Aladdin's in Northampton

We have visited Aladin's and also had take aways - they never fail to provide excellent food. The dishes are flavoursome, the meat is tender and moist. The onion bhaji's are the best I've ever tasted. Service in the restaurant was fantastic, attentive, friendly & prompt. The delivery service is also prompt and the food has always been delivered still hot. The food is reasonably priced and the portion sizes are good. We would highly recommend Aladins which is now our go to curry house.

It's an amazing place with just really nice food. Spicy and flavourful just as well as comforting! Peshwari naan and chicken tandoori curry is just too good of a combo. Salty and sweet

We turned up without booking but would recommend that you do book as there were two large groups who arrived just after us. The service was impeccable and the staff especially Ali were really friendly. The food was well cooked and presented and tasted delicious. They don’t serve alcohol but on a positive note you can take your own and they don’t charge corkage! Well done to the chefs and all the staff. We looked at reviews which gave it a 5* and we can see why. Thank you. See you soon

The staff were amazingly helpful in understanding to different dishes and the food was amazing. The chef was able to cater for all of dietary needs, couldn’t have asked for anymore.

Three of us popped in on a Monday evening and were all really, really impressed. The food was excellent, one of the fish dishes in particular was outstanding. The staff were lovely too. We will DEFINITELY be returning, lots of interesting things to try on the menu. Thanks!!

Excellent food at reasonable prices, friendly service We didn't know about the free car parking opposite in the Plough inn just register your number plate. Also didn't know about the no drink licence Didn't detract from a very tasty lamb madras, on the hot end of madras for me but lovely. Wifee had chicken rogen and again very tasty and the chicken fell apart but was still noist.

A decent curry in fairly spartan surroundings. Prices are average but BYOB is a big plus. Without that I probably wouldn't go!

We happened into Aladdins after watching the Saints game. With no reservation they squeezed us in and welcomed us to the small restaurant. The menu was expansive with lots of options. We had samosas and onion bhajee for starters which were well seasoned and yummy. We even got given a second plate of samosas as they thought the first were over cooked. I thought both were delicious. For mains we had various mains as well as naan and stuffed porata. The naan was light and fluffy and the porata crispy. The curry’s were individual and tasty. The price was very reasonable for good portions and you could even bring your own alcohol if you wanted. We will certainly go back if we’re in Northampton again.

I had lamb jalfrez, which was quite delicious, followed by keema rice and spicy keema naan. The meal was of exceptional quality. Food quality: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Ali provided exceptional recommendations and displayed extensive familiarity with the menu.

We have been visiting Aladdins for some time now and can honestly say that we have never had a bad meal. The whole experience at Aladdins is one of 'family'. You are made to feel as if you are part of their family. Imran & Mox go out of their way to make you welcome, always with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is incredible. All freshly cooked and delicious. But it's the little things like a couple of free onion bhajis, which are outstanding, by the way, that make this place stand out from the rest. Keep doing what you are doing and we will keep coming back for more.

I haven’t eaten in the restaurant but have ordered many takeaways and have always been really pleased with the food. The staff are really good at accommodating our vegan diet and offer good alternatives to the meat meals. I trust them in making sure that all of our meals are 100% vegan; they have even called me back after placing an order to inform me that they’ve discovered something I ordered had milk in it - I’m not totally convinced that all other businesses would do the same. Totally recommended.

After seeing such amazing reviews in volume, we just had to visit. Unfortunately we saw nothing reflective of the reviews. A very very average Indian, as people who visit many it doesn’t feature near the top of any list. Not bad. Just not a meal or experience reflective of the great reviews.

Excellent food. Best Indian I've eaten. Very friendly staff. Reasonably priced too. Be aware that it's BYO for alcohol but this keeps the cost of the evening down too

We are regular patrons of Aladdins, a family owned restaurant going back 30 years or so and we think the food they offer is probably number 1 in Northampton; we like Indian cuisine and haven't found any others to compete. Good selection of interesting signature dishes as well as old favourites. The staff are genuinely friendly and if you are in the mood, it's also easy to strike up conversations with total strangers on the neighbouring tables, all of course agreeing the place is wonderful! Naturally the fact you can take your own booze as they choose not to have a licence, has not influenced this review in any way!! Seriously, the food and service is really good.

After a vegetable pakora starter we tucked into a variety of three side dishes – mushroom bhaji, chana masala and tarka dal with rice. Taking our time and always keen not to order too much and end up feeling uncomfortably full, we enjoyed all the beautiful aromas, textures and flavours. The staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and polite and being able to bring our own vegan friendly wine, with the generous policy of no corkage charges, made for a very reasonably priced and satisfying dining experience.
