lady was very friendly inviting us in as we thought we left it too late in the evening. However no issue.
The restaurant inside has a nice décor which takes you to another country, ( I assume Lebanon) we liked the window brick framing of the green garden view set in the wall
We did not know what to have on the menu all sounding tempting but without the knowledge what it was! So we opted for a set meal for 2
It arrived and it was a huge plate of various meats and rice with salad.
We we eat it all, I found it very tasty without blowing your sock off, I would say more tasty than spicy.
With a drink and small dessert around 58 which is very consistent for a meal out at time of writing, I would recommend, and will visit again for night out.

Julia Domna Cafe
Thamesfield, Wandsworth
28/08/2023: I was expecting too much because of the 100% rave reviews here.
It is clearly called a cafe and I should have anticipated the cafe quality food received, rather than the great restaurant food implied by the reviews. Most of the dishes we tried were just good enough (acceptable in a cafe and at cafe prices), except for the kibbeh which were actually the best we’ve had in quite a while.
Service friendly but slow, in an almost empty room. Not surprising, after we glimpsed the elderly waiter also doing the cooking in the kitchen downstairs! Everything clean upstairs, in the restaurant, but kitchen hygiene debatable.
14/08/2023: We visited as a group of 12 and tasted a wide variety of delicious food including several dips, humous, fresh and zingy tabouleh, warm bread, cheese filled filo rolls, aubergine in a light tomato sauce, lamb shawarma and the tastiest, crispiest sautéed potatoes with garlic and peppers. However, whilst we enjoyed every mouthful of all the food we were served, for most of us the dish we couldn’t stop eating was the chicken shawarma and the rice. Both were utterly exceptional, cooked perfectly and ridiculously moreish. The rice was sprinkled with a mix of cumin and nutmeg and I never in my life eaten rice as delicious as this. The care that had gone into each dish made us feel like we were eating at a family table and not in a restaurant, and the owners made us feel so welcome. We would love to return one day (sadly we aren’t local) and we extend our sincere thanks to the lovely young lady who served us and worked so hard all evening to ensure everyone had all they needed.

RosieChai TeaRoom
Twickenham Riverside, Richmond upon Thames
30/09/2023: Extraordinary Lebanese breakfast with labneh halloumi and rose petal jam.
Exceptionally nice calm people with a real passion for teas. 22 tea options on the menu.
05/12/2022: Rosie Chai is easily found in picturesque Church St at the heart of Twickenham ( great people- and dog -watching from passersby) . The coffee is top class as is the lovely Polish waitress. We often take a spicy chicken wrap home for lunch. Inside the decor is textiles, colour, glimpse of courtyard greenery at the back and knowledgeable quotes about tea on the walls. Tiny place to look forward to.

Lebanese Wrap House Banbury Oxfordshire
Banbury Grimsbury and Castle, Cherwell
03/05/2021: Took my kids here for lunch yesterday - we had the falafel wrap and hallumi wrap and some vine leaves.
The food was delicious and lots of people around us seemed very happy with their food.
The smell of the charcoal grill added to the experience.
We would recommend.
Only downside, was not a great selection of drinks....
31/05/2020: We ordered from here the previous evening but Just Eat delivered to the wrong house. We reordered and picked up ourselves at lunchtime. The food was excellent and ready when they said it would be.
I’m glad we didn’t miss out on the opportunity to try this place.
Well worth a visit. Just DON’T use Just eat!

Samir's Restaurant
Urmston, Trafford
01/12/2023: Lovely family run restaurant, which adds to the experience and authenticity. Great food at affordable prices. Service very good. We enjoyed the lamb and chicken. Enjoyed the bring your own drinks. Desserts also very nice. Well worth a visit.
11/11/2023: I love this place because it's so welcoming to families. It's one of them places where you can fill the table with food, with everyone catching up and talking with the kids moving around your own table going between your seats talking to different generations of the family. It's what real family food is all about. The food makes it even better. It's really authentic made with care by the family that run the restaurant. The price is really decent too, especially if you bring your own wine (There's a small corkage fee to cover the charge of removal of the empty drinks bottles). It's well worth going it's really authentic, friendly and it's easy on the wallet.
