During a recent group dinner at the establishment, our main meals were significantly delayed. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, with only a few other occupied tables, the service was exceptionally slow, even for those who had starters. It appeared that the majority of their business was takeaway orders. Additionally, one of the staff members sprayed an unpleasant air freshener that left a lingering, unpleasant taste in our mouths.

I'm visiting from the United States and the friend that I'm staying with lives across the street from this restaurant. If I had known this was going to be some of the best Indian food I've had in my life I would have eaten here every day for every meal. Everything was perfect and delicious. Chicken was tender, curry was flavorful, food was hot, Naan was excellent!!!

Food was awful! Couldn't eat it as the chicken was tough and the curry was tastless. Had many good meals from here in the past but I won't ever be coming back again. Very poor and for the price is a disgrace.😔

Very nice Res, good quality food at the correct heat for each dish, possibly a little watery on some dishes but still tasty. Bring your own alcohol, not a terrible thing as this is normally an expensive part of the meal.

First time here and loved it. We have just moved to the area and we're going to try various different establishments but we will probably just go here. Food was tasty and came out hot. There was plenty of choice and they even accommodated a slight change that one of our friends asked for.

We tried the takeaway and it was delicious! We ordered a variety of starters, mains, side dishes and rices. All we hot, fresh and perfectly spiced and balanced. It was £65 well spent. The whole family enjoyed themselves and now we’ve found our new regular. 100% would recommend and use again. Our compliments to the chef.

We have been using Cinnamon for a while now and the food, without exception has always been superb - both takeaway and delivery. We love our Indian food and the thing we love most with Cinnamon is the spicing in their food. Too many restaurants rely on chilli heat in their spicy dishes but with Cinnamon you get the heat but with bags of flavour from the other spices. Meat in the dishes is always of excellent quality. Whenever we’re asked to recommend an Indian restaurant in Northampton we never hesitate to put Cinnamon’s name forward - Indian food at its best!

They are absolutely stunning chefs. The ambiance is cosy and the staff is so prompt. A pleasure to have been served dinner over there

Placed order for collection. Ordered meat kebab roll which should have come with rice. Get it home to find no rice. Ordered sag aloo but received Bombay aloo. Too cold to go back out again.

Tonight we had a takeaway....food not quite as ordered but have to say excellent service, food hot and delivered half hour before expected..thank you..we enjoyed very much..we will try eating in the restaurant next time

Always great food cant recommend enough

I don’t understand how people are writing such positive reviews for this restaurant. I visited yesterday, ordered various non-vegetarian dishes, but when they arrived, they were all the same, with only the gravy being different. I give this restaurant and its food ZERO stars.

Sorry Cinnamon but you are definitely going downhill. I have been many times over a good number of years and you used to be the best, and gradually the service has been getting worse but the last time was certainly pretty dreadful. Sunday evening, we were the first customer group in and got served last after 5 other tables(just 5 tables in all night), then only because we hailed a waiter. 4 waiters for 5 tables all evening and we had to ask for service very time. Chewy poppadums to start with(sorry we asked for replacements) food took ages to come, and we had to ask 3 times for more soft drinks(we don't expect fast food but 2 1/2 hrs for 2 courses was a long wait). Food was tasty but lacking in spice, then you tried to charge normal menu prices not the Sunday banquet special price (£60 difference to the bill) and no apologies when asked for it to be corrected just a 10 min wait whilst you had to go check with a colleague - sorry but this may well be our last visit

Been looking for a good Indian since the star of India closed down, have tried a few but all no good until I found this place. King prawn jalfrazi is amazing. Been here twice now and won’t use anywhere else . 👌🏼

Come here fairly often. Staff are so friendly and Jay is a great manager always happy to have a chat. Food is always top notch and very reasonably priced, especially compared with other Indian restaurants, everything tastes fresh, cannot recommend enough. Get out and support your local businesses!

Decent food at a reasonable price. Most dishes are not over spiced, though I am sure that they would make your curry hotter on request. Friendly efficient staff. Usually a nice relaxed atmosphere. Bring your own booze.

Avoid on Christmas Day at all costs. Although the atmosphere was nice, the price you pay for the quality of food was absolutely shocking (I have no issues paying if the food is good). Starters - ok/ish although onion bargis were incredibly dry. Prawn cocktail was ok. Main - the dinners all came out at different times. The tikka masala was ok but not hot enough and sauce too stodgey. The Christmas dinner was appalling. The Turkey was all the bits you usually wouldn’t eat but give to a dog, the stuffing was very burnt, the traditional Christmas dinners were cold and had to be sent back for “reheating”. The Yorkshire puddings were Tesco or Iceland value, extremely flat and small. My husband didn’t even receive any on his plate. Pudding - two scoops of basic ice cream for adults or a screwball for children. £40 adults/£25 children. The waiters said the dinners were bad because they specialise in curries not Turkey dinners. Why then offer meals you cannot cook? We did not expect an Indian Christmas dinner to be like a homemade one, but warm, unburnt and of average quality at least was the expectation. The restaurant has clearly bought the most basic frozen ingredients possible to make the highest amount of profit and sadly it’s ruined the Christmas dinners of those visiting. Absolutely would not recommend for Christmas Day, get a ready meal instead.

Have ordered food here many times over the years, never had an issue, great service and quality. Chicken Tikka Madras is awesome and king prawn puree also awesome. Did have a takeaway tonight, chilli chicken Tikka Balti and ordered a Keema Naan, got it home and the Naan was a cheese Naan, not what I wanted or ordered but it was home so I went with it. It was very good, new one for me and loved it even thou it was a mistake. It was at 5pm as well so I guess another phone order got the Keema Naan, hope they liked it.

I'm not too sure how cinnamon gets such good reviews. I've had 2 takeaways from here, having just moved to the area. I thought I'd give it benefit of the doubt. On both occasions the food had weird cold spots indicating the meal wasn't warmed through properly. It was a lot more expensive than most restaurants so expected better. I find it pretty disappointing as we are very local. The nann bread was good and the only thing fully warmed. I have a condition whereby I need to avoid bacteria and the 2nd occasion had a tummy upset the following day. I will not recommend at all!

We have used this restaurant many times over many years. Recently had delivery, rang up because after over an hour it hadn’t arrived, was told it was on the way, clearly wasn’t as 40 mins later still hadn’t arrived. Asked delivery man if it was still hot, he assured us it was, it wasn’t. So disappointing as we are now going to go elsewhere for delivery.

Very cold food, spilled sauces, a cucumber and yogurt sauce that was all so watery, almost 2 hours waiting, called the restaurant, they said we have a very busy Sunday, the driver excuse was there was a very big accident! Bad lies especially about big accident!!! I had one and lost a limb. Underwhelming food, cold food, ps my creamy king prawns? the tiniest prawns I ever seen, was really a soup? Never I ever again will order nor suggest to use this so called restaurant, if you can handle the deliveries due the fact that you have one driver then all suddenly 2, use deliveroo drivers! As that it is where my order came from! Man up. Bad response from restaurant and driver.

Food quality and taste is good. The portion sizes are small which loses a star. The delivery driver turned up without any change which loses another star.

The extensive menu catering for vegetarian and meat eaters is excellent and you shouldn't miss this one out. Off the beaten track yes but well worth the effort.

The food is delicious and the variety is fantastic. Always arrived fresh and piping hot, I always ask for the garlic and onion to be removed because of preference and this has always been accommodated which is an absolute first for any indian restaurant I've ordered from! The staff is incredibly kind and polite, deliveries are always prompt and the staff deliver it themselves which is nice. A wonderful experience, would highly recommend. :)

Food and service is always the best, lots of variety of mouth watering dishes to choose from, definitely home style cooking traditional food. Try it for yourself to find out and you will not be disappointed! My favourite is Cinnamon special Tawa, Jaypury Jalfry, Kingprawn Garlic Mushrooms. They can also do any dishes in vegetarian or vegan option so it’s a choice for everyone really!

Good food and friendly service as always hear. You have to buy alcoholic drinks in the shop nextdoor or bring it with you.

6 people ate from the main menu. A mixture of vegan and meat eaters all catered for. Starters aloo chatt puree chicken chatt puree and prawn chatt puree all excellent and highly recommended. Mains sides rice and bread were also beyond reproach. You should definitely visit this hidden gem if you are able.

Staff friendly and polite. Takeaway, on the whole, was good, but they forgot to pack the lime pickle. The food was tasty in general, but the Dansak was much too mild for me, but perhaps that's more of a personal preference.

Cinnamon is my absolute number one go to for curry! I won’t go nowhere else, been going for a few years now and have become good friends with the staff to. Very good meal I recommend fish tikka starter and the garlic special bhuna. The naga rice is excellent to get that wonderful flavour without a complete hot meal. Sides quite small but delicious.

After reading the reviews on TA thought we would give the restaurant a try and ordered a takeaway. Wife and son had chicken tikka balti and duck korma which were ok. Even though my wife balti was an odd red colour.The biggest let down was my so called chicken tikka dhansk. No sure if I could spot one lentil in the dish. Again the curry was an odd red colour and was the blandest curry I have ever tasted. There was no heat or spice flavour in the dish, it might well have been chicken in tomato sauce. Sorry Cinnamon put we will not be back.

Excellant value, service, and a great place to relax, and enjoy real proper Indian food, so well cooked, it is amazing. And listening to other customers, we (4) were not the only ones who went away satisfied. The food is to die for, brilliant. Been there about 10 times now and everytime, we are treated like royalty. We cannot imagine going elsewhere. The olace is fantastic, so Just Try It...
